The Blood King 62 Blood Energy Inscriptions

the man looked at Levi coldly. " in order to rebuild my arm." Levi replied coldly. " don't be foolish, boy. an arm can certainly be rebuilt by a martial artist, but you are not at the level where you can do that. furthermore, you only have a small amount of qi, and it feels off. you are probably also cultivating wrong" the man said, as he looked at levi up and down. ' qi? i don't have any qi in my body...did he mistake my blood energy for qi?' Levi silently thought. "..." he looked at the man silently. "....you will stay on the first floor." after a moment of silence, the man said. ' all of these people only think about their bodies when something happens, fools.' the man thought, as he looked at Levi's back.

levi walked around, picking up one book after the other. "..." he stopped and opened a book t.i.tled 'basic body structure'. he read through the book for a few hours, and although it wasn't very detailed, levi still learned things about his body that he never knew about. muscles, bones, veins and tendons, the book gave explanations on how they were a.s.sembled, as well as how they work. "..." green liquid poured from Levi's right hand, as he sent it towards the stump that was once his left hand. after the skin was desolved, blood poured out. instead of trying to rebuild his whole arm like last time, the blood was shaped like bones, at the length that his arm would be. the blood flowed continously although it was in the shape of bones, two small white mounds appearing on the stump.

after an hour and a half, the bone was complete. more blood poured out and covered the bone, before red strands appeared near the base of the stump. Levi also rebuilt the veins with the muscles. when the muscles were almost finished, he had to grow tendons, and soften the bone to connect the two. and lastly was the easiest part, growing skin. after the skin was finished, he looked at his hand. his palm looked weird, because it didn't have any lines. looking at the back of his hand, he realised that he forgot to grow fingernails. it took him 15 minutes to grow them. "..." he found that the arm was slightly hard to move, but thought nothing of it. 'but the problem is, how will the changes be made to this arm?' he thought about this for a while.

he then decided, since his bloodlines were restrained, he would slowly activate the bloodlines that would make the changes. "..." he breathed deeply, before activating the raven's bloodline. "...nngnnnnn" after activation, the raven's bloodline shot into his left arm. viens appeared on his face and arms, his eyes turned red, as he tried his hardest to restrain it. his fingers twisted weirdly as they seemed to be turning into the talons of a raven. "humph!"' you are MY bloodline, don't go overboard!" levi snorted coldly as he thought.

the fingernails on his left hand regained their black color, and he sent the raven bloodline back. next was the giant snake's bloodline. in order to be able to produce the snake venom from his hand, he had to make sure the changes were done again. this time it was a little easier. and lastly, was the silver ant's bloodline. although he thought that it would be the easiest, he found that the silver ant bloodline was the most troublesome. instead of just going into his arm, it spread all over his body, trying to change his entire body. by the time Levi was finished, he was slumped on the ground breathing heavily. getting up from the ground, his skin was frighteningly pale. he left the everything guild and went back to the old inn, falling asleep as soon as his body made contact with the bed.

when Levi woke, it was already evening, as the sun stained the clouds once again. he got up and sat cross-legged, as he practiced the water commandment. he then had a thought. 'what would happen....if i tried to use the water commandment with blood energy?' without a word, blood energy rose from his body. 1 minute, 2, 3...".....ack!" just three minutes in, and it felt like his entire body would break if he continued.

"....would i be able to make inscriptions with blood energy?" after sitting silently for a few minutes, he mumbled. he took a gold coin from the s.p.a.cial ring, since those were the only coins he had left. he started by trying to make the patterns, but although he constructed them easily, they collapsed right after. " then...i will use mental energy to keep them together..." he mumbled as he tried again. since the inscription patterns were crumbling, he decided to use mental energy to hold them together.

but as he found out not too long after, even when he used mental energy to keep the red patterns together, when they were implanted into the gold coin, without the mental energy to keep them together, they crumbled once again. " old gray said that inscriptions can be constructed with different types of energy beside qi, so why is it that the blood energy inscriptions keep collapsing?" levi kept pondering, but he couldn't find the reason.

he also had another thought, if he were able to make inscriptions with blood energy, would people other than himself be able to use them? " should i go and ask old gray about this?....no..." he mumbled. he then tried to make the inscription, while leaving mental energy imbedded in the inscription patterns themselves, but before the patterns could even reach the coin, they exploded. he continued to try different things over the course of a few hours, all ending in failure. ".....they keep breaking....even though i have tried everything....." levi mumbled. he sat on the edge of the bed, slouching over. "...patterns.....you have to construct the patterns with qi, before coating them in mental energy, in order to implant them into the vessel.....what is different with this..." he mumbled, as he lost himself in thought.

" construct....patterns....." he mumbled. " patterns.....construct.....structure!" he suddenly shouted. " inscriptions can be made from different kinds of energy, but the structure would be different than if they were being made with qi! is that why the blood energy inscriptions kept collapsing? because i made them like i would make qi inscriptions? but even if i know what the problem is, i still don't know how to fix it....let me give it a try..." he said, as he once again began forming patterns with blood energy.
