"You are not my brother. I already told you so many times." A cold voice warned Xi Cheng but it didn't affect him.

"And I am sure you remember what I said when you said the same thing to me a few months back, little sister," said Xi Cheng.

Nix.x.xie remembered his words - 'Keep saying I am not your brother and one day I will really forget that you are not my sister.' The way he looked at her and the way he said it, that memory brought gooseb.u.mps on her entire body.

Seeing her frightened, Xi Cheng continued before Nix.x.xie could say anything. "Come back home with me. It's not good for you to be with a stranger."

Saying, he opened the door of the car for her, signaling her to sit inside and moved his sight towards Jiang Yuyan. "I am sure Mrs. Lu won't mind if I take my sister back home."

Jiang Yuyan felt something was wrong and wanted to stop him, but Nix.x.xie held her hand, stopping her from saying anything.

"Tell your brother that I went back home and not to worry about me," Nix.x.xie instructed and unwillingly Jiang Yuyan nodded.

Nix.x.xie sat inside the car and left with Xi Cheng. The reason she listened to him was, she was not worried about herself but Jiang Yang. She knew her step-brother was a crazy person who won't hesitate to harm anyone.

As he personally came to take her back home, knowing she would be with Jiang Yang, then he must be determined to take her back. Not going with him at the moment was as good as provoking the devil.

She didn't want anyone to be in danger just because of her, even if she had to bear the presence of the person she hated the most all her life.

When Nix.x.xie left, just in a while, Jiang Yang arrived there. Stepping out of the car, he went to Jiang Yuyan, who was standing there alone with her bodyguard standing at some distance.

"Where is Nix.x.xie? Is she upset that I am late?" Jiang Yang asked, not having a clue about what had just happened.

"She left." Jiang Yuyan answered, feeling worried about her friend.

"Left? Where? I am not that late." Jiang Yang asked.

"Her brother came and took her back home."

Hearing it, all the colors on Jiang Yang's face flew away. He closed his eyes and exhaled out, as knowing the fact p.i.s.sed him off. Not reacting much in front of his sister, he asked, "Why are you still here? Where is Lu Qiang?"

"He is on the way."

"I need to leave. Will you be fine alone?"

"Don't worry. You can leave as I am not alone." Saying, Jiang Yuyan pointed towards the bodyguard and Jiang Yang felt relieved. Saying bye, he left in a hurry to go to the Xi residence. He didn't want Nix.x.xie to be alone with Xi Cheng under the same roof when her parents were not around.

Jiang Yuyan understood his brother's worry and didn't stop him, but she felt worried for him as she sensed the situation was not right with these three- Nix.x.xie, Jiang Yang and Xi Cheng. Also, she knew Xi Cheng was not a good person. She waited for Lu Qiang to arrive as soon as possible and to tell him what had just happened.

When Lu Qiang arrived, seeing her upset and worried, he asked, "What made you look so sad?"

Jiang Yuyan narrated what happened a while ago and Lu Qiang comforted her. "Don't worry. Your brother would be fine. Don't underestimate him thinking he is just a doctor."

"That man looked scary."

"Hmm! He is, but your brother can handle him, trust me. Let's go now."

Lu Qiang made her sit inside the car and they left. When they reached home, Lu Qiang asked Lu Lijun and Jiang Yuyan to go inside and stayed out to go to the garden. He pulled out his mobile and made a call. In a cold voice, he just said a few lines and hung up the call.

In Xi residence…

when Jiang Yang reached there, a guard stopped him.

Jiang Yang looked at him coldly. "You dare to stop the son-in-law of this house. I wonder what my mother-in-law will do when she will get to know her dear son-in-law was getting treated like this."

Jiang Yang was ready to face this situation as Xi Cheng took Nix.x.xie back, so he had to act like this.

The guard was aware of who Jiang Yang was and what was his relations.h.i.+p with Nix.x.xie. Though he was following Xi Cheng's order, he couldn't mess with Song Meilin's person, after all, she was the main owner of this household. The guard made a way for Jiang Yang to go inside and instructed other guards to do the same.

When Jiang Yang reached inside the living room, Xi Cheng was sitting on the sofa. Seeing Jiang Yang, he gave out an evil smile and commented. "I knew, you will make it inside even if I put an army around my home."

"If you knew it then what was the use of putting on a show?" Saying Jiang Yang sat on the sofa, exactly opposite to Xi Cheng. He looked fearless and calm.

"Just to test the water before playing with it," Xi Cheng replied calmly, but his eyes said how annoyed he was to see Jiang Yang in front of him.

"If you are done testing, I would like to take my woman back." Jiang Yang said, not hesitating to claim Nix.x.xie as his woman.

"I don't remember seeing your woman around here." Said Xi Cheng, as he underestimated Jiang Yang.

"Right, because my woman is your sister. So sad." Jiang Yang intentionally rubbed salt on Xi Cheng's wounds as he was aware of Xi Cheng's intentions towards Nix.x.xie.

Jiang Yang's words affected Xi Cheng, but being an expert in hiding his inner self, he didn't show it and continued to be stubborn.
