Meanwhile, Stacy might not hear anything from the people outside but observing their facial reaction and the atmosphere around them, they should have been talking about a very important thing. She saw it pa.s.s the gla.s.s wall that separates her private room from the living room; one thing that she likes about the suite room at the Gentz hospital, but somehow hated it as well especially if she wanted to hear the people's conversation. Too bad, she couldn't, although she was too intrigue about what they were talking about.
But then, Eli was with her. it wouldn't be a good idea to let Eli out when the elderly folks are having a conversation. Especially that it looks so serious.
On the other hand, Master Omni finally voiced his thoughts.
"You were saying something earlier… about the accident? I wonder what you mean by that." the old man curiously asked.
Sherry, who was sitting on the couch opposite them suddenly lowered her head in guilt.
"It was not an accident. It was definitely murder." She uttered.
"Are you perhaps pertaining to my parents? Miss Sherry?" Ethan cleared his throat.
The woman nodded in agreement while the two Williams leaned backward with no idea how to respond.
"Johnny and Lira's car was jammed that night."
"Are you saying….?" Ethan thought something but couldn't say it upfront.
"They were killed." She paused. "The golden egg and the Saphiro Gentz empire, he wanted it for himself. He got some powerful people to support him back then." Then she looked at Ethan.
"He was also planning to kill you that time, Ethan, if your parents failed to deliver the golden egg. that's why they needed to hand you over to someone until they sort out their issues against him."
"So that explains why I had to live in the orphanage, I guess." Ethan smirked with bitterness.
"Your mom and dad went against him but he was too strong for them to handle." She continued.
Upon hearing her statement, Master Omni lowered his head in guilt. If only he helped them back then, if only he accepted Lira as his son's wife then they shouldn't have died. It was his fault. Master Omni regretted that day he discarded them away from his mansion.
"I'm sorry, Ethan… it was all my fault." Master Omni apologetically voiced. "If I didn't cast them off, then probably, they should have live until now. I'm sorry."
"Grandpa, it's not your fault. It was Silver's to begin with."
"Killing you would be his best option for him to own the Saphiro Gentz Empire." Master Omni explained.
"But why would he go to that extent?" Ethan wanted to know the whole story.
"Because his grandfather was my co-founder for the Gentz Empire. When the old man died, he didn't leave any share for Silver. That made Silver believed that I killed him. but the truth is, his grandfather master Curtis gray, intended not to allow Silver inside the company. I don't know why but probably, he saw what the man is capable of." The old man explained.
"That's why he wanted the golden egg. Cole and I were witnesses of what had happen to them that night but we couldn't do anything. We tried to help them out but we were also on the run that night. I'm sorry." Sherry apologizes.
"However, before Johnny and Lira died, they had entrusted Cole of something. I don't have any idea what that is, only Cole knew. Johnny said that the stuff will paralyze Silver for good --- all of his operations will be expose to the world. But Cole didn't disclose any information to me so I basically don't know anything."
Sherry suddenly shuddered when she remembered that dreadful night.
"Cole tagged me along with him the day he decided to find that stuff. It was an out of town mission. But he died. I was supposed to die too, but I don't why and how I survived the raging sea." She explained.
"Are this information the only things you've got?" Rio asked suspiciously. "And I wonder why are you telling us these things just now?"
Sherry was taken aback since she was not expecting that question from Rio. she thought he understand why. Was he that mad at her? Is he not happy to know the truth behind his mother's death?
"I'm sorry, I just got my memory back. But if you are pertaining about the past then you should understand how young, weak and helpless I felt that time. I was afraid, not just for myself but also for my daughters. I know it's too late for me to divulge the truth, but I hope it would somehow lighten up the burdens from the past. I'm truly sorry."
Sherry kowtowed and was about to turn around to leave the gentlemen but she halted when she recalled something.
"By the way, you should know that you three was his original target since the beginning. And just so you know, Liam is currently working with Silver right now." then Sherry exited the room for a while.
She couldn't bear the atmosphere at the moment so she decided to get some air at the hospital's rooftop.
Rio, Ethan and Master Omni was left in deep thought. not a word was heard, only heavy breathings. But the silence was broken when Eli peeked through the room and called out for Ethan.Find authorized novels in Webnovel, faster updates, better experience,Please click www.webnovel.com for visiting.
"Dad…?" Ethan suddenly jerked when he heard a tiny soft voice echoed in the other room. He stood up and went near him.
"Yes, sweetheart?" he knelt to meet his eyes.
"She wants to talk to you." then he faced the woman leaning on the edge of the bed who stared back at him.
"Okay, sweetheart." He smiled at the young boy then he run off towards his great paps. As soon as Eli sat on Master Omni's lap, he went inside after closing the door.
"Hi." He awkwardly greeted the woman.
"I'm sorry for calling you. I just want to know how was the search for my sister?" her eyes were looking for answers but Ethan averted his eyes somewhere.
"Hunter and the others went to check a potential hiding place. We're hoping to find her as soon as possible within the day."
Stacy smiled at him knowing that they were all doing their best to find Erika.
"Ethan, I'm not sure if I have already given you my blessing for your relations.h.i.+p with my sister Erika. But If I didn't, then I just want to let you know that I support you. I'm sorry that I agreed to be a tool for Silver's plan against you. I'm sorry." she lowered her head guiltily.
"Stacy, I'm sorry--- for everything. If only I was wise enough back then, if only I didn't force my heart on you, if only I did a little background check on you, then we could have avoided things to get worse like this. I'm truly sorry."
"Loving someone is not a sin. Unfortunately, you got the wrong person when you saw me first. But just so you know, it's not hard to love you. however, I have already given my heart and soul to someone else before you even came. I'm totally sorry for not being a good person to you and Eli. And I regret that a lot."
Ethan finally smiled. "Then is it safe to say that were good now?"
Stacy chuckled. "Ehm." She nodded. "And please do find my sister. whatever happens, don't ever give up on her."
"That's not a promise for me to make rather a commitment to take." He voiced with confidence.
