Chapter 14: The Journey Begins

Okay, going to start and do my staple. The cheat sheet on the top, it will eventually grow to include new characters and appearances.

Fari von D'azell . Previously Nanjou Yukiho, nicknamed Yuki by Kami. 

Is currently 10 years of age. Ruby red long wavy hair and striking eyes not fitting her age.

Kami-sama, or also known as Kamille. Is a girl that looks 12 but is a G.o.d. Has silver hair and red eyes.

Also Fari always uses, 私 aka female p.r.o.noun watas.h.i.+.

Father is Gilbert Von D'azell. Master warrior.

Papa recover completely in a week.

There were plenty of excellent doctors healing my Papa. Thanks to them, recovery was quicker than expected.

During that time I had plenty of time to talk with my Papa.

So Hunter Academy or to be precise "St Valeria's(ヴェルベリア) Royal Hunter Academy". There I'll take the entrance exam and try to get in.

I'm going there for the pursuit of knowledge. So I must not rely on the power of my house.

So from the moment I leave the mansion for school. I am merely "Fari" and not a D'azell daughter.

And I will go to the capital on foot by myself and take the entrance exam. Simply as "Fari"

So in other words, I'm going alone as a way of training myself.

It may seem harsh, but it's not unusual.

Since the ancient times, the D'azell has always done something like this for their children.

In fact my 16 year old sister is also hiding her D'azell status, and has already pa.s.sed the entrance exam for the St Valeria's Royal Hunter Academy.

I'm also doing the same thing my sister did before.

. . . However for a 10 year old to do it is a little unusual.

However I am the second daughter of the D'azell family. I do have the minimum knowledge needed to survive, and I have some confidence in my swordsmans.h.i.+p.

In addition to that, it seems that even my magic talent is excellent. 

Plus, with the memories of my previous life being restored. My sudden increase in intellect has made heads turn.

So even though I am alone, I can head to the capital immediately.

So with that said. 

Currently I have started my 5-day walk to the capital.

". . Muu."

I couldn't help but raise a troubled cry.

Because I am not alone, there is one person behind me.

It's the girl with the silver hair and red eyes. Who is also a G.o.d.

And for some reason, she just has an embarra.s.sed troubled expression and is simply following me from behind.

It's been about half a day since I left the mansion. And ever since, She appears like she wants to say something.

. . . .It's been getting really awkward recently. 

I know a few days ago I became emotional and said I blamed Kami-sama.

But that feeling has changed.

In the first place, When i got that mystical energy, I decided to use it towards my Papa with all my strength.

However, I thought Papa would be fine. But still, I decided to take that risk.

So there is nothing to be angry at her for. It was my fault.

However Kami-sama was hiding various thing about my reincarnation. And everything I wished from reincarnation didn't happen. Also her own selfish reason for reincarnating me. So I got angry just because I was emotional from everything that was happening that day. 

. . . .Well, I'm still angry about her hiding things about my reincarnation.

But the Papa accident was my fault.

So, it was my mistake to blame Kami-sama for that.

. . .Let's just get along.

I stopped walking.

Kami-sama was completely taken off guard. She quickly stopped as well and took a deep breath.

I turned around to face Kami-sama and said.

". . .I'm sorry. Kami-sama."

And I lowered my head towards her.

"Eh, W-what!? What happened Yuki?. . .Why are you apologizing, Yuki didn't do anything wrong?"

"Well, I've been thinking. And I think I am actually responsible for Papa. I was just over emotional about hurting him, so I blamed Kami-sama for it. That was my mistake."

"It's not that! Yuki didn't know that her powers were that strong. If I explained that, the accident would have never happened. . .You wouldn't have been sent out your house alone, to go the hunter academy. You could've been living a peaceful n.o.ble life with you Papa right now. . ."

Kami-sama explained her thought process.

I see, I guess that way of thinking is also possible.

But that's not what I'm talking about.

Certainly she reincarnated me for a selfish reason, and perhaps if she didn't keep that important thing a secret, I might have not hurt my precious Papa. 

But what I did, was my fault.

I closed in on Kami-sama.

Then placed my hands on her cheeks.

"Myuu!?"

"Okay, Kami-sama. I am angry that it was kept a secret, but I'm not angry about what happened to Papa. I'm not angry about how I was reincarnated as well. I have a family now, my own life, and I cherish it all. So I don't want that to bother Kami-sama."

"But, the."

"Listen to me! Don't worry about it!"

"Hyaa!."

I emphasized the last part.

"If you want to have penance so much, then reflect by promising me. Promise to no longer keep secrets from me. If you promise me that, I'll forgive you for everything."

After I said that, I released my hands from her cheeks.

I was waiting for her answer.

". . .I understand, I'll make sure there is as little secrets as possible."

"As possible~~!?"

I then held her cheeks with both hands again.

"Rubbing attack!"

"Hyyaafeefee~~~!"

I gripped both of Kami-sama's cheeks, and pulled them around. I teased her until I was satisfied, then let go of her cheeks.

She looked at me with an embarra.s.sed face.

"Um, Yuki. You do know I'm a G.o.d, right? There are a lot of things that I can't say. I do have constraints."

"Hmm, is that the reason you were so troubled?"

"Yeah. It's impossible for me to tell you everything, but I will not keep as many secrets as possible from Yuki. If it's good for Yuki then I'll let her know, I won't lie. That's my promise."

"Hmm, I guess for the time being, it kinda meets my requirement?"

