"You are so ambitious... You'd achieve your dreams soon." Cui Yao remarked.

"Right? I'm on it already! My dreams are coming to pa.s.s." Yuxi said.

The door was pulled open.

All eyes turned to the door.

It was Xiao s.h.i.+ya at the door. s.h.i.+ya froze at the door when she saw who the voice belonged to.

Qingnuan and Cui Yao stood up and strode towards s.h.i.+ya.

"s.h.i.+ya you're here!" Cui Yao clamored.

s.h.i.+ya didn't respond as she was still frozen. Sweat formed on s.h.i.+ya's forehead.

Bai Xueyan...

Yuxi pretended not to see s.h.i.+ya, and continued sipping on her gla.s.s of water.

"Bai Xueyan..." With a soft voice s.h.i.+ya called out. It was more like a whisper but because the room was in total silent it was loud and clear.

Yuxi tilted her head a bit towards s.h.i.+ya's direction. She stood up graciously revealing those curvy hips in an alluring manner. 

s.h.i.+ya's face changed from shock to surprise. Her heart palpitated. So her intuitions was correct. Bai Xueyan is back... Have she met up with Zhaolin? No no, I shouldn't have such imagination. 

s.h.i.+ya strode up at Yuxi's sitting place. "Bai Xueyan, what a pleasant surprise."

Yuxi graciously stood up, three inches taller than s.h.i.+ya she smiled down at the woman whom was trying her best to give her best smile. 

s.h.i.+ya's mouth twitched continuously as her throat bobbed. "Why put up fronts? You could have easily told me your plans earlier... Why pretend like you didn't recognize me?" 

"It's been ages Miss Xiao s.h.i.+ya but you haven't changed one bit. You're still so young and gracious, elegant and cla.s.sy! You must have aged backwards while we grew old..." Yuxi wheezed.

"You're so astute," Cui Yao weighed in.

"You flatter me," s.h.i.+ya chuckled. "You're not so wrong either. Let's sit and relax we have a lot to talk about." 

s.h.i.+ya bypa.s.sed Yuxi with her troops and went to take their seats.

Yuxi took light steps back to her sit, picked up her gla.s.s and continued sipping on her water.

Qingnuan called the waiter and they all placed their orders.

Five minutes later their food arrived.

"What was it about Young Master Qiangshen?" Cui Yao probed. She picked her gla.s.s and sipped on her wine. "I wonder how you can go down to such extent. Like I said before he's too young. And you shouldn't dream of anything yet. You don't know... He might actually get tired and have to marry a woman chosen by his family..." Cui Yao paused and examined Yuxi.

"Even a young boy of fifteen years old can get a woman of forty years pregnant..." Yuxi purposely trailed off.

"Prrrr" went the wine in Cui Yao's mouth as she spilled it all out.

Qingnuan immediately pulled out tissues to dab at Cui Yao's cloth.

s.h.i.+ya frowned. 

"Any ways let's not talk about the little young master, Cui Yao has also had dreams about him and must now let go of them because he's too young... Let's discuss about ourselves."

Cui Yao's mouth hung open.

Qingnuan patted Cui Yao's back as her lips formed a straight line.

"Sure let's change the topic." Qingnuan agreed.

"Mother we're back!" Qingran announced from the door as she sprinted forward and ran into her mother's arm. 

"Did you have fun?" Xueyan asked.

s.h.i.+huan walked pa.s.s them, "I need to shower."

"Okay," Xueyan said in response to what s.h.i.+huan said.

"Yes yes. Uncle took me to so many places. Even took me to the fair. We had ice cream, vanilla flavour, strawberry flavour and chocolate flavour. We went window shopping also." Qingran announced with pure excitement.

"Oh really?" Xueyan pinched Qingran cheeks. "So what did you bring back for me?" Xueyan raised an eyebrow and put her hand under her jaw with her leg tapping the floor.

Qingran cleared her throat, giggled and spread her hands wide. "There's nothing."

Xueyan laughed. "You naughtly girl."

"Mom, let's go together next time. There are a lot of fun places."

"Okay, okay. I will go with you next time."

"My little princess how was your day? How did it go? Did you have fun?" Mrs Bai asked.

"Yes, yes I did. Uncle took me a lot of fun places."

"Oh not bad!" Mrs Bai said.

Xueyan's phone lit up. On the screen it showed an unknown number calling.

Xueyan hesitated before picking up.

"h.e.l.lo!" An excited voice said from the other line. It was a very familiar voice and it made Xueyan smile a bit.

