Calin sweetly smiled at madam Keir and presented a small gift box to coax her.

"elder madam, I heard you like collecting jewelries. I hope you'll appreciate this gift, it's not that much but I really made an effort to obtain that." Calin softly speak.

Madam Keir casually accepted the small round ivory box with a ring size diamond embedded on top lid and to her astonishment, the box contained a rectangular shape, red beryl earrings. "is this red beryl?!" madam Keir asked

with amazement.

"yes madam Keir, i got it from a friend who owns a large jewelry shop at Crystal city." Calin proudly said.

Madam Keir now looked delighted and seemed to have forgotten how she was upset earlier, Crystal city is known for it's vast mines of gemstones, diamonds etc...thus, it's named Crystal city, business traders and wealthy individuals swarmed there to partake in auctions and deals, so before these jewelries were transported to different countries, most of the finest and rarest ones already have a buyer.

Therefore, madam Keir is convince that Calin really made an effort to obtain the pair of earrings. "thank you Calin for such a thoughtful gift! isn't this coincidental? s.h.i.+n gave me the same type of jewelry...you really suit each other."

"S-s.h.i.+n is here?!" Calin exclaimed looking surprise, her face blushed and she felt a bit nervous.

Did s.h.i.+n saw her arrived?

Partly, Calin felt vexed since this isn't what she's expecting, s.h.i.+n's supposed to greet her once he saw her at the entrance and let everyone see that she belongs to him!

"oh don't be scared! it's time you get to know more about each other...those rumors don't mind it!" madam Keir comforted her thinking that Calin's surprised reaction is due to the fact that she's nervous to meet s.h.i.+n given his bad reputation. "come here! you should sit with him."

Calin blushed even more, maybe s.h.i.+n is just held up by some of his business partners or friends and didn't notice her arrival plus madam Keir said they have the same gift, it's not coincidental at all but fate!

Tristan smirked seeing Madam Keir and Calin walking towards their table. He would surely get implicated if the errupting volcano beside him gets triggered, nah~ not gonna let it happen.

"Mr. Hill! im glad you manage to visit Sin City, why not sit here with your companions...with your busy schedule we barely get to see each other." Tristan called out the gentleman sitting to the next table.

"ah mr. felan! how long has it been since you went to greene country?" mr.hill humbly spoke and stood up along with his companion. "i apologize if i didn't greet you earlier, it seems you were quite serious with your discussions."

The atmosphere quickly turned profound like in a board meeting that even madam Keir hesitated if she would interrupt, since she saw from a distance that her favorite grandson initiated the conversation, she did not complain. "Calin sit here for now, anyways your engagement will be announce sooner." madam Keir gestured Calin to sit on a nearby table.

Calin clenched her fist and stared daggers at Tristan, he obviously did it on purpose! is he jealous?!

tut...tut...tut... 4 years ago, desperate to be a part of the Keir's and thinking Tristan is easy to seduce, Calin tried to climbed Tristan's bed but failed. Although Tristan is a playboy, he loathes women who tries to entrap him.

Ludicrously, Calin is a narcissist and she thought Tristan regretted that he refused her before especially now that she's the no.1 beauty and also s.h.i.+n's fiance. 'hmph! too late!' she sneered inwardly.

Unknown to Calin, majority of the women were quietly rejoicing. But to her disappointment, s.h.i.+n did not even glimpse at her. Maybe he just didn't heard her? Calin quickly compose herself maintaining her elegant and demure image.

While Calin is off daydreaming, the host started talking followed by madam Keir's speech.

"...now, it is my great honour, to welcome our renowned CEO s.h.i.+n Keir and the peerless beauty Calin w.a.n.g on to the stage for a wonderful announcement!" the host spoke enthusiastically.

Calin snapped out of her daze and her face is now tinge with red.

All eyes were on the both of them and Calin can barely keep her calm demeanor feeling overjoyed. She shyly smiled to everyone while waiting for s.h.i.+n to stand beside her and ask for her hand.
