Tang Mo’er kept the digital voice recorder, looking at Lin Xuanyin coldly. “You think that I’m stupid when you’re the unintelligent one? Why would I try to get Luo Xiaomei to appear at the hotel? I’m merely doing it to trigger her, so that she would phone the real culprit.”

Tang Mo’er then gazed at the bodyguards. “Tie her up!”

“Understood.”

The bodyguards went forward with the ropes in their hands, tying Lin Xuanyin up.

“Tang Mo’er, let go of me right away! How dare you tie me up, I’m Mrs Lu! When your father comes home, he will definitely save me!” Lin Xuanyin screamed.

The helpers in the villa were all frantic and ran forward to save Lin Xuanyin in a frenzy. “Madam! Elder Miss, you’d better let go of Madam. If Sir learns of this, he will be furious!”

Pandemonium broke out and with a bang, Tang Mo’er lifted her hand and smashed the vase that was originally on the coffee table onto the ground.

It was Lin Xuanyin’s vase, but now it was smashed into shards.

The helpers were astounded by Tang Mo’er, they all lifted their eyes and stared at her.

Tang Mo’er’s scanned every one of their faces with her l.u.s.trous eyes. She smirked and warned them loftily, “Why are you afraid of my father when I’m here? Or is it because you only have regard for Madam and not me, the Elder Miss?!”

That was the first time the servants had witnessed such behavior from Tang Mo’er. They were all terrified and didn’t dare to lift their heads.

The bodyguard had already tied Lin Xuanyin up and brought her beside the cold pool.

Lin Xuanyin’s feet were at the edge of the pool, she was going to fall into the pool if she were to miss a step. She lowered her eyes, looking at the cold water and shuddered.

She had congenital heart failure and her condition would never allow her near the cold waters. Her body wouldn’t be able to take it.

But her hands were tied up and if she were to be pushed into the pool, she was bound to drown.

Lin Xuanyin shook her head endlessly while shouting, “Tang Mo’er, how dare you! If you cause my death, your father will never let you off!”

Tang Mo’er stepped outside, the lights shone on her beautiful face. She gave Lin Xuanyin a condescending smirk. “Let me give it a go then, to what extent will Lu Jinwen go in order to protect you!”

Tang Mo’er signaled the bodyguards and they started to move, preparing to push Lin Xuanyin into the pool.

“Ah!” Lin Xuanyin shrieked.

But there were two rays of light on the lawn. A luxury car had driven over and stopped on the lawn.

Butler Ye opened the back door and Lu Jinwen alighted from the car.

Lu Jinwen was clad in a black overcoat and was tall and masculine. But his aura was even more dark and fierce than usual.

He walked over.

He gazed at Tang Mo’er for a moment before turning his attention towards Lin Xuanyin. “What’s the matter now?”

He sounded displeased as he questioned her.

Lin Xuanyin’s face lit up with glee when she saw Lu Jinwen. “Jinwen, save me! Mo’er wants to push me inside the cold water! I’ll die, I’ll really die if she does it!”

Lu Jinwen didn’t have any reaction after listening to her words but his face darkened.

Ever since Jun Mosheng left, he couldn’t hide his menacing aura.

“Mo’er, tell me what happened,” he asked Tang Mo’er.

Tang Mo’er waved the digital voice recorder in her hands around. “Mr Lu, your wife bribed the nurses at the hospital and ordered for the abortion pills to be fed to me. She made me lose my baby. Why shouldn’t she pay the price of her deeds?”

He gave it some thought and figured everything out. He strode over and stopped beside Lin Xuanyin. “Xuanyin, didn’t I ask you to lie low? Why did you choose to do that, hm?”

He was smiling, but it was a spurious one. It gave Lin Xuanyin gooseb.u.mps, she couldn’t help but feel terrified of him. Ever since he learned of Lin Xuanji’s pa.s.sing, he didn’t do anything, but at the same time, he had changed.

If possible, he had become even more cold and unfeeling.

Lin Xuanyin quickly denied, “Jinwen, I didn’t, you must believe me. I really didn’t… ah!”

Lin Xuanyin was pushed into the cold water.

It wasn’t the work of the bodyguards but it was Lu Jinwen instead. He was the one who stretched his arm out to push her into the pool.

Lin Xuanyin fell into the pool, it was the winter season and the water was icy cold. Her hands were tied up and she tried to keep herself afloat but she sunk downwards again. She swallowed a few mouthfuls of water in the pool and it felt so bad, she felt as though she was really going to die if it were to continue.

“Ah, Jinwen… save… me…”

Lu Jinwen stood tall beside the pool, he knelt on one knee and looked at Lin Xuanyin coldly while she struggled in the pool. He removed his black leather gloves and pa.s.sed it to Butler Ye, speaking with a nonchalant tone, “Xuanyin, you should have cherished the opportunity and spoke the truth when I was asking you nicely. Look, you can’t even talk now.”

Lin Xuanyin emerged from the surface of the water and she sunk back in again. She shook her head in agony. “Jinwen, I… I was wrong…”

Lu Jinwen remained composed. “Oh? What did you do wrong?”

“I… I… ordered someone to do it…” Lin Xuanyin finally confessed.

Lu Jinwen slowly stood up and two bodyguards hired by the Lu family dived into the pool, pulling Lin Xuanyin up.

Lin Xuanyin looked as if she was on her last breath. She couldn’t stop spitting out water from her mouth as she pressed on her chest, her heart was hurting again.

Lu Jinwen looked at Butler Ye, devoid of any emotion. “Find a doctor to treat her, make sure she doesn’t die.”

“Roger.”

Lin Xuanyin was carried inside the villa.

Lu Jinwen turned around, looking at Tang Mo’er. “Mo’er, I’ve already taught Xuanyin a lesson on your behalf. Let this matter go, Xuanyin must stay alive, hm?”

Tang Mo’er remained straight-faced, she tucked her hair behind her ears. “Mr Lu, isn’t today’s scene a little familiar? Don’t you get a sense of déjà vu?”

Lu Jinwen’s pupils dilated. He was reminded of his second child.

“Lin Xuanyin has caused the death of two lives. My mother’s child and my child. But she’s still alive, living the high life as Mrs Lu, and as for us…” Tang Mo’er then lifted her hands and clapped her hands together as she curled her lips into a contemptuous sneer “Mr Lu, you genuinely do love Lin Xuanyin.”
