The Writer's Romance 40 Aquapark

"What are we doing in the airport, Mr. White?" Sheen asks.

After eating breakfast, Mr. White called Mr. Rogers to take them to the airport.

Mr. White is wearing casual clothes which Sheen is not used to.

She can't stop staring at Mr. White's face, he's wearing gla.s.ses and it really fits him.

Sheen didn't notice that Cj's looking at her while he's staring at his father.

He smiled and took a photo of him on his camera.

"We are going to aquapark, right?" He said while looking outside.

"But the park is in the opposite direction and we are at the airport!" Sheen shouted while they are walking in the runway.

There is a private jet waiting for them, the wind is too strong and it makes them hard to hear each other.

Cj holds Sheen's hand while Mr. White is talking to someone which seems like the pilot.

The guards help them get in the jet, "What is happening?" Sheen screamed.

Mr. White is sitting in front of her while Cj's beside him.

The plane is starting to take off.

"Ahhhh!" Cj screamed as his ears became painful.

Sheen remembered she did feel that way before during travels with her relatives, she frowns while taking out a gum out of her bag.

"Here, chew this," Sheen said while handing Cj the gum.

Since he can't take it, Mr. White took it from Sheen and takes off the wrapper.

"Can you tell me where we are going, Mr. White?" Sheen asks again while worriedly looks at the teary eye Cj while chewing the gum.

"I am not impressed in the aquapark we have in the city, so I plan on visiting the next city where they say have the biggest aquapark which has 80 cla.s.s of marine animals," Mr. White said while wiping Cj's tears.

As the signs turn off, Cj immediately takes his seatbelts off and ran to Sheen.

He hugged her tight, "It hurts," Cj cries fake.

Sheen just smiled and pats Cj's back, "Stop that acting, you've been chewing that gum for too long, spit it out," Mr. White said.

'You're still a baby,' Sheen said.

"But that takes 6 hours travel," Sheen said while taking a sip of water, her ear did grow a bit painful too.

"But it only takes 1 hour in the air," Mr. White said.

The whole hour was spent by Sheen sleeping.

Cj tried to wake her up but Mr. White stops him, "She's tired."

Cj looks at the puffy eyes of Sheen and he suddenly felt sad.

"Is she okay?" He asks.

"Yes, she will be. Now, why don't you take a great photo of your handsome father? Mr. Rogers, let's take a photo," Mr. White called Mr. Rogers from the other side of the aisle.

"Yes, Sir," The old man stands up and stands beside Mr. White.

The posed too formal and it made Cj almost puke, "Can you do something funny? Wacky?"

Mr. White and Mr. Rogers look at each other, Mr. White made a heart finger sign while Mr. Rogers made a peace sign.

Cj giggles as he takes photos.

Mr. Rogers smiles genuinely while thinking, 'This feels like a family vacation.'

They arrived and Mr. White shakes Sheen carefully, "Miss Sheen, we've arrived."

Sheen groans with her headache, she slowly opens her eyes and jolted when she saw Mr. White's handsome face.

She immediately wipes her eyes if there's dirt and drinks water just in case her breath is bad due to sleeping.

"Seems like you're fully awake," Mr. White said while watching Sheen move fast.

He leaves Sheen to talk to Mr. Roger while she held her hand close to her chest.

She feels as if her heart will flee from her chest.

Cj took a photo of her silently.

Seems like she doesn't notice Cj's presence and shakes her head to clear her thoughts of Mr. White's face.

"Let's go, the car will be here, Mr. Rogers took it already," Mr. White said.

Sheen got surprised by his voice making her blush again.

Cj just smiles as he took a photo of Sheen blus.h.i.+ng with Mr. White in the background with a peace sign.

They got out of the plane and rode the limousine, "Wow, where did you get this, Clark?" Sheen asks.

Mr. White suddenly can't hold his smile, Cj immediately took a photo of him.

"Is something wrong?" Sheen got confused with his smile.

"Nothing, I was just shocked to hear you say my first name again," he said.

Sheen blushed again, her face can't get its temperature lower with how Mr. White acts.

