The Sinners' Queen 89 After That Day - Chris' Version 1

A/N: You can treat this as a side story, this took place after the Fake Wendy subarc.

Back to four days ago, Tuesday morning.

Due to some weird reasons, he woke up feeling groggy and his head ached so much that he really felt like dying.

"d.a.m.n! Did someone hit me on the head with a bat or anything hard?" he complained, furrowing his brows at the pain that overwhelmed him.

Moments later, after hugging his head for a minute or two, he started feeling dizzy.

Memories he couldn't initially remember came rus.h.i.+ng in, prompting him to not know which was which.

There were two sets of memories playing in his mind. And because they're contrary to each other, his brain couldn't tell which one to acknowledge as real.

The first told him that after he saw the real Wendy flee, he ended up spending a night at a hotel. This seemed to be the more logical one as he had indeed woke up in an unfamiliar room. When he also walked out of the room, he saw an elevator nearby which obviously his house or any other normal house couldn't possibly have.

It was around 7:30 am. After checking himself out and seeing that he was wearing a suspiciously unfamiliar set of clothes, he shook his head and realized that many things actually still didn't add up. Then while walking back home to change into uniforms, he tried to a.n.a.lyze the second set of memories.

The second suggested that he fled with the real Wendy to Velvet City. Then around midnight, someone who seemed to be Wendy's nerdy best friend arrived. This girl caught him by surprise when she suddenly hypnotized him to forget many things.

He was even almost slapped to death, left at a train station to freeze to death. However, the violent woman went back to hypnotize him again. It seemed she wanted him to make his family or friends believe that he overnighted at some acquaintance's house... That doesn't make sense though. But he finally realized everything that happened.

And his latest discovery chilled his heart. There was a recurring sentence in his brain telling him, no, ordering him to come to school, saying everything was already alright. And he was currently sweating buckets as he asked himself, how could that possibly be.

He heard this sentence when he arrived at school. As he joined the last batch of latecomers jogging a lap around the circle, Chris' brain which still hurt from the returning memories throbbed again, aching due to the system's unwelcomed shout.

Then the system deliberately complained and shouted to make his headache worse. Chris also got angry and shouted at it to go away. Somehow his outburst immediately shut it up, making it quietly cry in one corner of his mind.

While feeling so tired and beat up, he finally finished the lap. He waited a bit for others to catch up. Then when everyone finally reached the finish line, the strict baton-wielding guard finally let his batch go to their respective cla.s.srooms.

"Chris Meyer! You're so crazy, huh? You have the cheeks to go to cla.s.s at 9:40 am?" the fat History teacher glared at him angrily.

The gloomy-faced bloke only stared back at him, then recited the apology line taught to them since elementary, "Sorry teacher, sorry cla.s.smates, I'm late."

Of course, the teacher got angrier since there was no trace of politeness or sincerity from his voice. Unfortunately, Chris had already sat at the back, leaving the fat man with no choice but hammer the table with his fist.

"Hey, what happened to you? You look like you are raped!" whispered to him by one of his friends.

His seatmate was merely joking because he looked a bit sweaty and tired, but Chris eyed him icily, rendering his friend Larry to immediately shut up.

The stupid system's cries echoed loudly in his mind.

How Chris wished for the unbound system to be like Larry who could be shut up with a glare. With a tired sigh, he started taking out his notebook and pen. A female cla.s.smate close to his seat shyly pa.s.sed her Math notebook to him. He gratefully accepted it. Math was their first subject which he missed an hour ago so he was grateful that someone let him have her notes.

He first copied what was on the board and then switched to the other one. This made him unable to focus on the fat teacher's lectures.

Though actually, even if he had no notes to copy, he still would not be able to listen to any discussion. The event yesterday just couldn't be erased from his mind. There were also other students nearby him who were sneakily talking about it. Someone even commented that their fat teacher's bad mood was due to his best friend, Teacher Matthew.

He once again sighed, hating the hosts that caused all of this. Yes, it was hosts. He thought so much about it and hypothesized that if Sofony Mendez and Clarissa Guzman were hosts, then there could only be an ongoing fight within the two. The innocent Wendy got pulled into it. And when he tried to trace where these two's frictions started, he only thought of one. It was the rumored bathroom incident between Steffy Mendez and Vienna Lacson. An incident that ended with the latter almost slapped to death by the nerdy G.o.ddess.

Thinking of all the lives pulled into their conflict, his face hardened in hate.

'A teacher was stabbed, his life and death unknown.'

'An innocent student almost turned into a monster. If she was left alone yesterday, she would have totally broken down by now, believing she killed someone due to sudden craziness.'

'And lastly, me who only tried to help yet ended up hypnotized and slapped...'

Actually, he suspected there were others affected by the incident. The other teachers who saw the stabbing incident live would probably develop some mental trauma or psychological shadows. The teacher's family members too would have bad impressions of their school's security. He would not even be surprised if they leak some news outside to create another bad rumor about their academy.

Chris really hated the person who orchestrated this. He also could not feel any good impression towards the other host. If his guess was correct, then if it was not for their feud, then all of this would not have happened.

If only he could send them to jail...

When his line of thoughts s.h.i.+fted to this, the system became alarmed and hurriedly advised.

Chris went silent for a while, then answered, 'There's a system much more annoying than you? And what plan? I never plan to do anything! b.a.s.t.a.r.d!'

For the whole morning, Chris' headache never went away. He didn't know if he's being punished, but the system added itself to it as it continued crying and complaining within his brain. As time pa.s.sed, his already gloomy face became worse, to the point that he also wanted to shout an 'FML'.

And so before the morning cla.s.ses ended, he didn't manage to control himself anymore and had cursed out to the system,

'What kindest AI? What most behaved? You pervertly urged me to r*pe someone. If my brain is not sound, I would have already completed your mission by now, at my morality and principle's expense. You also kept frying my brain with complaints and cries. And you claim you're the kindest? Dammit! You're making me puke! Yeah, scoundrel! Go f*ck your life!'
