When the same annoying guy once again questioned Gio's decision, telling everyone that it was quite questionable to not hear out Mr. Miller's supposition about the possible switching of proposal contents, Sofony's remaining patience for him finally snapped. She watched as Gio take over, the other man only shut up when Gio challenged him to explain how else Mr. Miller and the presenter could not be related given all the facts and spoken pieces of evidence.

Marc Goldwin shrugged. He zippered his mouth, and sat back down, letting peace and order returned to the gla.s.s room. He had no choice because if he continued pus.h.i.+ng this issue, people would start doubting his IQ and motive. After all, the fat man's crime was already bared exposed to everyone's eyes. People allowed to attend this meeting were no idiots. What more was needed to be explained?

Thus, he shut up.

The rest of the conference was spent on the remaining reports and presentations.

There had been a few talks about rival businesses, promotions, and propaganda, but after these, Gio concluded the meeting and led Sofony out of the place.

However, like what was mentioned earlier, Sofony was already very angry at this irritating dog-slayer. Her patience for him had long dried up the first time this hateful guy tried to make Gio appear rash in making decisions in front of everyone. This was why before completely stepping out of the room, she gave Marc one last glare. Then he hypnotized the rest of the people in the room, using a few keywords to discreetly instill a memory in their brain.

That time, she thought, although she couldn't make the person do something very shameful or harmful to himself because of his mysterious but not unheard-of hypnosis resistance, she was still an S- hypnotist! He was out of the question. True. But what about everyone else?

The girl really wanted to teach the man a lesson for what he did against Gio. The dog-incident still not written off the list of his sins.

Thus, her face was calm on the outside. But deep inside, she was thinking,

'What happened to them? Why are they peeking at me like that? Are they looking down on me just because I lost a battle of words against Gio?'

His face crumpled at the thought that he was being seen as a loser as a consequence of failing to make Gio lose face there. He really hated being compared to the man. The two of them were very capable and intelligent people. Both of them could win against many, no matter if it was about money, power, women. They were ahead of all men around their age. The only thing unacceptable for Marc was the fact that he rarely won against Gio.

People might find it weird that despite claiming rivalry against the other, he was still a board member in many of Gio's ventures. Actually, the other man was also like that. Marc was also someone who had numerous companies and in his corporation, Gio was also a shareholder. If others might say, they didn't look compet.i.tors, but bosom friends. It could be traced that they were both from the military before. Both were from reputable old rich families. They began dipping into business at the same time. If they were real compet.i.tors, then their compet.i.tion was way too weird, way too healthy.

Then again, which stupid company owner would let an enemy be part of his own business?

Well, we had an answer. For Gio, it was pure business. For Marc, he really wanted to win against the other and step all over him, proving to the world that once Conrad Albarez steps down, it would be him who would be crowned as the new king of Country F's business world!
