Words cannot describe how I feel. Sounds don't seem so loud and sensations are so subtle it's like nothing exists at all. I'm standing in a world that has no idea I exist, there may be people but theirs no connection between me or them. Like broken gla.s.s on the street children are pulled away from me and people avoid me at all costs afraid of being cut. I'm an inconvenience to everyone, why do I exist? Why was I here in the first place? That's right…because you were here beside me. You gave me purpose; you didn't care if you got cut. That didn't matter as long as you could support me.

"Isaac, are you ready?" There he stood with a lantern planted firmly in his grasp, if he let this float to the sky did that mean he was accepting it? Everyone was sobbing uncontrollably, there wasn't a dry eye on the field. Why would there be, she was the best thing that ever happened to this community. There was so much she had left to do. Isaac glanced over at Luther and Damien who were also reluctantly holding their final acceptance. After the news, Lucian had returned home ready to lose his son. However, when they returned Damien was larger than life as if nothing had happened. It was later discovered their drug was only a placebo and its affect were only temporary. All that drama and rage had been for nothing.

Blake and Helen were emotional wrecks…they hadn't stop crying since explaining to the pack what had happened. Blake's eyes were so swollen he could barely see and as for Helen she was stuck in a comatose state. Not only had she lost her daughter but her granddaughter. Aiden had taken it hard too and distanced himself from the pack, he wouldn't even stand with his brother in her memorial. Hollow pack had joined to pay it's respects along with Vermont from the Grand Council. It was quite a turn out for Ally. Isaac looked stable on the outside but inside there was a typhoon sweeping across his organs and he was out for blood. It was strange how similar his grief was to Luther's; they didn't cry like the rest but glared at her picture swearing redemption. Carrie took the stand holding her new-born son in her arms. It had been asked of her to give a speech on Ally's behalf being to only one who could keep it together without bursting into tears or killing anyone. It was clear how nervous she was, and her eyes couldn't stay on her picture for more than a few seconds.

Ally's picture was a recent one, it was her smiling as she watched Jake practicing his martial art moves on Isaac, everyone remembered in vividly because her laughter caught everyone off guard. A smile was rare for her never mind a laugh. It was the first time she had spent the day not doing a thing, resting her body for her child. Her sparkling white teeth and s.h.i.+ny mismatched eyes. It really showed off her radiance and beauty. Carrie took a deep breath and took out a piece of paper from under her s.h.i.+rt. Isaac felt his heart begin hurting again, he knew some hoe truths were about to be thrown out in the open about her childhood. Carrie fought alongside them after all.

"I'm not too sure how to start off and I just want to say no matter what I talk about in this speech will ever fully explain the love we all had for Ally. I think the only person who can truly do that is not here with us today." Blake hugged Helen tight who burst into tears the minute she began talking.

"I grew up with Ally from birth and it's safe to say we were never really close until the end. Some of the younger ones might not know this but she was the most unsociable person in the world, and n.o.body could survive her glare. However, you better believe she was right there to stand for us if we were up for punishment or being bullied. Ally was right there kicking everyone's a.s.s. "Carrie smiled nostalgically along with many others.

"There was always one person though, she would never ever let anyone touch. If you so much as thought about it, you were met with the most brutal grudge ever born on this earth. That person was her twin brother Blake…" Blake dropped his head letting the tears flow to the green cast gra.s.s below, Isaac could feel his pain. Like a knife in his chest.

"Blake and Ally had this bond I don't think anyone could understand no matter how hard we tried. Ally loved Blake more than anyone, I know this because I remember the day he was challenged by a different pack. I remember the way the car skidded to a stop on this very field and the way she stormed from the pa.s.senger seat like a bat out of h.e.l.l. Then before her brother could say a single word she volunteered as tribute to fight for him because she couldn't bare to see him hurt. That is a true sibling bond." They all remembered that day like yesterday, that was the day Ally almost died from wolfsbane.

"Then there's Ally's second favourite person. Isaac came into this pack as an orphan and he didn't fit in right away. Ally was the first one to approach him and always said he had potential to be an amazing wolf, after that they laughed, cried and in the end fell in love. I know that even on her last day Isaac will and always has been her first love and their bond is inseparable." Isaac clenched his fists and sat down feeling his legs collapse beneath him.

