'My child is dead.
My love is gone.
The Xu Consortium has gone bankrupt.
I have nothing but myself, and now I don't want to live on,' Xu Zijin thought in despair.
She madly rushed towards those women and stoned them.
The echoes of their painful cries reverberated through the cemetery.
"Stop it!" a solemn voice suddenly came from behind.
Xu Zijin immediately stopped throwing stones and subconsciously looked back at that man. The very next second, she received a tight slap across the face.
"Pat!"
Xu Zijin fell and struck her head against a big stone, her ears ringing. Blood oozed from the wound on her forehead and trickled down into her eyes, blurring her vision.
"Xu Zijin, how dare you make a scene at Anan's funeral!"
Fu Sinian's handsome face clouded as he looked at her with piercing, sinister eyes as if to cut her to pieces. However, for some unknown reason, his anger disappeared when he saw that her face was covered in blood.
His eyes darkened and he felt giddy and light-headed, seeing double. It seemed that there was a monster colliding right and left inside him, trying to break away from his control.
"Brother Sinian, please help me! This madwoman wants to kill me. Just look at my face!" Those women besieged Fu Sinian and scrambled to put the blame on Xu Zijin.
"Go away!" He raised his foot and kicked them away. "Uncle Fu, drive these women away!"
After that, he strode away without even looking at Xu Zijin.

Xu Zijin sat on the ground with a pale face, looking particularly frail. The slap given by Fu Sinian was like a hammer hitting at her heart, taking all her strength and hope away.
A clean handkerchief was handed to her by someone. Xu Zijin raised her head and saw Su Xiyu standing in front of her.
"Are you okay? Just take it and wipe your face." Su Xiyu pointed at the wound on her forehead.
"Thank you," Xu Zijin said, but she didn't take his handkerchief because she was afraid of getting him into trouble.
She struggled to her feet and stumbled along the path, trying to catch up with Fu Sinian.
She walked a long way before she saw Fu Sinian talking to someone on the phone at the foot of the hill.
Xu Zijin's eyes lit up and she was about to walk up to him when her mobile phone rang. She stopped and answered the phone, "h.e.l.lo, Xu Zijin speaking."
"Ms Xu, your father, Mr. Xu Yuanshan suddenly took a turn for the worse. He has pa.s.sed away…" a female voice came from the other end of the phone.
The mobile phone slipped out of Xu Zijin's grasp. The woman on the other end of the line went on speaking in an anxious voice, but Xu Zijin couldn't hear her because the mobile phone crashed against the flagstone and was broken in two.
Fu Sinian seemed to sense something wrong and subconsciously looked back at her.
A violent wind suddenly sprang up and the sky was overcast with dark clouds.
Tombstones jutted out of the ground in broken cl.u.s.ters and Xu Zijin stood among them. The wind s.n.a.t.c.hed at the lower hem of her dress. She slowly said, "Sinian, my father... has pa.s.sed away..."
Her voice was light and fragile, and she looked thin and weak as if she would be blown away at any time.
Fu Sinian squinted at her with an indifferent look on his face. "Really? That's great. You don't need to change your mourning dress. It's suitable for your father's funeral," he sneered, almost spitting venom from his mouth.
She felt a sharp pain in her chest as if a knife pierced through her heart, all her hope destroyed.
Joss papers picked up by the wind were whirling in the air and obscuring her vision. Xu Zijin felt a surge of blood rise up to her throat and the very next second, she spat out a mouthful of blood. Then, she fell backward on her back.
Before she sank into a coma, she saw Fu Sinian rus.h.i.+ng towards her. The panic and fear were evident on his face.
'No…It must be my illusion. Fu Sinian hates me and wants me to die. He doesn't care about me at all.'
Xu Zijin twisted her lips into a wry smile and went unconscious.
