The Avarice System 70 Wolves 2

'Something inside of me, wants to fight this beast!' The battle could be risky, still desire was getting stronger with every second.

'I can always hide inside of s.p.a.ce.' This thinking was little naïve, still entering s.p.a.ce didn't take much time and calculating properly timings could allow him to improve his fighting capability.

The wolf didn't rush at him, but to his companion. The wounded beast was laying on a ground with hard breath. The fate of the beast was set in stone, male wolf licked head of its dying comrade.

HOWL! It was mourning with loud howls. The wolf's pack was like family, so every death was depressing for a group. 

'My blood is boiling for this battle. It's stupid! I don't have advantage over this beast!' His intelligence started doubting his own sanity. Repeating the same mistake over and over again, result won't change and his luck might run out. 

'System?' His past self didn't fight almost unwinnable battles, and difference must be in his new body.

'Bloodline is turning me into warmonger? I need to suppress this feeling!' Solving every problem through battle wasn't smart. His future will be filled with battles, still losing his sanity and reasoning to fulfill odd bloodline need was stupid.

'No! I won't remove bloodline. I will find solution for it.' The vision of losing most of his strength was grim, there were many solutions for his bloodthirst and anger issues.

The wolf started to run into his direction, Aron focused his entire will to retreat. Battle with the stronger opponent was pointless, one of his arms was injured. 

'I am slower than a beast. I have few seconds of advantage.' Aron started to run into direction of village, it was risky. Rirak could a.s.sist him, and they could take beast down together.

It was battle with time; beast could attack a village in its rage. There was possibility of entering s.p.a.ce to hide, however beast would certainly search for humans. Its hatred to human kind was on its peak, and Aron couldn't let it run free.

It was few hundred meters behind him, beast's rage caused running through obstacles instead of avoiding them. Destroying everything on its way made decreased its speed and allowed Aron to keep distance between them.

"Aron! This way!" The white-haired boy heard voice of Rirak, and he immediately followed into its direction.

The number of trees was decreasing so alpha wolf started to gain his speed back. Aron on other hand was running at stable speed entire road.

Rirak was standing with a bronze sword unsheathed, Aron immediately spotted the abnormal thing. They prepared trap for beast, and it was giant pit fall. 

His role was to lure the beast into trap. The beast was in enraged state, so his job won't be hard.

'I will stay before trap until it pounce on me. I will enter the s.p.a.ce last second.' His perception was high enough to be able to wait until last second.

Roar! Wolf didn't care much about Rirak's existence and rushed at Aron. There were some red stains on its body from damage from destroyed trees and rocks. 

It pounced at him with open jaw.

Every second in this state was like ages, stress and terrifying existence made his senses even sharper. 

'Now!' The alpha was meter before him, Aron disappeared like he wasn't there in first place.

Bang! The confusion appeared in beast's eyes, however it was too late. It landed in trap and fell into pit with bronze spears mounted into ground.

Aron couldn't stay in s.p.a.ce, and he needed to use this opportunity to finish it off. His body appeared in same position with Transiency in his hand.

The wolf's body was pierced by multiple spears. Aron was surprised by its strong vitality, even with such grievous wounds it was struggling.

"Time to end this!" He jumped into pit and used momentum of fall to strengthen his attack. 

HOOWL! His glaive pierced through body of beast and its life ended. Aron landed between spears on part of wolf's body. 

'Close call.' His arm was aching like h.e.l.l, however it wasn't time for a break. There was Casper in terrible state and possible wolves to finish off.

[Plundered: Leaders.h.i.+p, Alpha's pride, Mighty Roar…]

Aron climbed out of the pit and Rirak approached him with anger on his face.

"KID! You are…f.u.c.kING INSANE!" His eyes showed some respect in courage of kid.

"FOCUS! Critical matters first! How is Casper?" Aron didn't want to meet fire in his house, after coming back to village. Suppressing will to fight was quite tiring.

"He is stable. There are multiple wounds on his body…I cleaned them and st.i.tched some of them to stabilize his body… I am not sure if he survives the night…" Casper wasn't young anymore and blood loss made him weaker.

'f.u.c.k! I need to rush to save this moron. If he became my servant…I could invest in some regeneration trait…' The stubbornness of Rose's father was too much sometimes. 

"I will go to take care of him. Can you go and check situation in the forest…Once it's safe, get some men to gather wolf's corpses…We need to hurry…there are smaller predators with huge appet.i.te…" They split and Aron rushed to village, while Rirak went to take care his a.s.signment.

Aron's arm was still bleeding slowly, however his priority was to save life of a stupid hunter. 

Rose was sitting on bench before their house with tears inside her eyes. Aron didn't have time to take care of a teenage girl with problems.

"IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT! YOU BROUGHT THOSE HUNTERS TO VILLAGE! WOLVES DIDN'T ATTACK US BEFORE! IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT!" She started to blame Aron for her father's condition. 

"Ohh? I am wrong? Wrong to try to improve quality of lives of those people? Wrong to save people from misery and death? You know what? I was really grateful for your help before…however I am tired of your bulls.h.i.+t right now! Your father is dying! Go inside and save him! I will f.u.c.king watch! COME ON! SHOW ME YOUR ABILITY!" Aron's mind was tired of suppressing his desire to fight, so he simply snapped at the unstable girl.

A temperature started to rise, and evil part of personality woke up.

"HOW DARE YOU! YOU STUPID HUMAN! TREAT HER LIKE THIS!" His harsh remarks tilted the second personality of her.

"How dare I? It's simple. You high and mighty fire elemental! Cannot save life of an ordinary human! Can you do anything outside of destroying things and running your mouth? No?... As I though." Aron decided to go all out and point out most painful truth. At worst case, he would hide inside of s.p.a.ce and train. 

"YOUUUUU!" Rose's evil personality got furious after hearing his words, still temperature lowered and real Rose took control.

"SHUT UP! YOU ONLY LIE TO ME! YOU ARE SO POWERFUL! BUT YOU CANNOT HELP MY FATHER!" Rose got angry at her second personality, and she was often tempted by its words. She always wanted to take control and insisted that all people are evil.

'f.u.c.k this...I need to enter house.' Aron stopped caring about little girl and entered house.
