One Night With The Prince Chapter 238 - Prince Ramon

Meanwhile, back in the Philippines, Jeff and Ramon were having lunch together.   The first thing that Jeff did when he went to work was called Ramon and asked to meet with him over lunch.  Jeff and Ann had a long conversation about Ramon Le Grand and Alexa.  Jeff still believes that Alexa would be better off with Ramon rather than with Prince Alexander.

However, Ann insisted that Alexa would never fall for Ramon even if Prince Alexander doe's not existed.  Alexa had told Ann at one point that the only feelings she has for Ramon were like a brother, the same way she feels with her older brother Daniel. 

Therefore, Ann deduced that even if Prince Alexander did not come to the picture, she probably would have fallen for another man.

Jeff couldn't argue with Ann's reasoning.  He decided to inform Ramon about Prince Alexander and Alexa's current situation.

Ramon had a serious look on his face when he arrived at Manila Pen Club for men.  It's an elite club for men that catered to the rich and famous.  Jeff, Ethan, and now Ramon are all members, and this is where they hang out, eat lunch, play cards, etc...

When Jeff saw Ramon came, he got up from he was sitting and shook hands.  When Jeff saw how seriously haggard Ramon's handsome face, he shook his head as he sat back down.  His first initial intention was to inform him that he has no chance with Alexa whatsoever.  He was determined that he would tell Ramon about Prince Alexander's revival, but after seeing the way, Ramon's feature was more like a dead man walking...  He changed his mind and decided to talk about business instead.

Ramon was devastated when he found out that Alexa had left that day.  He was excited that everyone was gone and went to America for Thanksgiving.  He would have Alexa to himself, and he had made all kinds of plans.  Sadly, when he arrived at Alexa's villa, there was only the housekeeper cleaning.

"Excuse me, do you know when did the lady that was staying here left?"  He asked, sadly.

"I'm sorry, sir, but I have no clue.  When I arrive today, the security people were the only ones here.  I think ma'am had left a long time  ago." Was the reply he received from the housekeeper.  Ramon has no choice but to turn around and go back to his villa.

Since he knew that Jeff and his family were out of the country, he has no one to ask.  Then he remembers Ronald...  He quickly looks up his phone number and calls him anxiously.

When Ronald saw his number, he knew what the reason Ramon was calling him was.  Therefore, he ignored the call and continued with what he was doing.  He already had enough with Jeff and Ann's love story, and it is his time to leave a quiet life away from all the drama.

When Ramon didn't get a response from Ronald, he decided to let it go and try his best to forget Alexa...  She didn't even say goodbye to him.  That could only mean one thing, and he's not important enough for her to bother herself.  With that thinking, he decided to let go and forget Alexa for good...  Easier said than done. For he's been left like a dead man walking ever since.

"Well, that was a good lunch, I will go ahead and head back to the office,"  Ramon said as he got up with a saddened face.  

Jeff got up as well and shook hands with Ramon.  "Sure, man!  Hey!  If you have nothing to do for Christmas, why don't you come and spend it with us?"  Invite Jeff, sincerely.  He couldn't understand why he still feels that Ramon is the man for his cousin-in-law.  But, oh' well!  It's not up to him to meddle in their love affair.  He might end up in the dog house if his wife finds out.   Jeff thought as his gaze follows Ramon as he walks out of the club.

While Ramon was driving back to his office, he received a call from his mother, Lady Lucy Le Grand.  A scowl procured on his handsome face as he sighed.   He pushed the b.u.t.ton to answer her call, and her voice rung loudly on the speaker.

"Son!!!  You need to come home!  Your father is in his death bed, and the King's advisors had asked me to contact you.  Hurry!  They might be thinking of de-crowning Prince Alexander and give you the t.i.tle.  Hurry!"  Lady Lucy was anxiously telling her son as she shouted on the other side of the line.

Ramon was not interested in the position and had no inkling of going back to that life.  He doesn't care for the crown, and he's not interested in going back to the Spaniard Kingdom nor Stonasia, for that matter.  

However, as he listened to his mother mumbles about him being chosen by the King advisors.  He got into thinking...  'What if, that is what if...  He takes the crown...  Would Alexa then fall for her?'

"Mother, I'm driving right now.  How about I call you back once I arrive at the office.  Alright?"  He quickly turned off the call and didn't give his mother a chance to reply...

The next day, Ramon flew to Stonasia to meet with the King's advisors, and he was informed of Prince Alexander's condition.  He was next in line as successor to the crown if anything happens to the King.  Therefore, they wanted to tell Ramon that if and when the time comes that the King pa.s.ses away, in case that Prince Alexander was not capable...  He would be the next King of Stonasia.

After learning that, it made Lady Lucy Le Grand, the happiest woman.  Finally, her time is coming... Once Ramon becomes the King of Stonasia, she would be the King's mother...  And she could then kick the Queen's a.r.s.e.  With that thought, Lady Lucy would do everything in her power to make sure that Ramon becomes the next King of Stonasia, even if she needs to get rid of Prince Alexander for good...

Unknown to Lady Lucy that Prince Alexander is more than capable of taking the reign and would be coming home with a Queen in tow... 

She would need to do a lot of scheming for Ramon Le Grand to be the next King of Stonasia.
