Who Moved My Mountain Chapter 23.2: Old Father      

"Zhang Chong Ming, when we arrive at the office, tidy up and put  in order the room next to my office."

Zhang Chong Ming paused then quickly reacted. He excitedly asked: "Director, is it going to be Miss Yun's office?"

His heart couldn't help lamenting, this move of the director was truly good. With the offices so near to each other, in a normal situation,  they would constantly meet bot at morning and night. Then wouldn't the matter of winning Miss Yun over be accomplished sooner? After all, in the entire company, the director was the most handsome man. Unless Miss Yun had eye problems, was it possible for her to look at other people?

Lu He Nian faintly glanced at him and thought that Zhang Chong Ming must have thought he had said something wrong. So he continued: "You arrange it, the kind of things that females like, you do it like that." 

"OK!" Zhang Chong Ming responded cheerfully. After speaking a few more words, he saw that Lu He Nian had no other instructions so he took out his mobile phone and opened WeChat. 

Zhang Chong Ming: Important notice, important notice. The director wanted the small room next to his office to be remodelled. Put in effort to make it warm and cozy, adorable and charming, the whole place should combine to become a leisurely working environment. 

——What's the matter? Doesn't the director have his own customized lounge already?

——You on top, have you become dumb? The director wants the lounge to be adorable and charming. Is the eldest miss going to come work at the company?

——The eldest miss already has her hands full with her own company, is coming here to work as well something so easy for her?

Zhang Chong Ming: Lao w.a.n.g1 is still smarter ah. I'll tell the truth, unexpectedly, the director himself invited the young lady to work.

 ——He didn't come to work, don't tell me…….

 ——In the employee handbook, it is explicitly stipulated that there must not be any romantic involvement in the office ah!

 ——The director is not an employee ah.

——Zhang Chong Ming, from your observation, what does the young lady like? Then we will arrange accordingly.

Zhang Chong Ming recalled Yun Rong's eating appearance at the cake shop: Other things are secondary, preparing a few things to eat is of utmost importance. 

 ——How about ithis Later we'll go to the supermarket and buy a few things. If you want to eat snacks, you need a fridge. How is it possible to have drinks and ice-creams without a fridge?

 ——Right, right, right, a fridge is the most important. I heard females don't just put food in the fidge.

 ——Then what else do they put inside? (coming from an ignorant single dog)2

Zhang Chong Ming proudly typed: I know this, they put skincare and beauty products ah! (look down emoticon )

Secretary Zhong: Woah! It's great to have a girlfriend ah!

Lu Hua Nian brought the herb gra.s.s given by Yun Rong home and put it in the kitchen. Only when evening arrived and the housekeeper asked her about it did she remember.

The gra.s.s resembled the plants downstairs that were conveniently being plucked from the garden as they came into the house. So the housekeeper wasn't sure and brought it to ask the mistress, "Madam, are you going to plant this gra.s.s? Do you need me to put it in a flower pot? If it is put downstairs on the soil, I'm afraid it will  easily die." 

Lu Hua Nian took the herb gra.s.s from the housekeeper's hand and observed it. After leaving it out for half a day, and it was such a hot day at that, it was reasonable to say that it should have wilted. Also, because the whole house was air-conditioned, the plant should have dried up and lost its moisture already. However, this gra.s.s's color was still bright green. The leaf was strong and straight, it felt like, if someone were to break the leaf in two, the juice would come out right away. 

Not just looking full of vitality, if you brought it near, there seemed to be a faint sweet scent coming out of it, making the person smelling it feel carefree and relaxed. To maintain her figure, Lu Hua Nian didn't eat any meal in the evening. However, after smelling the herb's fragrance, she felt her mouth watering and had a bit of an appet.i.te.

She recalled that Yun Rong said it was okay to eat it as it was. Then there should be no problem in eating it as a salad. Lu Hua Nian handed the herb gra.s.s to the housekeeper and told her: "Just make a salad with it. I want to eat it." 

"Make it into salad? Can this be eaten?" The housekeeper looked incredibly at the herb gra.s.s on her hand. But even if she looked and looked until it flowered, she still couldn't make out the speciest of this plant. Looking at it, it resembled garlic chive, yet compared to garlic chives, it was taller and thinner. She asked with uncertainty: "Madam really wants me to make salad?"

Lu Hua Nian just nodded her head when an elegant male voice came through disapprovingly from upstairs: "Hua Nian, w.a.n.g jie3 cannot recognize this thing. I think it's better for you not to be careless and eat it indiscriminately."

Gu Qin and Lu Hua Nian had been married for so many years, he also knew his wife loved to keep her beautiful appearance. Which woman didn't love to stay beautiful? In this kind of household,  no matter how much money they had spent to maintain their looks, it still wasn't enough. It wasn't just to keep oneself beautiful, it was also to keep the family's face. However, looking at the gra.s.s on the housekeeper's hand, he still couldn't help helplessly kneading his forehead. 

The housekeeper, w.a.n.g jie's specialty was food engineering. Basically, she knew almost all kinds of ingredients. Now that she couldn't recognize this stuff, he didn't dare let Lu Hua Nian eat it. 

"What eat discriminately ah, this is Chinese herbal medicine!" Lu Hua Nian wasn't happy after hearing what Gu Qin said. At the moment, she was very convinced with Yun Rong. That wild mountain ginseng, Master Zhang said it was good stuff. Yun Rong said she was going to give and she really gave it. This indicated that the herbal medicine from her hands should be pretty good. 

After Lu Hua Nian was done speaking, she turned to the housekeeper and said: "w.a.n.g jie, just go and cut it, it's fine."

The mistress had said so, the housekeeper could only nod her head and go to the kitchen to prepare. Afraid that it wouldn't be good to eat, she added some cherry tomatoes, slices of cuc.u.mbers and lettuce, and then mixed them well with olive oil before bringing it out. 

Lu Hua Nian held the bowl with both hands and sat cross-legged on the sofa. She hesitated just before eating the first bite. Actually, it wasn't because she didn't believe Yun Rong. It was simply because those Chinese herbal medicines were all bitter, if it didn't taste good and she threw them up, then wouldn't it be a waste?

Gu Qin sat at her side and saw Lu Hua Nian hesitating. He laughed and teased her: "Why? You don't dare to eat it now? Hua Nian comrade, only after you begin you know to feel fear?"

Hehe poor secretaries, you're not the only ones surprised by that… many years ago when I was still a young and cute girl I once visited my cousin and when I saw one of the fridges (they had a second fridge, not the one in the kitchen) with the shelves filled with nail polish and other stuff I was like wtf is this why all these in the fridge? do people really do this things? the answer is yes they do…

I have an exam on Monday so depending on how my studying goes and when Lime can give me the tled chapter I might not be able to edit it for Monday, in that case release would be on Wednesday same hour as usual.

1: Old w.a.n.g: seems to refer to one of the secretaries. At this point, there was no mention of the names of the other secretaries, except Secretary Zhang and Zhong.

2: Single dog is Chinese slang for people who are sigle, pretty commonly used. Another related frequent slang is ‘dog food', which refer to PDA, which the single dogs are forced to watch (e.g. I've just been fed a spoonful of dog food) .

3: w.a.n.g jie: This is the housekeeper not his sister, sometimes when calling the housekeeper that is not that much older, jie or elder sister is used as a form of respect to the elders..
