By the time he returned to the villa, Tang Mo’er had fallen asleep. As she lay on her side, the faint yellow rays from the sun fell on her tiny face. Deep in her midst of slumber, her cheeks were a faint pink and her expression was soft and gentle.

The entire room was filled with her maidenly body scent. Gu Mohan stepped lightly after he entered the room, and his cold heart melted when he looked at her angelic countenance. How was it that this girl could fill up his heart so completely?

Entering the bathroom, he removed his bloodstained s.h.i.+rt and turned on the taps, letting the water wash over his entire body.

His handsome face was pale after the events of the night. Even with the hot steam, it was not able to purge the possible infection and the wound on his left chest throbbed, somewhat numb after being in the dirty pond water for such a long time.

But he could finally experience pain alongside her.

When he came out of the shower, he was wearing a black silk bathrobe. He lifted the blanket up and got into bed, moving away the hair around her neck with his slender fingers and hooking the necklace holding the One and Only ring around her beautiful neck.

As if feeling the presence of someone nearby, Tang Mo’er was awakened and slowly opened her eyes. Someone was hugging her from behind and she didn’t need to guess who it was.

The man had a clean and distinct scent after his shower, it was so familiar to her. Who else could it be other than Gu Mohan?

She lowered her eyes and looked at the cold thing around her neck, blinking intensely in shock. It was the diamond ring he had given her!

The ring that she had thrown into the pond!

Somehow, he had managed to find it!

When he had slammed the door and left just now, was it to find the ring in the heavy rain?

Tang Mo’er felt her heart aching, and unwittingly, she felt the telltale signs of hot tears threatening to come out from behind her reddened eyes.

But he held her tightly with his strong arms. “You still have enough energy to move around? How about we have another round?”

After hearing his threat, Tang Mo’er’s delicate body froze in an instant.

Gu Mohan pushed her down and kissed her cheeks tenderly, lifting her skirt with his rough fingers. “Are you st.i.tched up properly now?”

She had about ten st.i.tches on her wrist injury and he would have seen it. Tang Mo’er knew that he was asking about her injury down there.

How dare he ask her that!

Whose fault was it in the first place!

Recalling his actions, Tang Mo’er opened her mouth and bit his hand that was placed right on her chest.

Gu Mohan was in pain but he smirked at her expression, finding it incredibly endearing. “You’re still angry, hm?”

Gu Mohan buried his head in her silky hair, his deep voice incredibly gentle yet tired. “Baby, I’m a little exhausted, let me have some rest, hm?”

He held her gentle body in his arms and buried himself in the pleasant scent of her hair. Like that, he closed his eyes and soon enough, he fell asleep.

Tang Mo’er heard the sound of his deep breathing. How dare he just fall asleep like that! She hadn’t even released her anger yet!

One of his hands was still on her pants, although he didn’t seem to have any s.e.xual intention. All she felt was pure warmth and protection over her, but she still felt humiliated.

Tang Mo’er bit down on her lower lip, wanting to push him away.

She might have accidentally touched his wound, he let out a groan as he slept and it was incredibly s.e.xy and charming. Pulling her closer, he murmured, “Mo’er, be good, don’t leave. Just let me hug you and sleep for awhile.”
