Demon Emperor's Wild Husband 4 Chapter 4

"er, Ming'er, wake up Ming". Chen Ming was awakened up by the wailings of an ageing man, his voice is faint but it didn't get past Chen's ears. The old man's voice was filled with distress. Although, he can't see the man's face see know who he was.

"Grandfather?". Chen Ming called out towards the elderly man.

"Yes, yes this is grandfather, it's me!!! You remember me?". The elderly man Lin Chen cried out.

"Yes, I remember". Chen Ming spoke in a low voice, it seems that all his energy is drained. As if noticing this Lin Chen quickly ordered someone to get the kitchen maids to make some porridge for him.

After a little while, a maid came back to Chen Ming's room and gave the porridge to Lin Chen, Lin Chen then proceeded to feed Chen Ming the porridge. Ensuring that he finishes all of it Lin Chen constantly insisted that it was good for his health. After he finished feeding him the porridge he left him to go to sleep.

The next day two female maids we standing outside Chen Mings room when they heard noise coming from inside the room, they both looked at each other and gave each a little nod before one of them immediately ran towards an office like room. You could see that she has come back, however, she wasn't alone. Along with her came Lin Chen, as soon as they reached Chen Ming's room they promptly opened the door to see a very disoriented little boy sitting on the bed. They saw that he kept looking around until his eyes landed on the elderly man and the two females. All he did was stare at them, they didn't speak a word. Until Lin Chen went up to him.

"Ming, my precious grandson are you feeling better now? Do you remember everything?", Lin Chen asked with faith within his heart that he will remember.

Chen Ming shook his head a few times before saying " Grandfather I only remember people, I don't remember anything else". While saying that Chen Ming looked up toward his grandfather and spoke;

"Grandfather can you please tell me about myself, Ming doesn't remember anything". Lin Chen was surprised that his grandson could remember people but not anything about himself, however, whatever he thought he kept to himself and told Chen Ming that he was a very respectful young man, he was loved by many and that he was very talented. Chen Mings expression while hearing what this old man was hearing become more and more stone cold. THIS OLD MAN WAS LYING TO HIS FACE!!!!.

From the memories that Ming Chen had given him, he could clearly see that this young boy was spoilt rotten, whatever he wanted he got, along with the fact that his grandfather was the supreme commander of Snow Beast of the strongest military in the Mu kingdom, he had acted extremely arrogant towards everyone, which made everyone hate him. Also, he was a talentless boy, he was below average, kids his age would be able to summon a spirit, however, he couldn't. The fact that this old man lied to him like this could mean one thing, that was that this kid is loved, way to loved. His grandfather protected him no matter what he did. Listening to how this old man was speaking so highly of this brat, Chen Ming couldn't bare it anymore and stated;

"WHY ARE YOU LYING!!!", Chen Ming screamed towards the old man, but it wasn't the rude kind of scream. Lin Chen was a bit taken back by what his grandson had just said.

"Ming'er, what do you mean by I'm lying, why on earth would I lie to my precious grandson for?", Lin Chen stated feeling sweat gather on his forehead.

"Really so your not lying to me?", Chen one again questioned Lin Chen. To which Lin Chen replied;

"Of course not, I would never lie to you". Lin Chen bought out his handkerchief from pocket to wipe off the sweat on his forehead.

"HAHA, you really make me laugh If I remember correctly multiple powerhouses within this kingdom have tried to get rid of me because I was unrespectful and because I'm a useless waste, or are saying that this whole thing was a dream??", as he said all that he looked at the facial expression of Lin Chen and seen that his face was pale.

"Grandfather, I know its not your fault but please don't lie to me next time, it will break my heart, I would rather hear the truth than being lied to". Chen Ming looked at Lin Chen waiting for him to answer. After some moments of silence, you can hear Lin Chen release a breath.

" My dear grandson, you have grown up now, without me around you have grown up quite well. Even if you were arrogant, other can't say much themselves, at the very least you didn't come to me to take care of them, you done it all on your own whereas others will get their families. I'm sorry grandfather promises that I will always tell you the truth. Are you happy now?". Lin Chen asked looking at his grandson to ensure that he isn't upset. Seeing his grandson n.o.b make the old commander sign in relief. Now that he saw that his grandson is well he got up from the side of the bed ready to leave. When he reached the door he heard his grandson as him;

"Grandfather in ten days time I will need to ask you for a favour, is that ok?", Chen Ming asked as he looked directly into his grandfather's eyes. Lin Chen saw how serious he was when he asked that question, however, he has to know what that favour is first.
