The Lagdameo heir walked to the center in solitary as the whole place dimmed, highlighting the boy's presence with the spotlight that was set to follow him. Even from distance, Xhemin could not help but notice his attractive hazel eyes hiding behind the mask he was wearing.

"Good evening, sires, my ladies" the Lagdameo heir began "First, let me welcome you to L Empire's Annual Equestrian Ball and to formally open the event, I want to introduce to you the mistress of this mansion, my sister, Dannah Samuelle Lagdameo"

A loud snap engulfed the place and another spotlight went to highlight another person descending over the stairs, she was fair and flawless, her s.h.i.+nning shoulders glittered upon the spotlight as she descended the stairs. It was like she has an inner radiance, a l.u.s.ter that made even her skin reflect light. Her stunning cut gown was simple, yet it was wonderfully executed gown of deep ruby red.

Her presence was very stunning and the way she held herself up showed she was a woman of intelligence—she stood there, proud and smart but there was something else in her that made the crowd whispered under their breathes.

"Her eyes were green, I could tell. Is she really Dannah Lagdameo?" Someone from the crowd asked.

"Dannah never made a public appearance before, they said the third young miss was very shy she didn't want to be seen in public"

"Even if she wasn't shy, she would render no importance to Lagdameo's because she's a girl"

"How awful, we can't even see her face!"

The introduction caught Xhemin in surprise. The mistress of the mansion, meaning the Lady boss right? So, the lady boss was the beast's sister?

A painful p.r.i.c.k started to wear off from Xhemin's heart. It was his sister. How could she be that foolish to a.s.sume it was someone else? Was she also the person he told 'I love you" also over the phone?

Xhemin breathe out a guilty sigh. However, something still confused her. Why didn't he choose to introduce her to his sister? And why did he throw her out without much explanation?

Dannah Sammuelle ran her hands down to her sides and as she made her last step, Darryl Lemmuel, his brother, offered her a hand. She took it and went to the center isle with him.

"Ladies and gentlemen, to make this night extra special, upon welcoming you all I'd like to give you a glimpse of one of my latest possession" Dannah spoke and started heading to one corner of the great hall and stopped in a wall somewhere where something had been pasted, hiding on long curtains.

Everyone's eyes were br.i.m.m.i.n.g with curiosity. What is behind the long curtains? What treasured possession was the third young miss talking about? Of course, everyone was dreading what could be in there— a Lagdameo's possession was something to look forward to.

"Everyone, I give you the famous Moonlight Mirror!" Dannah exclaimed, and the curtain fell off revealing the ever-fabled mirror. Everyone gasped in shock and excitement!

"The Moonlight Mirror has been found!" Someone from the crowd shouted. And everyone stepped closer to where Dannah was hoping they could have a clearer view of the masterpiece.

Even Huzey, who was at the moment standing beside Xhemin couldn't help but gazed upon the beauty of the legendary mirror.

"Was this the reason why you suddenly opened about the Moonlight Mirror before?" The prince casted a surprised look upon Xhemin.

"Yeah, I already saw it. I'm sorry I couldn't tell" She said and shrugged "I have confidentiality agreement as a vet a.s.sistant"

Huzey's eyes brightened, and Xhemin could tell the prince was very amazed. He is an artist after all and only a rare masterpiece can catch his attention. This one right here, pasted on the wall, was one of the lucky pieces that had left the diamond prince mesmerizing.

"Is that even authentic?" Someone with audacity questioned the thing.

"They said it had been centuries since it was gone" Another added to raise a doubt "Oh My this is very impossible!"

"It's the third miss who acquired it, she could have misjudged, she's only a young girl" Somebody accused.

"I can't believe it! Can somebody check on the authenticity of the thing?" Another asked.

Dannah was left fl.u.s.tered. It was the first time she appeared in public and yet everyone was already questioning her capability. Does she always had to prove herself even with the things she bought for her own amus.e.m.e.nt?

The crowd was divided. Everyone was speculating as they exchanged gazes and opinions. The L Empire and Lagdameo heir's reputation was certain and highly respected, but the third young missus reputation was nothing compared to the former. Lagdameo themselves do not even give much attention and regard to the women in their family, so why would the public even trust a young missus proposition?

Dannah was mad and was mocking the crowd inwardly, but the frustration she had with them didn't came p.r.o.nounced in her face. Darryl was ready to give her a backup, but he waited for her to redeem her own self. He knew Dannah doesn't and would not be asking his help. He would end up hurting her feeling if he comes to her rescue.
