"You're not by any chance, secretly the Doctor, are you?" A voice called up to James, and the crowd parted slightly to reveal an elf James knew all too well. Z, and the Knights, stood before him, grins on their faces as they looked up at him. James had no idea what they were talking about.
"Did anyone see a Blue Phonebooth anywhere?" Z glanced around his party, and they all shrugged, though their grins remained. "d.a.m.n." Z looked back up towards James. "Do you have a sonic screwdriver?"
James just stared blankly back down at the group; his mind completely blank. What in the world was Z referencing this time?
"He's a whovian." Rue's voice whispered into James's ear, causing James to flinch. The sudden reaction caused Z and his party, along with all of the other adventurers around them, to suddenly step away, their eyes looking at James warily. He was called a Mad Mage, after all. He didn't blame them for being slightly worried about him. h.e.l.l, at this point in time, James was worried about himself.
"Tell them to hurry up and summon your fairy's avatar. Tell them she is deadlier than a weeping angel."
James shot his pixie a glare. She simply responded with a smirk and motioned down towards the adventurers. Rue often knew the references Z and his party made. So sure, why not. James would entertain them. What was the worst that could happen?
"If you summon my fairy, she is deadlier than a Weeping Angel…" James trailed off as he spoke. Z looked up at him dumbstruck, as did the others. After a few moments, the leader of the Knight's started clapping his hands, a huge grin on his face.

"Yes." He said, "I knew it." He let out a cheer, spinning to look at the rest of his party, and the adventurers around him. "I knew these achievements meant the developers were men of culture! They put in AI with pop culture references even. This is awesome." He let out another cheer, before he turned back to the very confused James.
"Tell me, Mad Mage of Chaos." Z's tone was light, but James knew he was being as serious as he could, given the situation. "What do you know of our current situation?"
Typical Z. One of the things James admired about him, was how quickly he could take control of the situation. It had gone from one of confusion, with James asking to speak to the leader of the adventurers, to Z turning it around and getting straight to the point. What's more, James was thankful of him for that.
"Don't forget to act Mad." Rue whispered. "And I mean Mad, not Mad, obviously." Yup, Rue was going to be extremely annoying until she was summoned, James could just tell.
"I-" James paused, getting his thoughts together. The whole world was watching, and he needed to roleplay a mad mage. Right…he's got this.
"Our current enemy is one of candied forces." James looked down at the adventurers, trying his best to roleplay a mad mage. "They have been attacking all of you, invading my dungeon for the past few days, bringing with them their sweet ways." He growled. "I'm sick of their sugary selves. If they remain, they're bound to give us diabetes and cavities." Was that mad enough? Or was he playing into it too much? James glanced at Rue, who simply gave him a thumbs up as she slurped on what appeared to be a slus.h.i.+e. Right. Rue was an AI, and she acted like that… James would be fine.
"It is as you say…" Z looked him up and down once more, in a way that made James feel like Z was doing his best to a.n.a.lyze his Avatar form. Recalling what he could from when he a.n.a.lyzed BLANKs Avatar, he realized Z, and all of the adventurers for that matter, likely had no idea what James could do. Only that his name was The Mad Mage of Chaos, and he was a level 25 Avatar. "Max? Can I call you Max? I mean, you're a Mad Mage… but when I see the word Mad, and I think of Chaos… I think Mad Max."
"Uh" James hadn't expected that. Where the h.e.l.l had that come from? Whatever, James decided he was just going to go with it. Now was the time for roleplaying his Mad Mage of Chaos character, not thinking and worrying too much. Though, an idea crossed his mind as Z said that.
"How about you call me by my last name?" James grinned, looking down at Z. "Jenkins." By doing that, he figured he could link himself to his boss mobs, and the running story he was slowly developing for his dungeon. After all, the humanoid bosses so far had been of the Jenkins family. It would make sense for the Dungeon Core's Avatar to be a Jenkins as well, right? Totally made sense to James.
"You're first name isn't Leeroy, is it?" This time it wasn't Z who spoke, but instead Oak. The Indra looked James up and down, before he shook his head. "Nah, you're definitely a caster of some sorts. You don't strike me as a Leeroy. "
James simply flashed a grin down at Oak. Of course, they would get the Jenkins references. And James knew exactly what they meant when they referenced good ol Leeroy Jenkins.
"Perhaps we should get back to the more important matters at hand." Med Ic spoke up, causing Z and Oak, who both looked like they had more jokes to crack, to wince slightly. Right, James's strongest party of adventurers was also one of his least serious at times.
"Yes, the war on diabetus…er...candy." Z grinned while everyone else laughed. James heard more than a few groans coming from the adventurers around them, and he couldn't help but notice some of the players had begun moving off on their own. The appearance of the Avatar had been interesting enough, but James figured the novelty was wearing off now for some of them.
"Tell us, Jenkins. What exactly do you bring to the fight?" Z made a grand show of swinging his arms wide, motioning towards all of the adventurers around him. "How can you, in all your might, help us defeat the sugary invaders."
"I'm so glad you asked." James smiled as he pointed his hand towards the ground in front of him. Immediately the players all around him moved aside. After all, when a Mad Mage begins casting spells, you usually don't want to be anywhere nearby. "Allow me to demonstrate my grand power." For effect, he decided to let out a crazed cackle as glowing runes of red appeared on the ground. This was going to be fun.
