“Sure.” Fu Jingtong nodded. “s.h.i.+’s.h.i.+, as long as you are obedient, of course I will let you see your Mom.”

Fu Jingtong was also calling her s.h.i.+’s.h.i.+.

Lin s.h.i.+yu coldly curved her red lips. This was the first time that she felt the name, s.h.i.+’s.h.i.+, was very nauseating.

Lin s.h.i.+yu raised her pretty eyes and looked at Fu Jingtong. Fu Jingtong was cutting his steak sophisticatedly and he curved his thin lips. “Answer.”

It was a simple word but it was threatening and menacing.

Lin s.h.i.+yu looked at him for a few seconds before tapping on her cell phone to pick up the call. “h.e.l.lo.”

“s.h.i.+’s.h.i.+…” An extremely hoa.r.s.e voice which sounded weak came through the phone. “Where are you now? I didn’t see you when I opened my eyes.”

Fu Qinglun was still in the hospital. He was wearing a set of blue and white hospital clothes. His long fingers were gripping the cell phone. He had sustained a stab wound in his heart which landed him in a coma for two days, and he had just opened his eyes.

His throat was severely dry and his dark red lips were chapped from the dryness. The wispy fringe on his forehead covered his pleasant, but sickly white eyes. He was very weak and frail.

His long fingers gripped the cell phone tightly. His throat bobbed and he did not hear her voice. He called her again. “s.h.i.+’s.h.i.+…”

“Elder brother.” At this moment, Fu Jingtong’s voice was heard. “Today is s.h.i.+’s.h.i.+’s birthday. I’m having a candlelit dinner with s.h.i.+’s.h.i.+ now. Do you want to join?”

Fu Qinglun’s black eyes narrowed. A few seconds later, he said, “You wait there, I will come now.”

After hanging up the phone, Fu Qinglun lifted the blanket. The stab wound at his heart had not healed and he placed his large palm over it.

He knitted his good-looking brows. His handsome face was pale.

Soon later, he walked out of the ward.

The doctor at the corridor happened to see Fu Qinglun. “Young Master Fu, where are you going? You can’t go out now. You have just woken up.”

Fu Qinglun’s handsome body quickly disappeared from his vision.

Fu Qinglun arrived at the western restaurant. He wanted to enter but two waiters stopped him. “Our apologies, Young Master Fu. Miss Lin is celebrating her birthday today, and Young Master Jingtong has reserved the entire place to have a candlelit dinner with Miss Lin. You can’t go in now.”

Fu Qinglun had not even changed out of hospital clothes and had only draped a black cashmere coat over himself. His handsome face was menacing and frosty. “Scram.”

He wanted to barge in.

The two waiters exchanged glances and delivered a punch to Fu Qinglun’s wound.

Fu Qinglun retreated a couple of steps. He was in so much pain that he let out cold beads of perspiration.

The two waiters stood at the platform belittling Fu Qinglun. “Young Master Fu, I addressed you Young Master Fu and you dared to answer me. Is your surname still Fu? Fu Qinglun, you have already been chased out of the Fu Family. You are worthless now!”

“The Fu Family and Fu Corporation belong to Young Master Jingtong now. Where do you stand? Look, Young Master Fu Jingtong and Miss Lin are having their candlelit dinner. You can’t go in…”

The two waiters were insulting and demeaning him as though he was worse than trash on the ground.

Fu Qinglun did not have any change in his expression. His handsome face was as white as a sheet of paper, though he glared at the two waiters in a cold and menacing manner.

This look rendered the two waiters speechless. The influential and prestigious Young Master Fu still exuded an impressive aura which was sufficient to make one fearful, even if he had nothing to his name anymore.

Fu Qinglun glanced sideways at the full-length window. He could see Lin s.h.i.+yu wearing a long dress and having a candlelit dinner through the full-length window, under the dazzling lights.

He clenched his fists and his good-looking eyes were bloodshot with murderous rage.

In the restaurant, Lin s.h.i.+yu glanced at Fu Qinglun through the full-length window. The man was wearing the blue and white hospital clothes beneath his coat. She had not seen him for two days and he had lost some weight, but he still looked like a sophisticated and refined aristocrat, albeit a little down and out.

He must had come here straight from the hospital.

Now his cold eyes were fixated on Fu Jingtong and her, and he looked like he wanted to murder both of them.

Lin s.h.i.+yu raised her pretty eyes and looked at Fu Jingtong who was sitting opposite him. “Are you happy shaming Fu Qinglun like this?”

Fu Jingtong raised his wine gla.s.s and took an elegant sip. “Not too bad.”

At this moment, there was the sound of gla.s.s breaking. Lin s.h.i.+yu looked up to see Fu Qinglun holding a metal rod in his hand and smas.h.i.+ng the full-length window.

Lin s.h.i.+yu startled and she stood up. Was he insane?

Fu Qinglun had smashed a large hole in the full-length window. He strode over frostily and even his lower jaw was tightened.

Fu Jingtong was still sitting on the chair. Fu Qinglun walked over and extended a leg to kick the table. “Why are you still eating? d.a.m.n it, stop eating!”

Fu Jingtong shrugged his shoulders and curved his lips into a smile.

Fu Qinglun went over to Lin s.h.i.+yu and grasped her delicate hand. “s.h.i.+’s.h.i.+, let’s go.”

Lin s.h.i.+yu lowered her luscious lashes and looked at his large hand. He had cut the back of his hand while smas.h.i.+ng the full-length window just now.

Blood was trickling from his hand.

Lin s.h.i.+yu did not budge. She retracted her little hand.

Fu Qinglun stopped in his tracks. He looked at Lin s.h.i.+yu and his voice was sour. “s.h.i.+’s.h.i.+, happy birthday.”

At this moment, Fu Jingtong stood up. “s.h.i.+’s.h.i.+, we have to go, if not we will miss the movie.”

Fu Jingtong extended his hand over to Lin s.h.i.+yu.

Lin s.h.i.+yu glanced at Fu Jingtong and gave him her hand.

Fu Jingtong held her hand and left.

Fu Qinglun stood wretchedly on the spot. He was just like a clown who had committed all these acts but no one paid any heed to him.

s.h.i.+’s.h.i.+ still left with Fu Jingtong in the end.

A few seconds later, he ran ahead. Lin s.h.i.+yu had already gotten into Fu Jingtong’s luxury car, and the car sped away.

“s.h.i.+’s.h.i.+, wait for me!” Fu Qinglun used all his might to chase after the car.

In the luxury car, Fu Jingtong glanced at Fu Qinglun, who was chasing behind, through the rear view mirror. He intentionally reduced the speed of his car, so that Fu Qinglun could continue to chase after the car but not catch up with it.

“Young Master Jingtong, can you drive faster?” Lin s.h.i.+yu asked.
