Princess Lyn: Fleeting Dreams 495 Red Stained Memories Part 2

The reason she left Kazuya side, the reason why she agreed to it so easily. Even if she were to answer that now, it would make no difference. She has to focus on the future that is right in front of her. No matter how painful and suffocating it gets, she has to move forward. She has to look straight ahead.

This is the only means left to salvage anything."If we give into the pressure from my sister's fraction, then we will lose more people than ever before. I would dislike that sort of outcome, so I will do my best to stop it."

'Do her best huh?'

A full on confrontation with her eldest sister. For a long time Lyn tried to avoid that outcome. After all, they share the same blood. Even if it's only half. They have different fathers but Lyn didn't care for such details. 'My sister is my sister.' There was a time where she thought she could make Lethia understand.

"The fact that we have magic not approved by the Empire is something we can't change. But regardless of our difference, I don't want you all to harm those regular individuals. We may have different magic, but we are still humans. We are all the same. I believe you won't attack randomly despite your frustration." Lyn trailed off.

'If they wanted to attack, they would have done so by now.'

The reason why they came to this meeting is because they wanted directions. Will they listen to her? It's hard to say. 

"After thinking it through my solution is to isolate ourselves. As a member of the royal family, I have my own private island. A place where n.o.body knows of."

This clearly didn't satisfy them, since the crowd bursts into dissatisfied chatter.

"If we continue living in the main land. Eventually every one of us will fall for my sister's schemes."

Lyn's Residence in the Main Castle - 

It was difficult explaining to the soldiers at the gate. But Lyn somehow managed to come up with an excuse, and they let her go. 'I'm still not used to staying in the main residence.' Lyn wanted nothing more than to return to her little secluded area. But she understood with the current situation it would be difficult.

She eventually arrived at her room and opened the doors. 'Unlocked...that means..'

She entered the room and spotted a figure on her bed. Lyn sighed and walked over to confirm her thoughts. Rhys laid there comfortably. 'It seems like he intends to stay here.

Lyn climbed onto the bed. She didn't bother getting changed, and rested her head comfortably in his arms.

"Rhys, are you asleep?"

"Your back." Rhys kissed her forehead. "What is it?"

"Ah, I was thinking about the meetings tomorrow. Among them there are some people I could recruit.."

"If you can talk like this. You must not be tired." Rhys mumbled. Rhys hovered on top of her. His hands tugged on her dress, loosening it slightly. He bent down and kissed her neck.

"Unnn...."

"Princess Lyn, isn't late nights bad for your skin?"

"Don't tease me." 

Rhys chuckled and continued to place light kisses down her neck.

"Rhys ..."

"Where did you go?" He mumbled.

A deep sigh pa.s.sed her lips. "I thought you wouldn't ask me."

"Don't I have the right to know?"

'He does but it isn't easy to say.' How would Rhys feel if he knew she was leading such a peculiar group? Her gaze fell on the man whose lips were on her b.r.e.a.s.t.s now. "Say...Rhys."

"What?"

'Do you have to do this?' 

"Lyn, I love you." Rhys said.

'So sly and so unfair…' He loves her huh? Lyn extended her hand out and caressed his hair. "Nnngh."

"So lately, you keep wearing the dresses I give you."

"I find them pretty."

"Is that so? Then I will get you some more." Rhys parted her legs and she shuddered. "Most n.o.bles would find dresses like this gaudy. I bought them from a commoner shop after all."

"A shop? Could you take me?" Lyn said interested.

His lips curve to a smile. "In the red light district, do you mind?"

The red light district huh? She recalled the face of that woman from before. Her eyebrows furrowed into a frown. This didn't go un-noticed by Rhys.

"Don't think about it."

"Do you still see her?"

Rhys didn't reply and licked her lower region. A soft moan pa.s.sed her lips and she gripped the sheets. "Rhys.."

"Let's finish up so we can sleep."

'When he avoids things like this, it makes me uneasy.'

....

Following morning 

Lyn felt a pair of arms wrap around her from the back. "Hah, I'm tired."

"Rhys?"

"Who else would it be?" 

She turned around and he placed a kiss between her forehead. "Ah, you're so mean." Lyn mumbled as she looked away. 

After doing something like that and not apologizing. Does he think kissing her like this will make her feel better? Still, she has to admit that it does feel nice.

"Is your body okay?"

"You know it isn't." She sighed.

Rhys chuckled softly. "Then let me give you a check up.

Lyn shook her head. "I need to stay here and oversee the preparations."

He continued to kiss her neckline and she let's out a soft moan. "Rhys, are you staying here?"

"Yeah, for a little while."

'Is he going to keep kissing her?' Lyn was self conscious that everybody was looking at them. This wasn't just here being overly conscious either. She felt several pairs of eyes staring since earlier. She bite her lip. 'Should I tell him to leave?' But, her gaze fell on his hands interwinded with hers. If he acts so sweet, it's a bit difficult to tell him to leave.

A content sigh pa.s.sed her lips when she felt his other hand on her thighs. She doesn't understand this stuff very well yet. But when Rhys touches her, it feels very good.

Before Rhys could do anymore, the sound of rus.h.i.+ng footsteps stopped them. She immediately drew back only to see Kazuya entering the room. Her eyes twitched annoyed.

"Again! What did you do again?" Lyn lectured.

Kazuya beamed. "I just stole something."

'This guy... He isn't holding back these days is he?'

Lyn sighed. "You're lucky that unauthorized people can't come in here. But I will speak to them later."

Why does this person cause so many problems for her?

"Got it Princess."

Rhys tugged on her hand. "Hey, don't ignore me."

"I'm not ignoring you."

Why is Rhys so petty? 

Maybe he understood what she was thinking since he placed a gentle kiss on her eyelids.

"Well, I guess I can share you today." Rhys mumbled. "Hey Kazuya, what did you take this time?"

Kazuya removed something from his pocket. It was the emblem for the rain kingdom royal family. Her eyes widened when she saw it.

"Where---?"

"I found it near Princess Lethia's room."

Her gaze dimmed when she heard those words. 

She called a maid over. "Did my sister have visitors today?"

"The crown Princess fiance came to see her."

Her sister's fiance? Since they left the party earlier, Lyn didn't see this person. So her sister's fiance is from the Rain Kingdom royal family? She wonders if this was the reason why she hadn't seen Arthur recently. Is something going on in the Rain Kingdom? If that truly is the case then she has to do something about it.

'I can't allow Arthur to take on anymore than this. It seems like I will have to intervene.'
