"Are you listening?" Pei Changying waved her hand in front of my face a couple of time trying to get my attention.

"I'm sorry," I apologized, getting up from my seat. Not before letting Pei Changying know that I needed some fresh air, so she wouldn't be wondering why I suddenly got up in a hurry.

I stretched my arms with a big sigh in relief once I was out of the room. Walking down the wide hallway towards a secluded lounge area that was far away from the reunion room. I sat down getting all comfortable on one of the couch in the corner. Taking out my smartphone, I dialed the first phone number popping up from my recent contact list.

"h.e.l.lo, handsome!" I beamed after Julian picked up my phone call on the first ring. Without realizing, someone was closely following me the moment I left the reunion room.

"What's up, beautiful?" Julian replied back with his raspy voice. It appeared that I just woke up him up, but he still answered my phone call even with his packed schedule. He barely had enough sleep these days.

"I-" I didn't get a chance to finish my sentence. My hand that was holding onto the phone was forcefully grabbed, causing my phone to skip a few times on the marble floor. Once again, I came to find myself facing Chen Jian's penetrating glare.

"Chen Jian!" I growled, shoving him to the side and attempted to grab my phone off the ground. I swear I heard my phone screen cracked to a million pieces!

Chen Jian didn't allow her to grab her phone. He wasn't planning on being this aggressive with her but when he heard her calling someone on the other line "handsome" plus calling out his full name. A part of him just snapped, and this side of him who has been hidden for so long just came out. She used to call him "Jian" to show how close they were. Now hearing "Chen Jian" shows how distance they became from each other.

"Let go." I hissed, trying to release my right arm from Chen Jian's fingers that were gripping tightly on my wrist.

"Are we acting like we are strangers now?" Chen Jian scoffed, bring his face closer to mine.

A small part of me on the inside melted, I almost forgot about how handsome his face was. He does deserve the t.i.tle as one to the top five most handsome men at school. I quickly cleared my throat to recompose myself from digging my own grave.

"No, or else I would have asked 'who are you!' and 'what do you want?'" I responded back sarcastically to his question with a shrugged.

Chen Jian was baffled at her sa.s.sy reply back to his question. He almost forgot how quick-witted she was and it was one of the things he loved the most about her. That dark emotion earlier began to dissipate. It has been seven years since he last saw her.

When he held her hand, all the feelings he once had for her came rus.h.i.+ng back at him. She was really here with him, standing in front of him, and it wasn't the dream he usually had of her. His tight grip on her wrist started to loosen up, so with one smooth move, Yun Anong was able to free her arm.

"Huh, if it isn't the second young master Chen Jian?" A male voice came from behind Chen Jian's back.

Chen Jian who was much taller than me was blocking my view by standing in front of me. I couldn't see who was it that called out to Chen Jian from the behind. I was about to walk around him so I can escape the situation while he was distracted with that person. Up until I saw a glimpse of someone I did not want to see. Even worse than Chen Jian.

My foot quickly retreated back in place and stood still as a stick behind Chen Jian. If anything, I was hoping my body will merge to be one with Chen Jian so they wouldn't notice a second figure behind him.

Please do not notice me! Please do not see me! I began chanting this sentence repeatedly in my heart.
