The young princess looked at the two older women. Fayre was nodding, agreeing with what Zylvia had said, "Alright, so show him that I really am interested in him? How would I do that?"
Fayre frowned in thought, "Be honest with him, is what I would suggest. And don't contradict yourself."
Hazel nodded, "I need to tell him more explicitly?" She didn't doubt it...Asrar was an incredibly dense man.
"That is a start. You can't really get a relations.h.i.+p if you don't let him know you want one. But there is more to it as well." Fayre said gently.
"More to it?" Hazel furrowed her brow. How long would it take? She was willing to work for her beloved knight's affections but she was also a little impatient to achieve it.
"Well, love is both incredibly simple and extremely complicated." Lady Zylvia smiled, a gentle look in her eyes, "It needs to be cultivated and nurtured. And yet it can sprout from the simplest things." There was a look in the woman's eyes as if she was remembering something.
"...Okay anything else you would suggest?"
Zylvia gave a sharp nod. "If you want a relations.h.i.+p with a sorcerer, you have to accept what he is. He can't help it, sorcerers are born with magic."
Hazel had heard this before but had never really realized it was true. She could see why Asrar had been upset with her, and felt guilty. All the little things she had said against magic must have made him feel terrible. She still wasn't entirely comfortable with the idea of magic, but she trusted Asrar and knew that he would never hurt her. As such she could accept that he was a sorcerer, even if it had upset her.
"Of course, thankfully I care about him enough to accept everything about him. His moodiness and its cause."
The entire morning the two woman continued giving her relations.h.i.+p advice. It was truly surprising just how much Zylvia knew.
When they decided to eat something, Asrar joined them outside the door. He acted like she had not given him any reason to think she was interested in him. She wondered how long he could live in denial though.
Going into the dining hall, she saw Zylvia's husband, Kaldrek sitting. He was pouring over some book with a plate of half eaten food.
Zylvia sighed and shook her head, though she had a fond smile on her face. The woman walked over to her husband, and sat beside of him, "So how is work coming, my lord?"
She watched as the King's advisor jumped a little. He looked at his wife and an instantly brightened up, "Well enough, I needed to take a slight break though."
"Are you going to finish your food?" She was frowning at him. Sometimes Hazel found herself wondering at just how comfortable these two were with each other. She had noticed that their faces always seemed to light up whenever they saw each other, as if they enjoyed spending time together.
