Granting You A Second Life Chapter 159 - Seeing Is Believing But You Have To Believe To See

Li Xiuying got out of the car and helped the boys out. They stood and waited.

Li Xiuying called Madame Qin: "We are waiting in the allotted parking s.p.a.ce." She had booked 4 parking s.p.a.ces near the private area she had booked. 

Madame Qin: "Okay dear. We will be arriving shortly."

Li Xiuying: "I will require some help unloading please."

Madame Qin said excitedly: "No problem. Oh, I can see you. Whoopsie." She waved to them and the car swerved slightly. 

Li Xiuying looked up the road and was surprised to find madame Qin driving a cute little sports car. She saw a stoic but pale He Bo sitting in the pa.s.senger seat. 

Li Xiuying: "Boys, follow me." She was going to stand a safe distance away. A very safe distance.

Madame Qin sped up into the parking s.p.a.ce like she was a stunt driver shooting a scene for a movie. She opened the door and got out: "Would you stop looking so scared He Bo. Just a little pedal to the metal never hurt anyone. A healthy dose of adrenaline is good for your soul."

Little 4th tugged Li Xiuying's top and whispered: "Mommy is a little reckless when she drives. Daddy says she was a girl racer in another life. That's why she isn't allowed to drive with the others."

Lee HuiQing: "Uncle Qin reminded auntie that he had forbade her from driving uth 1 before he left thith 2 morning."

Little 4th: "Mommy was given rules by daddy a long time ago. Daddy said she was allowed to only drive adults who didn't know better or bodyguards."

Li Xiuying opened her boot which was packed to the brim. 

Madame Qin: "You must have been good at Tetris."

Lee HuiQing: "What-th Tetri-th?"

Little 4th: "It's probably a game they used to playback in the day."

Madame Qin was surprised that Lee HuiQing was speaking in public. She pretended she hadn't noticed and teased little 4th instead: "My young master Qin Zhen, what do you know about back in the day? Mommy thinks that back in the day you were busy drinking milk."

Everyone laughed as Little 4th went red with embarra.s.sment. 

He Bo lifted 2 enormous picnic baskets from the boot.  

Li Xiuying went to the front pa.s.senger seat and grabbed a large black bag from the floor. 

Soon a large seven-seater Mercedes parked up in the s.p.a.ce next to Li Xiuying car. Qin Jie was sitting in the front pa.s.senger seat still reading a book. 

Soon the whole party was reunited and standing together. 

Li Xiuying checked the time: "Caretaker will be here shortly."

After 10 minutes an elderly man drove up. 

Li Xiuying walked over to the man so she could speak to him in private.

Caretaker: "h.e.l.lo Miss Li."

Li Xiuying: "h.e.l.lo."

Caretaker: "We've arranged everything as per your instructions. If you follow the pathway up into those trees over there, you will find the clearing with the equipment. The packages you ordered are also there."

Li Xiuying: "Security?"

The caretaker pulled out the stack of papers he had and handed them over: "These are all the workers including myself and our details. We've arranged for the clearing to be guarded so no one external to your party may enter. The perimeter has also been cordoned off with tape and signs. I will also be waiting by your cars if you need anything else." One of Li Xiuying's requirements was to have the cars guarded. He didn't know who she was or anything about the guests but he could tell they were very important. 

Li Xiuying nodded: "Thank you."

The caretaker: "Not at all. Not at all." Li Xiuying had paid a very generous amount to hire this area and also for the personnel, suffice to say no one was complaining.  

They both walked back over to the group. 

The caretaker: "Ladies and gentlemen. Mini Sirs and Mini Miss please follow me. I will have the pleasure of escorting you all to the enchanted part of the park that very few have the privilege of experiencing. Seeing is believing but you have to believe to see. "

Li Xiuying ' He's a pretty good showman .'

One of the other bodyguards had picked up the black bag. 

Little 4th felt extremely excited, he couldn't wait to see the surprise that his big sister had planned for him.  

Lee HuiQing was intrigued. 

Gou Sheng and Jun Wen were skeptical. Rui Rui was still sulking and determined not to partake in the mommy stealers plan.

Little 4th and Lee HuiQing each grabbed one of Li Xiuying's hands. 

The group ambled up the pathway. 

Rui Rui gasped and pointed at something on the floor. Beautiful colored stones were sporadically littering the floor. 

Gou Sheng: "Clearly they were placed here by someone. If that's the case then I can just ask my parents to get some for me."

Caretaker: "Mmm that could be what happened. Why don't you go and pick one up and see?"

Gou Sheng's face contorted: "You want us to pick up dirt? I'm not sure if my parents would be happy with that."

Jun Wen: "I'm not touching it. Do you know how many germs live in bacteria?"

Li Xiuying went forward she searched her backpack and pulled out a metal spoon. She switched her gloves to some plain black ones and bent forward. She brushed away from dirt and looked at the stone seriously: "Doesn't look new." She handed it to little 4th. 

Little 4th stared at the stone, it was a rock that was in the shape of a small dragon's head. The surface felt like it was weathered with time. There was still some dirt on it. "Is it a Gongs.h.i.+?"

Madame Qin: "Scholars have long since appreciated these naturally occurring rocks."

Little 4th was delighted.

The others had made their way towards little 4th and were crowding to see the rock.

Lee HuiQing headed towards Li Xiuying and whispered: " Thiter 1 I want one too pleathe 2 ."

Li Xiuying: "Let's explore."

Lee HuiQing immediately began searching the ground as he walked. 

Just as the caretaker reached the first tree he pretended to trip and unearthed some rocks. "Ahh."

He Bo strode forward and righted the old man who seemed to have a penchant for acting. 

The caretaker: "Thank you, I'm okay. Nearly felt my old ticker beat right out my chest."

He Bo felt like rolling his eyes. 

Lee HuiQing found there was something sticking up from the ground that was stirred up. He ran forward and squatted down. Li Xiuying handed him the multipurpose spoon. He took it and began digging around. His clothes became slightly messy, his shoes were covered in mud but he looked happy. He saw a shaped rock in the ground and carefully picked it up. 

Li Xiuying looked on from behind: "Bird."

Lee HuiQing angled it and saw that it did appear like a bird in flight. The edges of the rock were rough, a small part was even broken off. 

Little 4th: "I'm the azure dragon and you're the vermillion bird!"

Rui Rui tugged on Qin Jie's sleeve: "Big brother I want one too."

Qin Jie: "We can just buy you one."

Madame Qin cleared her throat and gave Qin Jie a sharp look: "Jie'er. Rui Rui wants to find one herself."

Qin Jie put his book in his jacket pocket. 'What Gongs.h.i.+? As naturally as the plastic. These were all clearly bought and planted by Li Xiuying.  What's the difference if I buy one?'

The caretaker: "Little miss let's enter the enchanted area I'm not sure if we can find you one. The spirits have already been generous."

Rui Rui was about to cry.

The caretaker panicked a little he just wanted to make it more realistic by stating that it shouldn't be taken for granted. After all, if the treasure hunt was too easy then no-one would believe it.

Lee HuiQing: "Rui Rui you have to work hard and find your own treathure 1 ." He solemnly gave her the spoon as if he was pa.s.sing on the mantle. 

Rui Rui sniffed clutched the spoon: "I'll find my own." 

Lee HuiQing patted her on the head: "I'll help."

Little 4th: "Me too."

Gou Sheng and Jun Wen were standing to the side. They both too wanted to try and find a Gongs.h.i.+, but they had been too vocal with their complaints and disgust earlier. It would only hurt their pride now if they went and lowered their heads.