"Ally then went on to make her debut in the vampire community after her transition which is where she met Aiden. Aiden and Ally also shared a bond that couldn't be broken and fought side by side together until the end. She always admired the way he called Isaac his brother even though they had no blood relation, she would always tell me how intelligent and caring he was for someone so closed off. Ally loved Aiden also." Aiden moved closer to the formation and sat beside Isaac feeling the words. .h.i.t them both like knives. Aiden had no idea she felt that way about him.

"Finally, we come to the last leg of her love triangle. As we all know Luther was fated to be with her no matter what and no matter how far away, they were apart, he would always find her in the end. Ally had such a strong bond with him even in her last days she told me how good of a person he was deep down. Ally even decided to bare his child knowing how good of a father he could truly be. I'm so sorry you never got to prove that to her." Luther placed his face in his hands in devastation, Carrie was so loving with her words it made everybody hurt inside.

"Ally King is probably the most maternal person I've ever met considering her personality. Ally was a mother to Damien, Jake, Quinn and my baby boy who would not be here without her. Every time I look at his face, I remember the way she smiled proudly at me for pulling through. She also told me that she learned that from the best. Helen loved Ally more than anything in the world, she was so proud of all the things she'd overcome. For the close family of Ally, I bet she's smiling down on you right now telling you to suck it up because although she is not here in the flesh, she is in all of our hearts. So, if everyone would light their lanterns for the girl who changed our lives for the better. Ally we love you and miss you every day, we hope you and Luna are resting in peace." With shaky hands and tear stained faces everyone lit up their lanterns and let them float to the sky. They looked like fireflies in the distance blending in with the whitewashed clouds. It was a beautiful scene but heart-breaking at the same time. Carrie wiped her tears and stepped down from the podium running into Helen's arms which cradled her like a child. Her speech was very moving, but Isaac felt like it was lacking something, Aiden watched as he stood up and calmly approached the podium. Everyone was so engrossed with the lanterns they failed to see him take the stand. Luther however was glued to him; it appears he had read his mind. Ally wasn't all lovey dovey after all. People slowly began to take notice and were surprised he'd plucked of the courage to say anything. Isaac had been silent since her pa.s.sing. Helen and Blake smiled subtly, there was only one person who could do Ally King justice and that was him.

"Um…this might be a little jumbled in some places because I didn't write anything down but…how do you write anything about Ally down." He chuckled slightly feeling his chest tighten.

"What Carrie said was true I did come into this pack an orphan after my parents were murdered by hunters…it really messed me up and I was uncontrollable. If I wasn't fighting, I was…crying or wallowing in self-pity because people didn't want to be anywhere near me. I was losing hope that I could ever be happy again and that's when…a long black-haired girl sat beside me and taught me what life was really about. Ally told me that crying wasn't going to bring them back but the emotions that I felt were useful for a lot of other things. Like fighting, helping others and at first, I didn't believe a word she said and brushed her off. The day after I was caught fighting and ended being punished, as Alpha King dragged me away, I felt a tug on my s.h.i.+rt that was holding me in place. I remember fearing for my life seeing the expression on his face, he was terrifying when he got mad but what scared me more is that it was the first emotion other than sadness and anger that I'd felt since losing my parents. When I looked back to see who was holding me…there she was gripping me with dear life her body covered in bruises. In her eyes was nothing but hope, it was like opening my eyes for the first time. This girl that barely knew me was hanging on for dear life trying to save me…" Isaac began choking up feeling the remnants of that fated day, it was the day he'd fell in love with her. People began smiling nostalgically, that's exactly what Ally was…a hero.

"That day she stepped in-front of me and outstretched her arm without saying a word. Alpha King could tell what she was trying to do and took her instead of me. As she walked away with his grip tight around her, she looked back at me and smiled, as if telling me everything was going to be okay as long as I stayed by her side. That was the day I fell in love with Ally King…" Luther was fascinated by his story; he knew Isaac and Ally had history, but this was deeper than he could ever imagine.

"After that we were inseparable. There was something about the way she handled her father that made me realize how fortunate I was just to have the small happy moments with mine. As you all know Ally was a firecracker, she never ever lost a fight and stood for what she believed in. Pain didn't touch her, and failure never phased her, she was the perfect leader for this family and irreplaceable. Her sacrifices will not go on in vain and I don't care if I have to fight until my dying breath to avenge her…I will not let the girl who blessed us all be forgotten. This is a war that the S.E.S have started, and we will be d.a.m.n sure to finish. It hurts like h.e.l.l right now and I'm very aware of that but like she said to me when I was six years old, that pain can be moulded into something better. We mourn now and fight later. Don't let her death be in vain." Isaac jumped down from the podium before disappearing behind the house. They were all sh.e.l.l-shocked how emotional he was in those last moments. His aura was so red with rage they could see it like a mist. Luther was still looking at the podium in awe, since when did Isaac resemble him so much. It was as if he'd took the words right out of his mouth. People began gossiping nervously hearing the animosity on his tone, he was waging war with broken soldiers.

