"It's simple.

Or at least it sounds simple. But it isn't.

Eric says

"Yes. Just keep making it more confusing.

How many levels are there when it comes to magic?"

Mogranius replies with

"Six.

There are six levels, on any kind of magic there is.

There are six levels.

Level one is named

"Hatchling"

Hatchlings are ordered to read tens of books before trying any magic at all.

They need to understand the basics. The more they know, the safer it is for them.

I saw Fire Wizards and Witches blow their fingers off due to how impatient they were."

Eric says

"Glad i didn't do the first level.

Both because i don't want to loose my fingers and of course i don't want to read a bunch of books."

Mogranius replies with

"Yes you got lucky. Or at least you think so.

Although you won't be as lucky when you tap in to the other powers.

Even though all magic books are destroyed, i'm sure we can find something for you to read.

Eric replies with a half sarcastic half sad voice

"Sounds like a blast."

Mogranius replies with

"It is.

However, the second level is called

"Young Cub"

The name represents a Witch or Wizard who didn't yet give up.

It represents someone eager for more knowledge.

Whoever reaches this level, sinks in to more books. Not in quant.i.ty compared to the first set of books. Just more advanced and it takes longer to learn."

Eric says

"Is that the level i started off"

Mogranius replies with

"No. Not at all.

You obviously never finished reading a book before hehe."

Eric says

"Yes yes. Now can you not be sarcastic just for a moment and tell me what level i am?"

Mogranius replies with

"You Actually started off at the

"Magician" level.

That is the third level.

Students who reached this level were guided to actually do magic.

As they were considered responsible and smart enough to cast basic magic spells without blowing off their fingers. Or their hair. Or other people's hair."

Eric says

"That explains the bald spot on top of your head? haha!!

So that's the level i'm at?

Level three?"

Mogranius replies with a irritated face

"Yes Yes an impatient student like you burned my hair.

But you are actually considered an Expert.

You are easily a level four fire Wizard.

I mean you already were able to create Fire Tornados.

And you didn't pa.s.s out in the process."

Eric says

"Wait. I can pa.s.s out during fire tornados?"

Mogranius replies with

"Yes. Your powers are actually based on your stamina too.

The more you blast, the more stamina you use.

I did Fire Tornados before.

But i pa.s.sed out on my first three tries.

How do you have such a big stamina?"

Eric says

"I ate my vegetables.

Wait. You pa.s.sed out and i didn't?

Looks like the student becomes the teacher.

(Said Eric with a c.o.c.ky voice)."

Mogranius replies with

"You couldn't teach a dog to bark.

However, You are the Electus. And you seem to progress on your fire power extraordinarily fast. Which is normal for an Electus.

Don't expect the same on your other powers though.

They might take a longer while.

However. The two last levels are Master and Grand Master."

Eric says

"So the man in Crutal Kingdom is a Grand Master?

He is more powerful than both of us when it comes to Fire Power?"

Mogranius replies with

"Indeed he is. He is a Grand Master.

While you and i share the same level.

But you will surely pa.s.s me very soon.

There are many tricks i can show you."

Eric says

"The more i learn the easier it gets, right?"

Mogranius replies with

"well not entirely but knowing basic tricks will give you perks when doing advanced magic.

If you don't know the basics, doing the harder ones will be..well, harder."

However.

That outburst you had in Crutal Kingdom happened to every Electus before.

But not necessarily on their fire power like you."

Eric says

"You mean when my eyes lit up like fire?"

Mogranius repliee with

"Yes. That fire like glow represented your ident.i.ty. It represented Electus.

It represented the source of power. The source or shall i say sources where you got your powers."

Eric says

"Where do i get my powers?

Another Electus? My mother?"

Mogranius replies with

"Well your mother definetly has a connection here but a very small one.

The raw sources of power represnting the eight magical powers that exist, chose you.

"ELECTUS" means "The Chosen One".

You have been Chosen to wield all eight powers.

You are wielding a portion of power from each source."

Eric says

"Well that definetly sounds like a h.e.l.l load of power. Will i be able to handle it all?"

Mogranius replies with

"That outburst of such raw power tested your ability.

Your ability on how well you will handle them.

And since your own power didn't destroy you,

You handled them quite well.

I'm sure the sources are pleased."

Eric says

"That outburst was terrifyingly powerful.

I don't even know how i managed to handle all of it.

But i'm glad that outburst happened on my fire powers.

They proved quite useful against ill.u.s.tratios.

And also, who are the sources?"

Mogranius replies with

"It was indeed powerful. Bu don't expect more outbursts.

That is likely the only one you experienced or will experience.

The rest of your powers will be based on your practice.

And soon you will see that the rest of your powers can prove very useful as well.

Do not limit yourself with one power when you have the option for so much more.

And the sources. Well that's a bit complicated."

Eric says

"How complicated? I'm eager to know more.

Also, what side effects did fire witches and wizards have if "they weren't ready" apart from obvious hairloss."

Mogranius replies with a sarcastic tone

"Oh nothing to serious.

Teeth lost due to explosion, a few schools on fire, permanent unhealable burn marks.

You know, all the fun stuff.

But who knows. A certain mentor might make you experience a few of them."

Eric says

"Oh that won't be neccesary as i will shut my mouth now.

Let's get a fire going and learn that invisibility spell."

Mogranius replies with

"Yes yes good. Also about the source.

Even i am not certain who or what the sources are.

Akareas knew but she never revealed it.

Although i'm a bit sure that it is a non materialistic source."

Eric says

"Whatever the source might be, it does sound like there is a lot of it.

If Akareas discovered it, i'm sure i will as well."

Mogranius replies with

"Likely yes. But lets continue with the magic spell."

Then Garther shoots a small fireball on the campfire and lights it up.

Small hard to see smoke followed shortly after.

To Eric it seemed illogical how a grown man would hide on smoke just like that.

But of course him being the Electus seemed way illogical too so of course anything is possible.

Mogranius says

"See Eric. You need to connect with the smoke. You need to be one with it.

As it was a part of you. Like a part of your body."

Eric says

"But how do i do that? I can't grab the smoke can i?"

Mogranius replies with

"Well yes and no. The smoke will be around you but you won't just grab it.

You need to be one with the smoke. As you were smoke yourself.

Actually you practically become a source of smoke once you connect. So we don't need to light a campfire once we need to sneak in the Crutal Kingdom if that's what you were thinking."

Eric says

"I do get what you mean. But i still do not understand how i can connect with the actual smoke."

Mogranius replies with

"Watch and learn Child."