"h.e.l.lo," Xueyan said.

"Oh h.e.l.lo h.e.l.lo, do you know who's on the line?" The person on the end asked.

"Yes, sure. Its Jiuwen." 

"Hahaha, is it that obvious? Oh never mind. Where are you at the moment? You packed out of the apartment provided by the hotel because it's empty over here." 

"Oh yeah I did. Actually we moved to..." Xueyan gave Feng Jiu the address and Jiuwen promised to come over.

"What do you say, you want to join me?" 

"No no. You  should rather go alone."

"I wonder how you will be able to court her if you spend such little time with her. You can't win her heart that way..."

"Jiuwen you are talking way too much." 

"What is wrong with what I just said Riu? You think Linlin wants to remain single like you? No he doesn't want to die single!" Jiu retorted.

Riuwen didn't say more while Zhaolin watched.

"So what do you say Zhao, want to go with me?" Jiu asked, a big smile in her face.

"I don't think you understand young master. It's clear Xueyan wants to meet up with you because its you alone. If it's with the young master... She wouldn't be so excited to receive you. Don't make it any harder than it is already." Riuwen pleaded.

"Oh! You seem to have it right this time." Jiuwen said with realization. "I will leave you two to yourself. Riuwen don't be such  bore and make little Zhao's outing with us worth it." Jiuwen waved and ran out of the restaurant.

By the time she arrived at Xueyan's apartment it was past nine. She ran into a young lady that looked like Xueyan in every way. If she wasn't so familiar with Xueyan she would have mistaken them.

The young lady's aura was domineering, powerful and fierce. Meanwhile the Xueyan she knew had a cool aura like that of a saint. Jiuwen took large steps towards the young lady. "Hi, are you heading in?"

"Yes and you are?" Yuxi asked looking straight into Jiuwen's eyes. 

Jiuwen felt calm, peaceful and happy within her. "You're such a beauty to behold. You look so much like a friend of mine... Bai Xueyan."

Yuxi revealed a tiny smile, "Nice to meet you, I'm Bai Yuxi."

Jiuwen was amazed. "I never knew Xueyan had a sis."

They entered the elevator together.

They arrived at the second floor, Xueyan went to open the door and was surprised to see them both.

"Yanyan," Jiuwen called and hugged Xueyan. "Oh my look who we have here," Feng Jiu let go of Xueyan and bent in front of Qingran. "It's so late darling why aren't you sleeping yet?"

"Oh! I will go to bed soon." Qingran answered.

Feng Jiu rubbed her head. "Come I'll put you to bed." 

Qingran was in her pajamas already and showed Feng Jiu the way to the room shared by she, her mother and aunt.

Jiu searched for a story online to read for Qingran. But none was to her taste so she ended up telling Qingran how they met and became friends.

Soon Qingran fell asleep. With her eyes closed she looked so much like him. The striking resemblance was undeniable. Feng Jiu wanted to unite these family to be whole for the first time. She tucked the mattress around Qingran and went out.

"What do you say? Let's go have a bottle of beer." Feng Jiu suggested.

"No way," Xueyan immediately rejected the idea. "It's so late." She gave her reason.

"Its not even ten pm yet." Feng Jiu said. "Don't worry we'd be back before you know it. I will also protect you. Go and put on jeans trouser so we'd be able to flee when we run into trouble." Feng Jiu adviced.

Xueyan went in to change her outfit.

In a bar not too far from the estate Xueyan and Feng Jiu settled on empty chairs, called for the bar man and ordered for three different beers.

"Get Gleckes, Harbin and snow beer for us!" Feng Jiu yammered so the bar man could hear over the Los song been played.

"Okay!" The bar man replied and went away with their order.

The chilled beers were served with two gla.s.ses. Feng Jiu poured for Xueyan and Xueyan poured for her. They toasted and gulped it down. Feng Jiu gulped it all down at once while Xueyan had to raise the gla.s.s trice to her mouth.

"It tastes good!" Xueyan confessed.

"Yes yes. Hahaha." Feng Jiu laughed.

Time flew by and it was nine fifty three.

Xueyan stopped drinking as she was feeling dizzy already.

Feng Jiu eyes were as clear as still waters. There was no sign of been drunk. "Let's go now." Jiu stood up and went over to help Xueyan stand as well. They headed out and took the cab waiting at the entrance.

Meanwhile a camera clicked. It was so quiet outside that you'd think the noise from inside was from another world. Feng Jiu heard the camera click and turned, to see what it was to her surprise it was...