I tilted my head as I thought about it.

". . .Well, it's fine. Let's just go and not worry about the minor details."

With this I can probably move on with my anger. And it may also help lighten her guilt.

Everything is Okay. 

"Well then Kami-sama. I'm looking forward to working with you."

I offered my right hand to Kami-sama.

"Yeah. Thank you Yuki-♪"

Then she took shook my hand.

With that, we have made up.

Now we can get going to the hunter's academy without this awkward air.

Chapter 15: Fari Learning About Herself.

After we made up. Kami-sama and I walked towards the capital while holding hands.

Thanks to my trained body, the journey so far wasn't that bad.

Kami-sama is also a G.o.d so she doesn't feel tired. 

We ended up walking until it reached sunset.

I ask Kami-sama a lot of questions while we walked.

"Kami-sama. Can you tell me more about my magical abilities?"

"More about it?"

"I know that I can apparently use all attributes and non-attribute magic, but what does that really mean?"

"I see. That's simple then. Yuki is by far the best mage in the world now. Even now, you may be able to handle the top mages in the country. Your magic resistance is really high in all magic, so that just cuts most damage off of any spell attack."

"I see. . .So it's only magic. If it's a physical type of attack I'll feel it."

"No, it's physical as well."

"I guess you don't know because you haven't studied it yet. Magical attributes aren't simply just an element."

She then went through and explained all about the attributes.

To summarize.

Fire attribute: It emits flames. Color of the flame = heat of it.

Water attribute: Manipulates water among other things. You can create it freely.

Earth attribute: Can manipulate earth. You can freely create it. Also metal.

Wind attribute: You can control the air. Or more accurately, you can control the momentum and speed of things. So physical attacks can be stopped or mitigated just by wind.

Electric attribute: You can manipulate lightning. Or more accurately, charged particles.

Light attribute: You can manipulate light. Or more precisely, control electrically charged particles. Along with Photons, and such.

Darkness attribute: Is gravity among other things. It's really powerful, but incredibly difficult to use.

Life attribute: Manipulation of vitality. It can heal and also can attack with nature.

Then there is combining attributes: Like using fire and water together making steam. Or making Ice. Water and earth can be poison. And so on.

The important one was the wind attribute.

Physical attacks are, in other words, damaging based on their force of impact. If you can control their momentum and speed, it can mitigated all of it's impact.

So in other words, only unique energy or substance attacks can hurt me. As long as I use the wind magic correctly.

So in other words. Wind just = force and momentum. So that = physical damage. So Wind resistance = physical attack resistance?

"- – -So because I have a high wind resistance. I can reduce the damage even if I was attacked with a sword."

"That's right. Or perhaps, you may just not get hurt."

"What if an adult man swings with his sword at me with all his might?"

"I wonder if it would even reach.~?"

That's terrible.

I'm almost unbeatable.

"But if I'm so strong, I will stand out in school. . .I honestly would just like it to be peaceful."

"Is that so?. . .Alright. If that's the case I'll just "seal" it."

"Seal it?"

"Yes. I'll just place that spell on Yuki. Or to explain it more. It's a mechanism that will limit your powers, and it will only be released with proper conditioning ."

I don't really understand what she is saying.

"uh.  Let's just say if Yuki really tries her hardest and gain experience, that would be conditioning herself, you will then be able to use the power I gave to you. So for convenience sake I said it was a seal, but in reality. It's a little different."

"Hmm, well I don't really understand. . .Does it being called seal really matter?"

"Well, no, not really."

Then I don't think anything has really been explained.

". . .So you are going to limit my power? Is that the gist?"

"Yes, well to be precise. I would like to rewrite Yuki's body condition a bit, and then allow you to break through that limit when Yuki really tries and wants to."

"Isn't it a bit scary to rewrite my body."

"No. It will be fine. Who do you think wrote your body in the first place? Is a sense, I'm like Yuki's actual Mama."

". . .Well, that's fine then. For now it would be very helpful if you could that."

"So, is it okay for me to change your body then?"

"Yes, please do."

"Okay, done."

"That fast!?"

"Well, you know I'm a G.o.d, right? That's barely anything for me."

And with that, my powers were tempered with. 

So she later explained in more depth about the 2 phases of power that was sealed.

One is the "skilled warrior level" , then releasing even more of the sealed power is the "genius warrior level." (　最大封印で『そこらの熟練戦士レベル』、一つ目の封印を解除すると『そこらの天才戦士レベル』になるそうです。)(TN:hopefully it's close enough.)

Also it's mainly about sealing my attack abilities.

For resistance, The damage mitigation from it has been adjusted a little. I will also properly receive damage from physical attacks.

. . . .Nevertheless, it is still comparable to armor.

Also in the case of emergency, if the pressure on the seal is too much. My potential will come out and it will receive the damage to protect me.

I would hate to die in this dangerous world. So I didn't complain about that last feature.

Sorry about the delay. I was very busy these past few days. Anyways, I did say I was going to release a big one. And here it is. I could've maybe tacked on the next chapter, but it's been awhile since I released a chapter, so I'll just release this. Anyways, I hope I got the whole limitation stuff correct. Translating that was a bit confusing for me, but hopefully it's fine. 

I'm actually happy that there is a limitation added to her power. I'm not a huge fan, of just blow up everything always OP characters. So it's a nice addition.

Next chapter in like 2-4 days. Shouldn't be that long. Then depending on how I feel, I might work on a “when I was chapter.”
