"Okay," Qingnuan then turned to the manager. "Perhaps, I could wait here for her to be done. That's her last room, right?"

"Ye..."

"No," Xueyan interrupted before the manager could finish. "I still have more,"

"Okay, okay. I will wait for you still." Qingnuan said and sat down.

Xueyan was no longer smiling. If it was left to her, she'd smack Qingnuan's head with her shoe but now she had to pretend to be best friends with her.

Xueyan turned around without saying anything more and left. At the door she saw Anna scoff at her. Anna has been acting up recently. Xueyan thought.

Once Xueyan was out of the room, Qingnuan started blabbering about how much she loved Xueyan. How they acted like siblings. How they had been friends since childhood...

While Anna watched from the sideline. If truly she's besties with Xueyan then Xueyan is very lucky. Why bother work in a hotel when she could work at a very big company?

Manager Fu would smile at times and nod at what she was saying.

It was five pm by the time Xueyan finished, she was running late to pick Qingran up and Qingnuan is on her neck.

"Xueyan, let me drive you home." Qingnuan offered.

"No, there's no need to." Xueyan immediately rejected. Accepting the offer was like shooting her own foot. There was no possible way to shake her off.

A phone rang and it was a call for Qingnuan, when she saw who was calling she excused herself, "One minute."

Xueyan hated the fact that she had to chat with Qingnuan as if there were h.e.l.lo buddies.

"I've been waiting for your call all day! What took you so long?" Qingnuan asked the person on phone.

"I'm sorry I didn't call earlier to tell you I wasn't able to meet Qiangshen. I was told he left very early and I stayed here waiting for him to return but it seems he won't come back to the company again for today." Cui Yao whined. "Did you see Xueyan?"  She asked.

"Yes! She really works at the hotel. I wonder if s.h.i.+ya saw her lookalike. Ok bye. I'm stuck with that dumb girl. I need to bade her bye and get myself cleaned." Qingnuan said and hung up.

"Omo!" She suddenly screamed when she turned and saw Xueyan giving her a dangerous glare. Did she hear me? Oh no way she would have heard me. 

"That was Cui Yao, she said maybe we could all have dinner together," Qingnuan lied.

"Okay, I will head off now." Without waiting for a reply Xueyan walked away.

Qingnuan smirked, "I guess that's a yes." It will be better if I take her s.h.i.+ya than s.h.i.+ya finds out herself.

When Xueyan got home she had that familiar giggle that rings bell to the ears and her heart was filled with warmth. She pushed the door open and saw Qingran and s.h.i.+huan in the midst of hand wrestling. s.h.i.+huan turned the instant the door opened and Qingran used that opportunity to pull his hand down.

"Yes!  I won uncle. I won! I really won." She danced round the table until she noticed who was at the door. "Mother," she ran straight into Xueyan's embrace.

"Mother look I won uncle," Qingran pulled her sleeve up to show her abs. 

Xueyan chuckled, "Yes, yes. You did good!"

"Yes you might have won today but I'm surely winning next time," s.h.i.+huan teased.

"Till next time, then," Mrs Bai said. "For today, Qingran won and you are taking her out as promised."

"Okay," s.h.i.+huan agreed.

"I will get you your favourite candy, pancakes and eggs." Qingran said to her granny.

"Good good," the woman said and patted her head.

The doorbell rang interesting the atmosphere.

Might be Yuxi. They thought.

s.h.i.+huan went to open the door and to his surprise it was a man clad in black. "Who are you?"

Xueyan looked up. Riuwen? She immediately got up and went to the door. "It's okay," she said to s.h.i.+huan, he understood and went back in.

"Young Master Zhao is here to..."

Xueyan immediately shushed him before he could complete his statement. She went out and closed the door behind her.

Riuwen pointed at the black FW thunder parked in some distance.

He didn't follow her to the car and that's when she noted that he had come along.

In the back sit the man had an ugly expression, he looked really dangerous.

Xueyan had to look around and make sure no one was watching before getting in but one thing she didn't know was that one of the apartment, at the window, someone was watching.

When he saw her he was surprised, she had come? 

"You must really want to cut off all ties with me," he sounded a bit offended and his expression changed. "You must have lost  the hand phone I gave you, so I got another one." He didn't want to ask what happened to the phone, he knew the answer already but hearing it from her would give him thousand sleepless nights.

"Good evening Mr Zhao but I only agreed to come over here so I would tell you to leave and don't ever come to find me!"  Xueyan declared. 

"Then take the phone and whenever I contact you, you come see me in a better environment." Zhaolin wasn't having any of her no. At least he read somewhere that girls loved pampering and Xueyan obviously needed one. He has to spoil her with gifts , gifts and many more gifts but he had to get her yes.

"I really don't need this hand phone. I broke the other one you gave me and..."

"I will still buy you another one if you break this by mistake again." Zhaolin stated.

By mistake? What mistake? 

If she rejects it, he will come back with more... So she'd rather take it and keep it somewhere...

"And don't think about keeping it away!" Zhaolin said as if he could read her thoughts.
