Megan lost consciousness during the gunfires and fighting between both the parties and when she woke up, she found herself inside a closed room with handcuffs on her hands, tied behind her. She cursed inwardly as she recalled all that had happened.
She looked around and she saw nothing but walls except for the chair she was sitting on and the table in front of her. "Fu*ck!" she muttered as she tried hard to think and struggled to open her hands.
A few agonising minutes later, the door opened and her eyes rounded in shock with what she saw. Keira stood there with a smug expression on her face, walking slowly towards her. Megan was filled with hatred seeing Keira Chan approaching her with a bright smile on her face.
"b.i.t.c.h!" she unconsciously voiced out.
"Me? Nah it suits you the best. b.i.t.c.h!" Keira mumbled as she sat down in front of Megan with a mocking and proud look in her eyes.
"You do know that you are going to be peeled alive very soon, so If I were you I would just cooperate obediently with the military in order to keep alive and suffer less. Moreover, you might suffer more already as military doesn't have any plans to kill you right away, since you're useful enough with a good data of information." Keira explained. She could see the disbelief on Megan's face as if the latter was trying to decipher whether she was having a bad dream only.
"You're not dreaming you b.i.t.c.h…." Keira said with an arched brow.
"How?" was the only word Megan could say. How come Keira was still alive and how come they were busted when she clearly made sure that her plan would succeed.

"Hmm, good question from a dumba.s.s like you, but the answer is very simple, b.i.t.c.h. It's because the light always wins over the dark and the good always prevails over evil. A mere evil snake like you can not break the pious bond that me and my husband have. I honestly pity you. Joining a group that hurt innocent people…" stated Keira but was cut when Megan suddenly murmured, "Zach."
"My husband is fine and very well if you're worried about him. I will no longer waste my time here. I just wanted you to see that you messed up with the wrong couple Megan. I will make sure that justice is served and that you'll pay for all the wrongdoings you have done." Keira declared before she left Megan in the room totally stumped with her current situation.
Keira stepped out of the interrogation room and saw a handsome old figure standing there waiting for her. She smiled at her father who was waiting outside the interrogation room located in a confidential location were the military had detained all the terrorists that were captured alive.
"There's no bombing. We're able to stop it all in time. All because we discovered their main hide-out. I'm so proud of my son-in-law and only daughter." commented Field Marshal Chan as he tried to hug his daughter. "Dear, it's so difficult to hug you now a days… I feel like I'm hugging a big cabinet." Field Marshal Chan jested that made Keira hit her father's shoulder.
"Dad! I will surely tell my twins how you mistreated their mother… Why are you calling me a big cabinet. I am carrying twins after all! Is that how you appreciate your only daughter for giving that one in a million idea to track that wench." Keira mumbled pouting.
Field Marshal Chan laughed and pinched his daughter's nose. "Well you're still the prettiest so your size doesn't matters."
Keira let out a long sigh and murmured, "I hope everything is well after all this dad… I mean, please no more field work for my husband. You know he deserves a break from it. He had already suffered a lot. He has put his life in line so many times… Please… That's enough…"
Field Marshal Chan understood his daughter well and he did agree with her. He gently caressed and stroked his daughters hair as he uttered, "Yes dear. I will make sure nothing like this will ever happen again."

The mole inside the military was arrested and it was General Ling along with his soldiers inside. The investigation went smoothly, though some of the members had committed suicide before getting arrested, to not disclose any information about their group, they still had managed to arrest Megan and some others who the military had kept alive, totally locked up.
Everything went back to normal in a few days and a ceremony was held to give recognition to the soldiers who bravely fought the terrorists and all those who partic.i.p.ated in the mission, risking everything to save innocent people. Keira was crying hard. She felt very happy that everything went well.
Beside her was Lyra while on the other side was Cielo, both were also crying watching their husbands receiving their awards.
After the ceremony, everyone gathered at Zach and Keira's house for a celebration.
"When will Jeru and Thea return?" asked Torin while they were having dinner outside in the garden.
"They will go back to the City tomorrow. It's a good thing they followed our advice. Until now, their mobile phones are turned off. They will open it tomorrow before going back." answered Zach. Jeru and Thea had no access to media too so they were not aware yet of what had happened.
"Bro, can I file for a leave too? Having a honeymoon like that sounds exciting." Torin suddenly commented. Zach would be back in the military effectively as soon as Jeru returned. He would train for the post of Field Marshal as he was chosen as the best candidate after the voting amongst highest officials.
Zach raised an eyebrow and said, "You still have a lot to learn Torin so no vacation leave yet…"
"But, I think it's better if you let me have my vacation now while Keira is still pregnant because I'm sure I won't have the opportunity to have it once your wife gave birth. For sure you will soon go on a vacation to make more babies." Torin bluntly complained that made everyone laugh.

Indeed Torin knew his brother-in-law so well. Cielo on the other hand elbowed Drey and teasingly whispered, "Shall I ask a vacation leave too on your behalf? You know bro Zach would listen to me first than Torin." Drey's face blushed.
Keira smiled as she watched the bantering of the people close to her. Lana was on her way together with May who was with Riley and now was planning to settle down also. She would love to have more gatherings like this, a happy gathering of the people she cared for, being all well, safe and sound.
