The Writer's Romance 39 Break Down

"What's the weird face about, Miss Sheen?" Mr. White asks. Sheen can smell the fries and fried chicken from the bag and her stomach once again grumbled.

Mr. Rogers laughs when he heard it but Mr. White just hurriedly takes out the food and gave it to her, "Why do people change when they're hungry, Mr. Rogers? She seemed confused earlier," Mr. White asks while giving Mr. Rogers his coffee.

The old man didn't want to eat and just wanted something to drink.

Sheen didn't even pay attention to what they're talking about and began digging in.

Mr. White just ordered fries and as he eats, he can't stop looking at Sheen who's eating inside the car while he and Mr. Rogers are standing outside leaning on the car.

'Why do you have to fall for that man? I shouldn't have left that time, don't worry, I won't leave you anymore,' Mr. White thought while glancing at Sheen.

When Sheen finished eating, they hurriedly went home.

She noticed that Mr. White had bought a take-out for Cj, "Sir, I am telling this as a concerned friend of Cj, it's not good if you're always letting him eat in fast foods, it's bad for his health," she explained.

Mr. White just looks at her. It made her feel like she shouldn't have said that and she sits comfortably and looked outside the window.

"Thank you for the concern, Miss Sheen. And, thank you for taking good care of Cj," Sheen got surprised, it took Mr. White a while before answering.

She looks at him with wide cheerful eyes, but he's just looking outside the window.

'You're bashful, huh?' Sheen smiled at him.

Mr. Rogers just watches them while smiling, 'I hope you can complete him, Miss Sheen,' the old man thought before stopping in front of the condominium.

"Good night, Mr. Rogers," Sheen and Mr. White bids goodbye to their kind driver.

"Hey, Mr. White," Sheen called while she's following her boss inside the building.

"I'll cook breakfast again tomorrow, I promised Cj to cook for you guys," Sheen said while she checks the time.

"This is not a part of your job, Miss Sheen," Mr. White replied.

They are on the elevator now, Sheen suddenly froze.

Mr. White's words made her feel uneasy again.

She can't understand it.

"What do you mean, Sir?" Sheen scaredly asks.

"I'll be forward then," Mr. White turns to her and looks deeply into her eyes.

He took a step forward while Sheen unconsciously steps back.

"I won't raise your pay for that action," Mr. White said in a husky voice, making Sheen blush.

He took another step forward and she takes a step backward.

"Sir?" Sheen asks while fakely smiling.

'What's happening? Is he drunk? We didn't drink alcohol,' Sheen thought.

"But if you continue being CJ's mom, I might be able to pay you in other ways," Mr. White said as he stares into Sheen's eyes intently.

Sheen's already leaning on the wall, there's only 3 inches apart from her face to Mr. White's face.

She felt her face heat up while her heart began to throb.

She bites the inside of her mouth, 'What does he mean, pay me in other ways?' she thought.

'And can't he be more romantic? In this type of scene, the guy is supposed to corner the female lead while his hands block the way. Mr. White's just standing there, his hands on his pockets and holding the suitcase,' Sheen's thought made her blush even more and the heat is almost suffocating.

'Pay in another way... Does he mean, THAT pay?" Sheen though of some *beep* actions.

She didn't even break the eye contact but the moment the elevator beeped and open, signaling that they are on their floor, she hurriedly ran.

"Good night, Sir!" She shouted while running.

"What happened to her, I thought she's going to answer about the pay," Mr. White walks out of the elevator while watching Sheen running.

"But her reaction's very... beautiful," He smiled while remembering Sheen's blus.h.i.+ng and confused face.

'Have Kady seen that expression before?' He asks himself while entering his condominium.

The lights are turned off and the nanny has left a note saying that Cj's asleep.

While Mr. White looks around, he can sense the loneliness of the room.

His son is lonely.

He is lonely.

But when Sheen stayed for breakfast, everything seemed to be happy.

Cj can't stop smiling.

He can't stop feeling happy while watching Sheen and his son eat together.

"Am I being needy?" Mr. White asks while taking a shower.

His hair is dripping water then it flows down his fit body.

'Is this longing?' he thought while remembering the moment they are all eating together with Sheen.

Sheen, on her bed, rolls back and forth while covering herself with the quilt.

"WHY DID I THINK OF *beep* WHEN HE SAID PAY?" Her blush can't be redder.

"And why did I wanted him to be romantic? I don't want an office romance..." she said.

But Kady's face flashed into her mind and her blush suddenly appeared and tears suddenly formed.

"Why does he still look perfect?"

She is still longing.

But she doesn't want him anymore.

She's just missing the Kady that she loved who is now dead.

The people they were in the past are nowhere to be found.

Even her, she changed.

As she wipes her tears, her mom suddenly called her.

"What time is it, you're still awake?" Sheen sits up and held the pillow.

"Mom?" Her mom's voice can't be heard because of her sobs.

"Mom! What happened?" Sheen worriedly asks.

"What? That... what the f**k is wrong with them! We cut all our connections with them already!"

The business that his father is handling is being put down by their greedy relatives.

Even though their family broke the relation after what happened with Sheen, they are still putting themselves in.

"Me?" She repeated what her mother said.

They want her.

Again.

Sheen remembers the pain she felt while they manipulatively use her.

