The Writer's Romance 38 Meeting

"I am sorry for the inconvenience!"

Cha smiles but she suddenly winks at Mr. White while Sheen is fixing her clothes.

"I didn't know you work for him, Sheen. But I am glad you did!"

Cha waves goodbye as Sheen watches her leaving.

"I will raise your pay for today as well, thank you, Miss Sheen."

Mr. White went inside the car and Sheen just followed with a wide smile with the raise she's getting.

"Let's go, I only have 2 minutes, they can wait for an extra five minutes but exceeding time won't be good for me," Mr. White messages Dan to talk with the board while he's on his way.

"Mr. White, is it really okay for me to have the gown?"

Sheen held the paper bag which has the gown closed.

It still feels uncomfortable for her since it is Cha's wedding gown.

It's as if she's having another thing from Cha, like Kady.

"Yes, they intend to give it to someone, Cha really didn't like the design, she just tells that to avoid any problems."

Now that Sheen thinks of it, Cha loves revealing dresses and this one is too modest for her.

"By the way, Miss Sheen, are you not really going to partic.i.p.ate in the said nomination? You're not going to write?"

Mr. White looks at her with an expression that she should partic.i.p.ate in.

"Uh, no... I think I will pa.s.s. I really can't write anything."

She sighs and looks outside the window.

"Well, if you change your mind, just tell me and I'll give you time to write."

"Thank you, Sir. You're so considerate."

As the car stops to let the pedestrian pa.s.s, Sheen's eyes got wide with the people she saw.

Cha is with Elgeen, Blue, Wyn and...

"Kady?"

She whispers.

Mr. White heard her and he looks at where she is staring at.

"Mr. Kady, what a view."

He smirks.

"Mr. Rogers, please drive faster."

As Sheen watch them pa.s.s in front of them, she was about to get down but the stoplight turned green and they drove too fast that she got pushed back.

"Were you going down, Miss Sheen? Is there a problem?"

Mr. White checks his e-mails.

"No. Nothing, Sir."

If only Sheen knew, how possessive her childhood friend is.

Mr. White texted Dan to check on Kady's appearance in their city while Sheen messages Wyn.

"Hey, are you here in the city?"

She asks and immediately turned off her phone when they arrived at the company.

Mr. White hurriedly went inside the elevator and Sheen just follows.

"Miss Sheen, can you tell me what kind of a person your previous boss is?"

Sheen looks at him in shock, 'Why is he curious?'

Mr. White is standing in front of her and she can't see his face properly.

Glancing is too obvious to do so she decided to answer.

"He's strict, hard-working, professional, irritating, arrogant, good for not--"

She covered her mouth and turned red.

'What am I saying? It's displeasing to say those things about a boss!'

"And?"

Mr White asks.

"Sir? Well, uh, he's... uh, a good friend."

'Why is he still curious even though I said mean things?'

"I see, then, we have an appointment with him later. I hope you can help me deal with him."

Mr. White's tone is somewhat saying a different thing when he said 'Dea with him.'

Sheen's brows furrow but she didn't bother to ask what he meant.

The meeting went smoothly even though Mr. White's 3 minutes late.

Dan a.s.sisted Mr. White while Sheen was told to arrange a place for Kady and Mr. White's meeting.

"Where? I don't know this place!"

Sheen moans as she browses restaurants and cafes for the two men to meet at.

"Why? What's the problem?"

Bea suddenly appeared with boxes in her hands.

"Let's have lunch," she puts the boxes down on the desks and takes a sit.

"Well, a meeting place for the arrogant guy and for Mr. White."

Bea stops from opening the food and stared at Sheen.

"You mean, he's here?"

Sheen nods and sighs.

"Well, if that's the case, go to Ruth Palace, it's a very good restaurant for elites to meet in. Slap to that guy's face that Mr. White can provide you anything you want."

"What? Why me?"

