After eating, they cleaned the place and are preparing to go home.

Dan and Bea yawns while waving Cj goodbye.

Only Clark and Mr. Rogers had a good sleep among them.

"Promise, we'll get you a present," Dan said to Cj and left.

"We'll get going, see you tomorrow, Cj," Sheen said and followed Dan outside.

"Happy birthday, Cj. Thank you, Mr. White," Wyn said and forced a smile.

He's still feeling about Sheen.

Kady looks at him weirdly as he says his thanks, "Thank you, Mr. White. Happy birthday, Cj. See you at the Guandemo banquet."

Clark and Cj just nod, both of them are criticizing the friends of Sheen while they leave.

"Kady seems to be friends with Mommy, Daddy. But they were crying last night," Cj said as the door in front of them closes.

"We don't need to meddle with Sheen's life, she's just a friend and an a.s.sistant."

Those descriptive words for Sheen seem to be a boundary for Clark.

He can't pry into Sheen's life just because he feels like it.

Not because they are always together doesn't mean that he can judge people around her.

"Hey, Wyn," Sheen called.

She waited for Kady and Wyn to get out of Clark's s.p.a.ce outside to talk.

She can't just leave while feeling bad.

She can't do it again.

It only leads to heavier thoughts.

Kady looks at Sheen, she looks serious to talk with Wyn.

"Wyn, I'll go first. I have something to do," Kady waves goodbye and smiled at them.

Sheen sighs while thinking that she just had a heart to heart talk with Kady last night and both of them acts and feels like nothing happened.

But she's glad that they are friends again.

Acting like before.

No awkwardness.

No embarra.s.sment.

She smiles unconciously but she suddenly felt her face heat up when she realized that Wyn's standing in front of her.

"Um," Sheen started.

Wyn's staring at the floor to avoid Sheen's eyes.

He can't take it if she's frowning or sad.

It hurts him so bad.

Especially that he might be the reason.

"Wyn."

"Wyn..."

"Hey, Gerwyn!" Sheen yelled.

Wyn still didn't look at her.

"Okay, now I feel like I'm bullying a kid, look at me," Sheen said and took Wyn's face to look at her.

"Oh my, don't cry! Wyn, oh my gosh," Sheen panics while looking at Wyn's teary eyes.

Wyn just feels sleepy but seems like Sheen thought he's crying which made him laugh.

"I'm just sleepy, Sheen. Don't worry!" Wyn pats Sheen's head.

She looks at him with blank eyes, she's worrying for nothing.

"Sheen, I'm sorry. I know you're tired and I shouldn't have annoyed you. So, please, hear me out."

Wyn's face went serious, he's staring deeply into Sheen's eyes while he clenches his fist behind his back.

"Okay..." Sheen answered and folded her hands close to her chest and nods.

"Please let me... stay with you," Wyn ate his words and spits different one.

'Please let me court you,' Wyn sighs.

He can't say those words easily.

He already said that he's just a friend but he can't stop feeling what his heart wants.

He's afraid that he'll be friendzone, which he is actually in now.

But to hear it directly, it will cause a direct hit to his heart.

He's already planning to take over their family's company and he'll soon be worthy for Sheen.

He will just wait until then.

"Yeah, why not?" Sheen smiles, "Forget about what I said earlier. I was just shocked. But please continue talking to me, Wyn."

Wyn nods, "Then, goodbye, see you at the banquet. If you're not comfortable with Kady, tell me and I'll pick you up."

"Yeah."

Sheen waves him goodbye, leaving her standing alone in the hallway.

'Guandemo? I really can't believe my relatives arranged me in marriage with Prescott Guandemo! I was only 10 that time, it's disgusting!' Sheen s.h.i.+vers while thinking about it.

She never saw how he looks like.

How old he is.

All she knew was she's engaged after she confessed to Kady.

A memory she already forgot.

But no one knows about it aside from her, the relatives and the Guandemos.

Even those poor gossip producing family were tricked by Sheen's relatives.

'Ah~ what will be my book's cover? And gosh, I hated the main character! Why did I let them end up together? Should I change it?'

Sheen thought as she went inside her s.p.a.ce.

Everyone acted as if nothing dangerous happened.

The highlight became Cj's birthday party.

She's too exhausted from worrying but Cj ran outside like he just won a game earlier.

Sheen chuckles, "What gift should I buy for Cj tomorrow?"

Her phone suddenly rang.

She picks it up with a smile.

"Hey, Mom!"

She almost forgot she just had a problem which concerns her parent.

Everything went by fast and a lot happened.

It made her sigh as she sits down by the couch.

"Yes, I asked my boss to help. No worries, you will be shock if you know who my boss is."

"Who?" Her mother's voice is full of suspicion.

"It's... Clark! The kid you said would replace me as your kid if I ever die?"

She suddenly felt uncomfortable, she just realized how harsh her mother was.

"Yes... The kid that always plays with us."

"Oh my, I should thank him personally. I missed that kid, can I igo there on sat.u.r.day?"

"Oh, yeah.. But we have something to do that day so I think he won't be able to see you."

"It's fine, I'll visit him when he's free. I'll stay there for a while since I have to meet with some friends."

"I see, okay! How's dad's business?"

"It's fine. Everything went back to normal when your uncle was arrested."

"I see. Then, see you on Sat.u.r.day."

Her mother was the one who cut the call.

Sheen stares at her phone.

She really wanted a parent-child relations.h.i.+p where you can clearly see and feel the affection between them but she's not blessed with that.

Her parents are too busy working and even let her live with her relatives which only used her.

The distance is too far to even travel back to being sweet like she was when she's very young.

I love you is not a norm to say.

It hurts her to realize that her relations.h.i.+p with her parents is not something you can boast proudly.

She sighs and lays on the couch.

"I think I'll change the ending," she said and stands up and ran to her room to change her book's ending.
