One Night With The Prince Chapter 237 - Love Each Other

Alexa, Prince Alexander, and Chrissy all looked at the same time and were stunned when they heard President Grant said those words.   "I now p.r.o.nounce you husband and wife."  They didn't know that he came back just in time after Alexa finished her bow to Prince Alexander.

"Congratulation!"  President Grant told the couple and hugged Alexa before giving her a light kiss on her forehead.  After doing that, he then went to Prince Alexander and shook his hands before patting him on his shoulder.  "Welcome to the family, you Highness!"  He said with a wide grin on his face.

"Thank you, sir!"  Prince Alexander replied with an equal grin on his face as he shakes President Grant's hands.

Chrissy tries to get up so she could hug the two, but instead... Alexa and Prince Alexander came to her, and both embraced her.  Tears were flowing down Chrissy's face as she gives her motherly advice to the two.

"Love each other and never let anyone come between the two of you.  You are both an adult and can decide for yourself.  Especially you!  Your Highness, you better fight for my daughter, or I will come after you."  She threatened, while still smiling with tears coming down her face.

Prince Alexander gave her a peck on her cheek as he made his promise.  " I promise to fight for our love, till death do us part...  Mother-in-law!"  He said with a straight face.

President Grant smiled when he heard Prince Alexander called Chrissy mother-in-law.  He also likes it that he made a solemn promise to fight for his daughter.  He couldn't ask for anything else...

When everyone finds out that President Grant had solemnized Prince Alexander and Alexa's bows.  They congratulated them with full force.  There was only one unhappy person... Little Jeffrey, who began throwing a tantrum when he heard what the adult was saying.

"Congratulations!  May you two be blessed with twins as well."  Ann was giving her best wishes for the couple.  Jeff, Ethan, Eva, Albert, and Sophia followed suits.

Last but not least, it was grandma Grant's turn.  "Well, what can I say?  except..."  She first looked at Prince Alexander, grabs his hands, and hooks it together with Alexa.  "You two love one another!  Don't ever let anyone hinders you from gaining happiness.  Fighting!"  She then laughs out loud while tears began forming in her eyes.

Everyone went to bid Chrissy goodnight before they left.  Sophia had promised that she would go back the next day and would stay until she knows that Chrissy was out of danger.  

Ann, Jeff, Eva, and Ethan all congratulated Prince Alexander and Alexa, even though they know that their marriage was not official yet.  Since Chrissy still bedridden, Alexa and Prince Alexander promised to stay until they know she's out of danger zone.  

They postponed their plan of getting married at Las Vegas.  Since President Grant had already announced them, husband and wife, they took as they are married already.  They would sign the marriage license once Alexa turned over her crown to the upcoming Miss Universe.

With that, the Go and the Tan family all flew back to the Philippines a couple of days later.  Alexa and Prince Alexander stayed long enough for the newlywed Daniel and Andrea to arrive and take over.

Andrea was over the moon when she arrived.  "Oh' sister... I'm so happy for you!  I can't wait to begin drafting your wedding gown.  I'm going to make you the most beautiful wedding gown fit for a Crown Princess.  I have an idea already, and I can't wait to start."  Andrea said, excitedly.

Meanwhile, Daniel asked Prince Alexander to go somewhere to have a drink and to have a man to man talk.  Once they were at Daniel's private club.  Once Daniel has enough alcohol in his body before he began his sermon to Prince Alexander.  He let everything out, all the pent up anguish that he had been holding for almost a year.

"I don't know why your parents couldn't accept my sister.  What is wrong with her?  You will never be able to find a girl like Alexa.  She's beautiful, smart, came from a good family.  What else is missing? I really couldn't understand your parents?"  He keeps on repeating over and over again.

Prince Alexander whose also had enough alcohol in his body to last him a lifetime, spoke.  "I, too, don't understand why?  I am to find out what had happened that night when I almost died. 

"Someone had pushed me off the balcony when I was trying to save Princess Angelica.  Who?  I have an idea.  However, I cannot accuse someone unless I can find proof that he did it."  He said while he's speech was slurred.

Daniel's eyes widened when he heard what Prince Alexander had said.  "Are you sure that someone had pushed you off the balcony?  You didn't fall off because you miscalculated your footings and fell with Princess Angelica when she jumped off?"  Daniel asked, anxiously.

"I'm sure of that, at least.  Princess Angelica and my mother had put a drug in my drink. Meanwhile, your sister was thirsty and had drunk some as well.  We were on our way out to the garden to get some fresh air, but she needed to stop in the ladies' room.  Therefore, we went, and as I was waiting outside, someone knocked me out.  When I woke up, I was in one of the rooms in the palace, and it's not my room.

"I a.s.sumed Princess Angelica was trying to wake me up, and when I didn't, she asked for a counter medicine for the drug that they had given me.  However, things didn't go her way, for I would not touch her,  that's when she threatened me that she would jump off the balcony.

"Let me tell you, and I don't care if she does, but not on my account.  Therefore, I tried to prevent her from jumping off, and I know she was only trying to scare me...  I was able to make it to the balcony and grab hold of her as she was trying to climb the balcony railing... And that's when someone had pushed us.  The rest was history, and you know, since I heard that without your help, I would have been dead."  

Daniel was astounded after hearing Prince Alexander's story.  He knew that someone had pushed them off the balcony, but actually to listen to it from Prince Alexander's mouth... He also has an idea who it is.  But why?  What would he gain from murdering his sister?  

"Don't worry, your Highness, and I will have my team look into this.  Let me ask you this...  Do you think the person that had done this is Crown Prince Romano of the Spaniard Kingdom or someone else?"  Daniel asked, curiously.

Prince Alexander was stunned that Daniel Grant could even suspect Crown Prince Romano.  However, he too suspects the man, and he bobbed his head up and down.  "Yes!  I do believe that it's Crown Prince Romano.  For what motive would he have, I don't know?"  He said why his slurring a lot more than before.

Daniel smiled a little when he realized that Prince Alexander had a little too much to drink.  From the way he was slurring his words, Daniel knew that Prince Alexander's already way over the limit.

"Your Highness, I think we need to stop right here.  I'm afraid that we would get in trouble if we both come home drunk."  Daniel banters, while a smile procured on his handsome face.

Prince Alexander, like the word he just heard, came out of Daniels's mouth.  "Home!" 

"I think you are right, and I don't want my wife to give me a beating.  Let's stop here and sober up before we go home!"  Prince Alexander emphasized the word 'WIFE & HOME' loud and clear.  He loves the sound of the word coming out of his mouth.  He then smiled, and the two dimples on both of his cheeks deepened...

They made it back to the White House without a mishap.