Sheen searched for the place and it is really royalty worth place.

"I don't know, but I tell you, don't agree with whatever he says about you."

"Why?"

"Because he might boast out about knowing you better than Mr. White."

"Hm, your imagination's running wild again."

But Bea was right.

They are now in the restaurant and Kady keeps on telling Mr. White things about her.

"She's really a bookworm! I'm glad she's not taking her work hours reading now, Mr. White."

Kady smirks while sipping his wine.

'I hate you.'

Sheen cracks her knuckles while glaring at Kady.

"No, not really. Miss Sheen is very hardworking. She spends her working hours... working. She doesn't slacks off. She does things in the way I wanted. She exceeds my expectations and... you can rely on her."

Mr. White smiled at Sheen.

She suddenly blushed and lowered her head.

She can feel Kady's stare but didn't care.

"Is that so?"

His tone sounds like he's mocking.

"Then, let's talk about the partners.h.i.+p..."

They started talking about business at last.

Sheen just take down notes and reminds Mr. White of things that may be affected with some decisions.

"Then it's settled, thank you for lending me your time, Mr. White."

They shake hands and Sheen was about to walk when Kady reached out his hand.

She almost forgot that this is a formal meeting, she have to shake his hand as a respect.

Sheen was hesitant at first but Kady advanced his hand and took hers and shakes it.

Though Sheen shock at first but when she saw Mr. White smiling at her, it somehow felt normal like she's shaking hands with a business partner.

Mr. White's phone suddenly rang and he excused himself.

Kady just looks at Sheen while she takes her things and is about to follow Mr. White when Kady pulls her hand.

"Stop it," Sheen said in a low voice.

"I don't want to do anything with you now, I have to follow my BOSS."

Kady's grip tightens, he doesn't want to let go of her now.

Not again.

"We will see each other again, and I hope we will have a good talk then."

But not right now.

Not now where a man is watching them with his piercing stare.

"Good bye, Sir," she said and then left.

"You like him? That man? If only you knew what he did with a teenager before," Kady smirks as he watch Sheen get inside the car with Mr. White.

Since it's already late, Mr. White called for Cj's nanny to look after him.

They are to go home already but the streets are too busy that they can't even drive a meter.

"Ugh, I hate traffic," Sheen whispers.

"I do too," Mr. White agreed as they both watch the life of the city pa.s.s by in the window.

Even though they were in a restaurant, they didn't eat that much and Sheen's feeling hungry again.

'No, don't shout,' she said as she holds he stomach.

But the force of the inner monster can't be stop.

Her stomach growls and it's loud enough for Mr. White to hear.

She just covers her face as she wishes for the G.o.ds to take her away.

"Mr. Rogers, let's stop by IED."

Mr. Rogers just nod and Sheen looks at Mr. White, surprised.

"No, Sir. I am fine. It's just muscle contraction, Sir."

Sheen blushes but Mr. White didn't look at her.

"Sir..."

Her stomach growls once again which made her shut up as they turn left to go the fast food.

'This is embara.s.sing,' Sheen thought.

Mr. White is ordering foods inside the fast food as Mr. Rogers and she wait in the car.

"You don't need to be shy, Mr. White doesn't like it when someone is hungry."

Mr. Rogers is wiping the front gla.s.s with a cloth, "That's ironic for him," Sheen chuckles.

"Oh, not himself. That someone is Cj or you," Mr. Rogers smile's can be reflected by the gla.s.s.

She felt the heat run up her face once again, 'I have to check my blood pressure, it seems like something is wrong with me.'

"You don't have to be afraid, Mr. White is a very kind person. I know you know that."

Sheen looks at Mr. Rogers confused, "If you think he is very distant, please don't hesitate to run to him," Mr. Rogers added.

'This old man is really trying to say something to me,' Sheen raises her eyebrows and is about to ask Mr. Rogers but Mr. White suddenly appeared carrying paper bags.
