She put her old man behind her, and that was when her senses returned. She then realized what she had done. She didn't have any regrets though! She was getting herself and her old man out here alive!

She heard the Empress screaming then turned to see her. "Shut it!" She hissed. 

"You must be tired of living!" A soldier rushed forward to her, she easily sent him rolling back down the step he just came from.

Master Su commanded the soldiers to seize her but with no much effort she was able to knock them off the throne shade and rolling on the stairs.

Unfortunately she didn't see Dasheng coming from behind her as he seized her. 

She growled in anger but couldn't fight the big man.

And Wei Ying took it to her advantage, she went to give the girl a dirty slap.

Ruqin closed her eyes, antic.i.p.ating the coming of the slap.she had never received since she was born. But it didn't come, she slowly peeked her eyes open and was faced with the menacing glance if the emperor.

"That was a stupid move from you!" He had pushed the Empress to a safer corner. "You just ruined the game, thankfully it was already getting to the end."

He sized her up, in a way no man had ever done. "You're trying to protect that man?" He pointed at her father. The man had dropped his head to look at her feet. "That man right there is,"

The so called man then raised his head, pulling at something under his chin. "One of the palace guard."

And Ruqin felt herself go weak in the knee, as the man pulled his mask off.

Her hands balled. Master Su had been using her all these while and she fell for it.

"You're so strong, even as a woman. I think you'll do a great job being by my side and protecting me than fighting our own soldiers."

If anyone else had been given this opportunity, the person would have jumped into the air to glorify the ruler of heaven and bowed at the emperor's feet. But Ruqin receiving the news was just like her being glorified for killing a rat.

"I'd be better off dead than protect you," Ruqin spat out.

"Look at that guts! The manner! How dare you‽" Wei Ying roared from the side. She wanted to tear this wench down.

They had only come here to watch the game, reward the overall winner, and leave peacefully. But now they met a woman, a female soldier whom was proving too hard to control. Women were meant to be meek, but this one was the exact opposite. Even without her doing a single thing, Wei Ying already hated her! She was sent to rock her world, to tumble it and bring it shattering to the ground. She could feel fear grip her. Who was she? 

She had never head of a n.o.ble lady in the kingdom that was very good in Martial arts, to the extent that defeating men was like a child's play to her.

"Where did you say she come from?" She questioned but since they had their heads bowed, no one answered. Speaking without being called on was a very wrong decision. "Having the audacity to reject the Emperor's reward and then his kindness, you must have said your last prayer."

Ruqin was still bound by Dasheng so she didn't move. And she was tired of listening to this empress whatever! She remembered back in their village, they had never been a single word about the emperor! They knew they had one but didn't regard him. The ruler of their small village was enough. But now, she had to deal with a joke of an Emperor and a sick , unstable empress.

She wished she could wake up from this nightmare, this nightmare of her suffering, her villagers, her father... It was too much! The pains! And everything else!

"Master Su, prepare a carriage that will convey her back to the palace."

"This year's tournament is a mess!"

"I agree with you, brother Yuan." Jin Zuan said, the second prince.

Yuan nodded, actually all these had been planned out by him and Master Su. He had been watching the girl last night and knew that if she could get into the palace, he would have much stronger backing.

"Do you think this is a little bit yon?" Direct Ye asked for the third time now. He was busy editing, as he was trying to get the most eye catching scene for the trailer.

By his two sides were Xiujun and producer Fang.

"I think this is alright! Actually this scene was able to prove that Wei Ying isn't an ideal Empress and the Empress is just as worst." Producer Fang said matter-of-factly.

"Yes, we're moving in the right direction." Xiujun said.

"Let's complete the afternoon scene and wait till evening to continue then."

Xueyan felt a headache rising. 

"Yes, you think you're so strong. Right?"

"Fangxi," Xueyan voice was crisp. "If you don't let her go,"

"What will you do? Cry and beg or run to report to the director?" Yin Anhao sneered.

"You just shut up! No body asked for you to speak up, clown." Mei Han fired.

Yin Anhao was stunned, she raised her hand to hit Mei Han but Deng Yue held her still.

"Let's just live." Deng Yue suggested.

"Leave?" Anhao was angered by that word. "We've been preparing for this. To get this two to apologise to us! This stupid orphaned girl is bound to a chair and she still has the guts to talk, don't you see how less they regard us?"

Deng Yue ma.s.saged her temple. "It's okay, we already had enough fun."

"Enough fun my a.s.s," Fangxi hissed. "Just shut up!"

"Clowns!" Mei Han said then started laughing. It was mocking to the ear.

"A tight slap delivered to your face wouldn't be so bad!" Fangxi said but didn't dare move from her spot.

Yin Anhao raised her hand to deliver the slap again but stopped halfway when someone called out to Xueyan.

"Miss Bai?" It was Xiujun.

Yin Anhao felt her heart drop into the pit of her stomach.

She and Deng Yue formed a human s.h.i.+eld to block Mei Han. She didn't forget to slap a tape over the girls mouth.

Fangxi hid the kitchen knife in her hand in her sleeve.

Xiujun thought something was wrong when he saw the four women. Yin Anhao seemed to be avoiding his gaze, Deng Yue suddenly was too focused on her phone. Fangxi and Xueyan was standing too close to be true. "Is everything alright?"

"Yes, sure." Fangxi quickly answered.

"We need to continue, you have had enough rest, right?" 

Fangxi opened her mouth to answer but realized the question had been directed at Xueyan.

Xueyan nodded. And the instant Xiujun turned to leave, Xueyan slapped Fangxi across her face.

"Parr!" Was the sound.

Xiujun then turned around to see a very shocked Fangxi clutching her face. He already guessed right, they were bullying her.

"Are you alright?" Yin Anhao ran over to ask Fangxi.

Fangxi didn't know when a tear dropped from her eye. That slap had been so hard, her neck went stiff, her legs numb. She couldn't move her whole body.

Xueyan pushed Deng Yue to the side and untied Mei Han.

They had tied the girl and slapped her more than twice before she got there, then Fangxi pointed two knives at her. One held at her throat and the other at her waist.

This girls were so crazy that they were even going around in broad daylight hurting people.

It didn't make sense to her.

"What is going on here?" Xiujun asked.

"Nothing much, we were just joking with Xueyan but she took it too serious." Yin Anhao kept trying to smile but there was a crack.

Xiujun had wanted to pretend he hadn't heard anything or seen a thing, but no, this girl interested him the more.

According to his information, she was a weakling whom had been bullied in school. Why is she now showing so much strength? She wasn't even afraid... It really surprised him.

"Mei Han, Xueyan, what is happening here?" Yuxi asked. Xiujun had been gone for a long time so the director sent her to go fetch her sister.

"A little bit of child's play to lighten the mood." Mei Han chuckled even amidst the red marks on her swollen face. The slap must have been so hard that there was even an almost drying blood at the side of her mouth.

"Now, take this warning very seriously! If you as much as try to hurt Mei Han again... You won't be able to walk for days. Seems like my warnings means nothing to you, you want me to act them out? Alright! I'll do just that!" Xueyan planned on taking easy on the girls but they wanted more.
