He hated her. For many years, he had been ignoring and suppressing this feeling. The disguise collapsed the moment he saw her again. He couldn't lie to himself; he loved her: his hatred was filled with love, desperate love. For five years, he never thought about her. He thought he could forget. In fact, she was engraved in his mind. How could he forget her?
Lin Meng was struggling. Although, he was sick, the disparity between men and women seemed to be fate. She couldn't move him. She was anxious and annoyed. Tears welled up in her eyes, stubbornly refusing to flow down. She looked into his eyes, expressing a silent complaint. The pain made her frown. Although she knew that resistance was useless, she refused to give up.
She gasped. When she felt she was about to suffocate and die, he finally let her go. He held her tightly in his arms, his head buried in her neck. The empty heart was filled up. The warmth of having her in his arms made it feel like a dream. He didn't know what he was doing. His mind was clouded. He just wanted to kiss her, to hold her. Only then could he truly feel that she was…. she was back.
Lin Meng pushed him away and ran out of the room without looking back.
Gu Yubai laid on the bed and stared at the ceiling. His face held a bitter smile. What was he looking forward to?
Lin Meng ran out of the villa as if someone was chasing her. With a hazy mind, she headed straight onto the road as a car was approaching. She stood dazed as the car drove toward her.
"Oh…” There was the sharp noise of brakes being pressed and the car came to a screeching halt.
“What happened?” The man sitting in the back seat opened his eyes and asked the driver.
“Young master, we seem to have hit someone.” The driver turned back. He had been slow to react. But he had not expected that a person would come from the corner and run in front of the car. He pressed the horn, but she did not respond.
“Hurry… Get off and see.” The man frowned. The driver got out of the car and walked over to Lin Meng.
