Oddity Of Fate 5 Fourth Par

Fredo goes to Alpha Fraternity House. He is filing a members.h.i.+p form. Terrence, the current president of fraternity, talked to him privately.

He said, "We don't accept a sissy in this house."

Fredo replied him sternly, "I am not a sissy. Look, my Dad is an alumni of this fraternity. I wanted to live in my Dad's legacy."

Terrence said, "I already heard stories like that before. And, they failed during the initiation. You belong to that loser group. You are also a friend of that weirdo guy named Daniel."

Fredo explained, "Yes. I guess I belong to somewhat you called "loser". But, I would prove to you that I am not one of them. I am far different from them. If you are referring to Daniel, I would tell you that we are now no longer friends. I hate him because he is the cause of my failure during the first day of school."

Terrence admired him, "Welcome to the club! Since we are in the same side, My Dad and I would sponsor your members.h.i.+p. Congratulations! Only determined people like you can have the sponsors.h.i.+p from the alumni of this fraternity."

Fredo can't believe of what he heard, "I don't know what to say. By the way, thanks."

Fredo hurried to go to his dorm to pack up his things. His room mate, Daniel, saw him packing. He started to get confused.

Daniel said, "Am I drunk or I am just seeing you packing up your things? Why do you need to do this?"

Fredo started to get furious, "I am joining the frat. I am sick and tired living in the past. I wanted to move on. I wanted to enjoy life like other people. I am also tired to be treated like an underdog. I have dreams, Daniel. I would prove it to you that I can achieve my dreams without any help from you or my other friends. I am also tired to be the second best."

Daniel remarked, "What a lousy speech! Now get out of here and I don't want to see another coward like you again. Go! Join your elite fraternity of yours!"

And then, Giselle was in her dorm. Talked to her mom on phone. She is also started to pack up her things. When Lilet entered the room, Giselle saw her with other companions, Lovely Jane and Patricia Liberty.

Giselle said, "How clueless am I! Are they your new best friends now? Wow!"

Patricia Liberty sarcastically said, "Don't be too hard on her. It's not her fault. She is just making the right choice. She was starting to make new friends. And, you became a failure because you put all your blames on her."

Giselle talked back, "Oh, yeah! Why are you telling me that? Are you Oprah Winfrey?"

Lovely Jane interrupted Pat, "Cut it out, Pat. She is hopeless. She cannot even dress herself up properly. Look at her lousy make-up."

Patricia Liberty agreed, "Oh yeah. She came from a small town and follow the Gothic fas.h.i.+on statement. "

Lilet tried to console her friend, "Oh, I am so sorry about what happened to you. I can talk to my parents to help you in your situation."

Giselle said, "No need. They would hate me like others."

After Giselle packed her things up, tears are flowing from her eyes. She hugged Lilet, "Goodbye, my old friend. Say h.e.l.lo to your new world. You can keep on without me."

And then, she left. Patricia Liberty and Lovely Jane started laughing.

Lovely Jane remarked, "I knew she is a lesbian."

Patricia Liberty agreed, "She is overly dramatic for a Gothic girl."

Lilet sat on the couch and started to cry, "Why does this fate keep breaking us apart?"

Lovely Jane tried to console her, "You know, what? I lost my friend too. But, I made the right choice. And then, I met Pat. And, we're become friends."

On the next day at the sorority house, the members are eating breakfast and then they go to their cla.s.ses. Lilet is walking down the street when she saw this car that keeps following her. The car stopped and a guy came out. He approached her.

He said, "Hi, my name is Nelson. I am a neophyte of the Alpha Fraternity. Terrence asked me to be your bodyguard for a day. That's part of my task."

Lilet can't believe it, "Wow, this life is so glamorous!"

Nelson replied while pointing to Daniel who is busy picking up some trash with other janitor staffs, "Yeah! But if you fail your sorority spirit, you would lose everything. You would start to pick up some trash like that buddy of yours."

Lilet looked at Daniel. She hurried to him and said, "What are you doing? Why are you wearing that suit? Why are started to pick up some trash?"

Daniel replied, "Oh, didn't I tell you? This university has a unique way in disciplining their students. Good things happen to bad people while bad things happen to good people. It seems luck has found you as I heard you are now part of the elite sorority."

Lilet can't help herself but cry. She embraced Daniel, "Oh this fate is really keeping us apart."

Daniel replied with tears from his eyes, "But, you always remain in my heart, my friend."
