A manly smell filled her senses. She was bought in a close hug as if tied tight to someone.
Reeya opened her eyes and tried to see the person. They didn't separate until few bikes moved across them.
All of a sudden, she was pushed to the other end of the road. They fell on top of each other.
In the full moon, her eyelashes shook. They unveiled clear eyes as she looked up to find Ashay.
Time seems to be still at this moment. It paused in those eyes. He was on her, his hands again covered both sides of her head, protecting it from any injury.
When he looked at Reeya, there was intense anger in those pair. Find authorized novels in Webnovel, faster updates, better experience,Please click for visiting.
Why? What was he doing here?
Many questions came before her, but before she could ask anything.
"You scared me to death." A sharp voice broke the string of her thoughts.
"Are you mad? Why didn't you move? Do you want to die? " The series of questions bombarded and woke her up. She clearly heard a hint of concern in that angry voice.
Reeya opened her mouth, but a word didn't stay on her lips.
"You... are you alright?" Ashay checked for injuries on her. He removed her black gloves.
"Yeah." He was shocked to find not a trace of fear in her eyes, there was only disappointment.
No one could say that this was a woman who just survived a life-threatening event. How could someone be so indifferent about it? One reason maybe they don't fear death, another reason they don't cherish their life enough.
She was surprised as well to find that the usual gentle Ashay was angry. When he looked at her, his face was full of rage.
As soon as he came to know that this girl had come to partic.i.p.ate in the race for money. He rushed his bike at this ca.n.a.l, ignoring the signals on the road. Without any due, he jumped in to find a red helmet.
The entire time his heart was getting more and more heavy, sinking into the bottomless abyss. At last, he found Reeya, but next second, he saw her bike cras.h.i.+ng and falling in the cliff. Like a broken doll, she was in the middle of the road.
His eyebrows wrinkled as he thought of her reaction. If the bike weren't his, would she had survived?
"Why didn't you move?" A person who was known for a clear mind in the panic situation was sitting stupidly in the middle of the road. Was she waiting to die?
"No..no." In a short time after she lost the bike, she thought about what would happen further. With no winning money, she couldn't arrange money for the operation. For a mini second, she decided to give up, didn't she? So focused on the compet.i.tion, she thought that she could sacrifice everything to get the first place.
He frowned, looking at the red bruises on her knees.
"Give me your bike?" she blurted. Yes, she can't give up! Now she had the bike she could win.
"Shut up__" A cold voice and a pointed finger from Ashay scared her. His fierce red eyes glared at her heavy enough to crush her. The atmosphere became tense.
Reeya had never seen the harsh side of the man. Then her eyes fell on his bruised shoulders and elbows. She moved, but the pain in her knee made her cry.
"Don't move." He clenched his fist. Why was this girl so stupid? From her college, he came to know she needed money for the surgery. Even if she couldn't ask him, she could ask his sister.
What he didn't know was this girl who looked so strong on the exterior was equally weak on the inside. Taking or even asking for help from someone was unthinkable for her. All her life, Reeya lived under someone else roof. A notion that nothing is unconditional, everything has to be paid back many times more, was formed in her mind since childhood.
For meal two times a day, she had to toil the whole day. For a piece of cake, she had to clean the entire house. For pocket money, she had to hear harsh words. Living under someone's roof, she always bowed her head. Once she left this life, she promised never going back in it, never borrowing money from anyone, never bowing her head before anyone.
"Can you stand up" After a few seconds, Ashay got up and said stretching out his hands. AS soon as she placed her palms into his, she snorted. Her palm was badly bruised. The black glove couldn't protect it.
