The measures these people take to protect somebody like her. "Tell me something Allen, does this mean I can speak with Mother now?" Even though she was a member of the royal family, even she had to be granted an audience to see her own Mother. It was the same for the King - but her father always came to see her.

"Lyn...that's…" She saw his face break out into panic, and she immediately understood.

"Sorry, forget it," Lyn mumbled.

Even though she told Allen that she would give him a response later regarding this matter, just now she completely gave it away. She walked up to the sphere in the center, "Even if it's a tool for destruction, it's quite pretty, isn't it?" Lyn decided to change the topic swiftly.

"Is it? I have not looked at it closely."

Lyn chuckled, "I didn't think you would. Here, take a look now," she paused. Would touching one of the spheres in the development stage be peculiar? Just as she thought this, Allen reached over and grabbed one.

It was a blue sphere - and yet if one looked closely, they would be able to see the several different colors. But as pretty as this sphere was, another one caught her attention. It was right at the bottom, a small brown sphere. 'Ah, it's the same shade of brown as Kazuya's eyes.' Lyn looked at it curiously. How mysterious, it's hidden right at the very bottom and yet for her it stood out the most.

Allen reached out for it and pa.s.sed it to her, "Thank you," Lyn thanked him as she held it in her hands.

"That one hasn't been developed properly yet. Anybody could use it, would you like to keep it?"

Lyn's eyes lit up, "Can I?"

"Yes," Allen s.h.i.+fted, uncomfortably, "Can I ask you something, Lyn?"

"What is it?"

"Why do you always look so sad?"

Ah, he noticed. Allen looked away, "Forgive me, that was too personal."

Lyn shook her head, "No, I was a bit surprised. You see Allen how to put it? There was a time when I didn't understand love or emotions for that matter. I wanted people to hear my voice so badly. I'm here, I'm alive - but I didn't think about other peoples emotions. I didn't think about how others felt. But, after I met Kazuya, I felt that something had changed. I understood what I was missing. Love is about treasuring the other person; love is about trusting, connecting. Giving them strength."

Allen blinked surprised, "That's quite the declaration." He probably didn't expect it from her, and neither did she, for awhile she didn't say a word. But when she did, she walked over to the center of the vast sphere.

"It looks like small flickering lights to me."

"Lights?"

Lyn smiled, "Maybe this is enough for today, did you bring me here in hopes to understand me more?"

Allen froze, and she chuckled. He's so clumsy with this stuff. "I'm afraid that won't do," her smile is weak, "If you want to get to know me, you'll have to be more direct."

...

Year 4014 Mist Kingdom - Main Castle -

Lyn sighed deeply, that gathering wore her out. Although she knew she would have to get the conference out of the way eventually. Hard for her to be seeing someone, huh? Even if she is busy, that's not a legit enough excuse even if it was received well.

Kazuya, exactly when is he coming back? She's going to be continuously bombarded by questions from all sorts of people. Since the trip to the Snow Kingdom, she found herself getting a lot more work and although she's happy about standing on even bigger stages now. Somehow, something is still missing. And what's missing is Kazuya. So until he comes back, she won't be able to rid herself of this empty feeling in her heart, huh?

Somehow, that's unfair.

Truly it's unpleasant. She heard from others that Kazuya went to the next town again. So earlier during the training session was the only time he would be in the Mist Kingdom for a while. How frustrating, if she knew that she would have delayed speaking with Allen for much longer.

Really what's become of her. She's become a wreck without him. She smiles in front of others, and yet the second she's left alone, she found herself being plunged into thoughts. The General or Pupillam didn't notice it earlier did they? Kazuya told her before that no matter what happens, they will be able to hear her song and yet..how can she know for sure that he's listening?

Right after the interview, she ended up going returning to her lessons.. however...it wasn't coming together, which is why she found herself outside by the balcony. How does she know for sure that he can hear her voice right now?

She's continuously been sent on more jobs recently; it's only natural since word got around regarding her achievements in the Snow Kingdom. To get better results, she's the one who is always sent. She doesn't mind it; she has to help out in any way that she can after all, and yet the more things she sees. The more her thoughts wander.

Her thoughts broke off when she hears approaching footsteps; she glanced up to see Rhys handing her a cup, "O--oh, thank you, Rhys."

Even though he has worked for the theater group, he's still accompanying her. Lyn takes a sip only to spit it back out.

"Why are you like this?"

Lyn thought he was talking about her spitting the drink just now.

"Huh? This is too sweet---" rather as much as she likes sweets, this is a bit too much. "Did you put something strange in this?"Find authorized novels in Webnovel, faster updates, better experience,Please click for visiting.

"No. Your songs.." Rhys paused and sighed. Lyn looked at him puzzled as Rhys continues, " Your songs usually have more...."

Lyn tilts her head, " Usually?" he doesn't say anything to that, and yet his reaction alone confirmed her suspicions, "Do you always watch me?" Though Lyn often sang and played music - she didn't think anybody was watching her. Why would they watch? Besides, unlike her sister, she can only perform and display any skill in private. She isn't anything special.

"Yeah." Rhys turned away, "Whenever you sing, well whenever you do anything. It feels like your embracing the world - there is a bright aura surrounding you. A gentle feeling," he trailed off, "Sorry, this is quite awkward. I'm not sure if I'm actually making any sense right now."

"No...." she shakes her head, no that was plenty of an example. Her cheeks flushed red, and she found herself smiling brightly at him, " Thank you! I'm thrilled!"

"...."

"Rhys, it was you, wasn't it? The person I met at the park. I've always wanted to ask you, but how do you know that song?"

"That's top-secret," Rhys bent down and lightly kissed her earlobes, she squirmed slightly, and his lips curve to its usual smirk. "I guess I'll see you later, Princess."

Lyn didn't have time to ask any more questions since he walked off. She would have stopped him, however, until she hears a sound coming from her bag to find a small bird inside. "You can't Toriko. They'll scold me if people see you," Lyn exclaimed. This was the bird Kazuya gave her recently. Now that she thought about it, whenever he came back, he would bring back the oddest things.

The little bird gave a small squeak in response.

"Say, do you think I can do it? Do I have that kind of power?" Does she have the power to change things? To become someone the Empire needs? Her gaze softened when the bird nodded, " Thank you, Toriko."

' If there are people who are still willing to listen to her voice, then she will... ' She said those words back then didn't she? During the time, when it felt like her entire world was collapsing. Although that's important to her, what's more, important now is..