"They said they want you, if you don't help them, the business will fall and they will make sure no one will take us in jobs if you won't cooperate," her mother said in between sobs.

Again.

They are putting her into a tight situation again.

Where no choice can be made.

"Don't worry, Mom. I'll fix this," she said before turning off the call.

Her tears stream down with her noticing.

She bites her lips, "WHY CAN'T I JUST DIE!" she shouted while covering her face with people.

She feels like she's the reason why her parents suffer.

If she does not exist, there won't be any problem.

She fell asleep with tears in her eyes.

She cried hard to ease the pain until her head ached and sleep consumed her.

The next morning, her puffy eyes can't be hidden, so she decided to wear sungla.s.ses.

She cooked breakfast and brought it to Mr. White's condo.

"Good morni---" Cj opens the door with a wide smile and bed hair.

But he stops when he saw Sheen wearing sungla.s.ses.

He felt that something is wrong.

He just watches as Sheen went to the kitchen.

Mr. White just woke up, he saw Sheen enter while he's on the balcony, going down to the dining area.

"What's wrong with her, Dad?" Cj went to him and asks while whispering.

'Is it because of Kady?' He thought.

Any adult will know why a person will wear sungla.s.ses when there's no sun, especially inside a building.

Mr. White went to the kitchen, Sheen didn't even greet him.

He went to her and put his hand on the food containers to stop her from preparing the food.

But she left the food and went to get plates.

Mr. White followed but she didn't stop.

Sheen was about to get milk but Mr. White closed the fridge and finally, he pinned down Sheen on the fridge with his hand.

But Sheen didn't feel anything.

She's numb.

She's hurt.

Mr. White took the sungla.s.ses off.

He was shocked to see her puffy red eyes and still, she's tearing up.

Sheen can't look into his eyes, but when he took a glance, Mr. White's worried and caring eyes made her cry.

She felt as if someone really cares.

Someone can listen.

Someone can help.

Someone can free her from the chains.

Sheen rests her head on Mr. White's chest while she didn't stop sobbing hard.

Mr. White was shocked at first but he later hugged and pat Sheen's back.

"Go on, just let it out," he said whispering.

It pierced his heart hearing Sheen's cry.

He used to make her cry before when they were kids, but he'll later apologize.

But now, someone else is making her cry.

He wants that person to apologize.

Cj suddenly felt emotional and started crying but he hugged Sheen as well.

Mr. White smiled sadly.

After a few minutes, Sheen stops.

She looks sleepy and tired.

Mr. White looks at Cj who's wiping his tears.

"Cj, you don't have cla.s.s, right?" Mr. White asks while patting Cj's head.

He just shakes his head and smiled.

While Sheen's still in his arms, "Call Dan, tell him I'm not going to work."

Cj ran upstairs to call Dan on Mr. White's phone.

Sheen didn't move an inch from his embrace.

His s.h.i.+rt's all wet but he didn't mind as long as Sheen will be alright.

He didn't even speak which made Sheen feel like he understands.

No one can describe her feelings.

And she just needs someone who will listen to her cries.

Mr. White knows that she'll tell him what happened when she's ready.

She later wrapped her arms around Mr. White and tightens the hug, surprising Mr. White.

He smiled as he rests his chin on Sheen's head, hoping they can stay like this longer.

Cj wanted to leave them be but he grew jealous and broke them apart.

"Hey! You're hugging her too much, hug me too, mommy!" Sheen looked at Cj, while still hugging Mr. White.

She smiled at him, her eyes can almost be covered by her puffy eye bags.

She bends her knees and kissed Cj's cheeks.

Cj blushed while smirking at his Dad to make him jealous.

"I am alright, Sir. You can't skip work," Sheen said while brus.h.i.+ng Cj's hair.

"Saying that after crying that hard," Mr. White looks at his s.h.i.+rt and looks at Sheen.

"What! I am sorry, okay! I'll wash that for you," Sheen offered while blus.h.i.+ng.

"Then, take it off of me," Mr. White looks at her with a poker face.

"What are you saying? Cj's here."

"Shoo," Mr. White gestured Cj to go out but he didn't.

"You're a pervert," Cj commented, "I'm hungry, Mommy."

Sheen suddenly s.h.i.+fted her focus on Cj, "Oh, come on, sit down, let's eat."

Mr. White watches Sheen while preparing, "Let's go to the aquapark, you love marine animals, right, Sheen?"

Sheen looks at him with sparkling eyes and nodding head.

Cj and Mr. White laugh, "You're so cute, Mommy!" Cj said.

"Everyone loves aquatic animals!" Sheen shyly says as they all begin to eat.

"Dad doesn't," Cj naughtily answered.

"What? Why? I thought you like them? You always go with me before in aquapark."

"No, he doesn't. He just with you because he lik---"

"Shut your mouth, you filthy racc.o.o.n, I don't have a son who speaks while eating," Mr. White suddenly grew terrifying that even Sheen shuts up and eats silently.

"I don't like them, but I love looking at them," Mr. White excused.

'Then you like them if that's the case,' Sheen thought.

'Why don't you just tell her you like her?' Cj thought.

Both of them are watching Mr. White eat then chuckled.

"Hm?" Mr. White looks at them confused.