"Father, what should we do?" Damien felt partly responsible for all of this being petty enough to wander outside of the safe zone. If only he hadn't left, then Luther and Ally wouldn't have felt the need to avenge him. They wouldn't have been caught in their trap. Luther tried to rea.s.sure him it wasn't his fault but once guilt has set in it's like a bacterium eating away at your soul until you have nothing left.

"We're going to do what we can with what we have left. I'm going to talk to Isaac, please wait here." Damien nodded obediently, it's not like he had the courage to reject. His father was like a hollow man who knew the primary functions of living, but he was no longer alive. Luther walked around to the back of the house where Isaac sat alone on the rose garden with his hands over his swollen eyes. He looked a mess right now.

"It was a great speech Isaac but I'm not sure starting recruitment on the day of her vigil is the best idea." Isaac picked up the chair he was sitting on before launching it at Luther's head. Carelessly he dodged, there was so much rage emanating from him right now he wasn't sure if talking was a good idea.

"Isaac—"

"I can't! I can't just sit here feeling sorry for myself like everyone else. I need someway to went out what I'm feeling, or it really will kill me for good. No turning off my emotions, no killing for the h.e.l.l of it I mean really kill me, so I don't have to feel anything anymore." His thoughts suddenly burst out and he was talking so fast Luther could barely keep up.

"I meant what I said in those woods okay. This is war and I need you on my side. Your hurting and I understand that completely, but you need to keep it together until the time comes to avenge her. Can you do that?" Isaac glared at him wild eyes, truthfully that was too much to ask from him right now. Isaac was beyond the point of keeping it together.

"Are you patronizing me? Who the f*ck said you were in control! I'm getting revenge whether you like it or not, I don't need you. I don't need anyone." Isaac flipped him off before storming into the house. Luther sighed and sat down; this process was exhausting…he never knew grief could hurt so bad…

"Are we playing twenty questions?" Liam was helping Raven pack up her things ready for discharge. The gash in her head was healing quickly but her memories showed no sign of returning meaning she would have to rely on his entirely.

"I'm just curious that's all. Like how you fend off your bloodl.u.s.t and how fast can you run when it counts. I'm guessing Abbie and Jay help you with those dilemmas, you all seem pretty close after all. Childhood friends?" Liam nodded as he watched her tie up her ebony hair and douse her porcelain skin in cold water.

"Yeah, we've been together for a very long time. How could you tell?" Raven looked at her bright blue eyes in the mirror, one of them seemed slightly brighter than the other which made her wonder just how hard she had hit her head.

"I guess it's the way you look at eachother. When people have watched someone grow, they look at them differently to those who have only been friends for a short period of time. Their facial expressions, the feeling around them are all detectable once you know them. When Jay walked in you tensed up because you knew without looking, he was about to hit you." Liam smiled, she never failed to impress him.

"How do you do that? I've never met someone equally as hypervigilant than me." Raven sat down and began rubbing her knuckles imagining the sort of things she used to do in the past. Either way she could feel it in her bones that she was a fighter.

"I don't know maybe I was just born this way. They say you can't take the soul from the body without the right conduit to accept it. So, I guess something just didn't want me to forget who I am." Liam nodded, she was absolutely right. Raven seemed much more mature than her age which may mean she had lived a very mature life. Mature life usually included hards.h.i.+p, so he sympathized with her greatly.

"Why don't we talk about something I haven't even heard you mention yet. What about your baby?" Raven seemed to have a change of tune as he brought up the subject. There was something very strange about the way she avoided the subject like it was taboo.

"Well if I'm pregnant it means there's a father out there somewhere. I can't explain it, but I know I have to protect this child no matter what, it's the goal I woke up with and the one I'll stick too for the rest of my life. They told me it was a girl based off the scans…I'm going to have a daughter soon and it makes me…overwhelming happy." Liam smiled widely. So, she really wanted this child no matter what circ.u.mstances she was conceived under. Raven was a very strong girl; she showed no fear whatsoever.

"I'm glad to hear that. We are going to support you the whole way so keep going. Raven, let's go home."
