"What?" Ira saw Vivan looking at her. He had puckered his lips all disappointed. "If you have something to say, say it." 

"What do I get if I finish everything in the bowl?" Vivan gambled. He had to drink this soup he demanded compensation. Where was his reward?

"Okay" Her word came across as a surprise. She agreed so as to subdue him to drink the nutritious soup.

Vivan smiled put down the spoon in his hand and showed her the empty bowl. He puckered his lips and closed his eyes teasing her.

Ira walked to the excited Vivan's side, bowed and kissed the man's face, "Okay," She patted his head like a pet.

Ira stood up and was about to leave when Vivan's placed his hand on her waist, leaned on her and kissed her body. He planted kisses one after another in succession, she couldn't help getting buried in them.

"Cough... Dinner's ready." Sia came to call them to eat. She stood out of the door and giggled. 

Ira got up, Vivan held her hand. 

"Promise me to give such sweets. I will drink this every day." His black crystal eyes s.h.i.+nned in antic.i.p.ation.

He took her in his embrace and she hugged him back. She had to get the wheelchair and help him to get on it. 

Pus.h.i.+n him to the dinner table, they ate their meal. 

The whole family got on the dinner table. They were eating in peace when all of a sudden Ira said, "It's spicy...."

"Drink water," Ashay said. The shrimp curry was not spicy. In fact, he found it a little bland to his taste withh fewer spices for his sister and brother-in-law.

"No. We should not drink water while eating."

"Eat with more roti then."

"How can I taste the curry?" She defended and continued to eat.

The peace restored then again, "Sour." she chewed a dry chicken and her face wrinkled. She pulled out her tongue.

"You added lemon juice on it." Ashay pointed out.

She ate again, "Hot! Hot!"

Now Ashay lost his cool. He got up and took Ira's plate. "Don't eat. Mom cooked it with mom much effort."

"But it's very hot..." Her voice turned weak.

Vivan saw her appearance and pa.s.sed his plate full of fried chicken.

After a short while, an empty plate came in Ashay's sight.

Did she eat everything? Even the bones?

"I'm full. It was the tastiest fried chicken I ever had. Thank you, mom." She licked her lips and got up.