Since she realized she's hugging him earlier, she can't keep calm around him.

"We live here!" Cj says to break the weird atmosphere between his father's smiling face and Sheen's blush.

"You do? I see, you only live in the condominium because it is near the company, right?"

"Yes, I do not want to travel every day and that is a trouble for Cj," Mr. White said.

"So, are we going to the aquapark now?" Sheen asks excitedly.

"Yes, then we're staying the night at our house. We'll go home tomorrow morning," Mr. White said while Sheen was overflowing with joy when he said 'yes' but she just looks at him dumbfounded with what he said after.

She didn't know what his plans are and just said yes to aquapark.

"Is that a problem, Miss Sheen?" Mr. White asks, he noticed Sheen just froze without saying anything.

"Yes, but I can't do anything about it anyways," she said sighing.

Cj laughs while Mr. White smiles, 'We can have you for ourselves for the whole day,' they both thought.

They arrived at the aquapark and the moment they got out, people started looking and whispering.

Sheen just looks at the Mr. White and Cj getting out of the very expensive car extravagantly.

Who wouldn't look when people who looks rich with their clothes getting out of a limousine?

While Sheen just looks like the a.s.sistant she is, wearing square pants blouse and heels.

"Let's go!" Cj shouted while running towards the entrance.

"I'll call you," Mr. White said to Mr. Rogers before walking towards her, "Aren't you excited?" he asks.

Sheen feels excited, but every time she sees Mr. White's face, she feels abnormally excited.

He started walking and she follows with a wide smile.

They visited the dolphins, sharks, walrus, and other marine animals they can get to visit for the remaining time the park is open.

But for the last, the first Narwhals that has been in a successful captivity.

All of them stare at the majestic mammal with it's horn swimming peacefully.

"They had a hard time keeping Narwhals in captivity since most die after a few months, but these two Narwhal, has been kept for three years already," Mr. White said, amazed by the creatures.

"So this is the reason why you wanted to go here?" Sheen asks while Cj takes photo of them with their expression like a child seeing the first animal in their life.

"Yes," Mr. White answered.

While they are watching the animal swim, Sheen suddenly got a call, she excused her self and answered the unknown caller.

"Yes, who is this?" She answered.

"You know who," the voice said.

Sheen stops walking and froze.

"h.e.l.lo, dearest niece, how are you?" His uncle said.

"My, not answering?"

Sheen can't speak.

She can't even think straight.

Fear crept in.

She felt s.h.i.+vers while hearing his horrifying voice.

"What do you want?" Sheen asks in a faint shaking voice.

Mr. White saw her, she has her back facing them, but he can see that she's hugging herself.

And he knows she does that when she's afraid.

He remembers how she used to do that when she saw a dead cat in the playground when they were young.

"You know what, Mr. White... He's your boss, right?"

Sheen's eyes grew wide.

It's him they want this time.

It was Kady before, now her childhood friend.

"Make him our business partner, then we're done. We'll leave you alone."

Sheen's nails are almost piercing her arm with her grip as she grinds her teeth.

"You won't talk? Okay, I want to have an appointment with him tomorrow morning, if you can't do that, expect to see your father's business fall into dust."

Her uncle said before turning off the call.

Her tears suddenly stream down.

The aquapark already said they are closing, people are already walking out and some saw her crying.

They looked at her which caught Mr. White's attention.

He held Cj's hand and they walk towards Sheen, but before they can get near her, she has wiped her tears and smiled while turning around.

"Why?" She asks them, shock to see that they are just a few meters away.

"What happened, Dad?" Cj asks.

Mr. White was sure that there is something wrong when he saw her sobbing but here she is, smiling at them like nothing happened.

"Nothing, I was just going to call Sheen," he said.

Cj knew something happened with how his father held his hand tight with a worried face while looking at Sheen earlier.

"Okay, let's go home!" Cj said then held Sheen's hand.

"Okay," Sheen started walking out with Cj.

As they get far, Mr. White grew more suspicious of who she was talking with, "What happened?" he asks himself.
