The Kings 55 Deal

Mu Yi's side stared at me like I had two heads on my shoulders. Yes, I know, who would believe their demon boss is a joker. If you could not tell he was the sp.a.w.n of Satan, you would come to learn he is in a short amount of time.

Though, I'll admit I never got to see that side of him in full action. I always seem to miss it by quite a lot whenever I walk in on it by accident. Whenever I do, he'll stop himself almost immediately and dismiss the person he was yelling at. Then he'll return to his usual calm self while expressionlessly asking what do I want.

"I never joke," Mu Yi narrowed his eyes, moving the folder away with two of his fingers.

Well, this conversation was getting us nowhere. Instantly, I opened up the folder to block our face behind it.

"What do you want in return?" I asked in a low voice, hopefully enough that only he can hear me. Although I highly doubt that! The room was dead quiet that even if I was just mouthing the words, they could all pick up what I was saying.

"You," Mu Yi answered confidently while staring directly into my eyes with pa.s.sion in his eyes.

My heart thump against my chest. I've seen those eyes before, those were the eyes I had only for Mu Yi a very long time ago.

"Besides that," I broke eye contact away from him, and tuck my non-existing loose hair behind my ears again. Always asking for the impossible.

"You," Mu Yi repeated, moving his face closer towards her behind the folder. He was only a few inches away from touching her face.

Then with his hand, he swiftly loosened up her tucked hair behind her ears. It was a habit of Yun Anong to unconsciously tuck her hair behind her ears when she gets nervous or embarra.s.sed.

I cracked a smirk, showing Mu Yi I wasn't going to give myself up for him for this project. By working with Mu Yi, who is influential in the business world, it would help launch New Image to another level. But at the same time, I could care less if this project was going to be successful or not. I don't need Mu Yi influence to bring New Image up there, and I am sure he is clear on this better than anyone else in this room.

"Alright, I'll agree to your terms with Julian. However, I would like the CEO of New Image to show up to Mu's Corporate every day."

Mu Yi gave in, if he didn't, he knows Yun Anong will get up and leave. The project with New Image will be over, and that means she will have no reason to continue showing up in front of him.

"Excellent, but only until the project is over. " I nodded my head, immediately agreeing to Mu Yi's conditions, meanwhile changing up the terms a tad. I didn't want to push my luck too far with him.

"Deal," Mu Yi leaned in, giving Yun Anong's cheek a light peck. "And we'll seal it with that for now."

Instead of one thump, this time, my heart was rapidly pounding against my chest. Sealing the deal with a light kiss, yeah right, when you actually have to sign these doc.u.ments in front of me.

Yet, I put down the folder as if I wasn't talking to Mu Yi behind it just a moment ago. Then wiped away the warmth on my right cheek as I tucked my hair behind my ears.

"Please sign here and here," I gave Mu Yi the papers that I had carried with me the night I went to get Tang Liang. "Then put your condition here on this blank page."

Mu Yi didn't hesitate to sign his golden signature away. Anyone who wants to rise into the world of richness knows his signature is a gateway.

During the last blank page, he tried to get away with 'Yun Anong must show up every single day to see Mu Yi'. Which was obviously going against what we had agreed upon on a moment ago. So I ended up changing and adding a few words, such as from 'Yun Anong' to 'CEO of New Image' and 'only until the Wings project is over'.

You can see disappointment all over his usual expressionless face, but he didn't say anything.

"are we done?" One of Mu Yi's employee whispered, asking Chu Heng who sat next to her.

She wasn't sure because they didn't do anything the whole time. What was presented was something already done previously, so it was just a review to them. Everything else that was different was discussed solely by the two CEO.

Plus their CEO Mu didn't seem to put up much of a fight with New Image's CEO. Also, New Image received the better end of the deal compared to Mu's Corporate. For all the time she has been working beside CEO Mu, he had always ended up getting the better end of the deal.

"Uh..." Chu Heng wasn't sure on how to answer her either. He looked at Hui Yin for an answer, but she just shrugged her shoulders.

"Yes, everything is done." I helped Chu Heng answered her, and signal with my eyes letting Hui Yin know it's time for us to leave as well. "I am happy we came to an agreement, it is an honor to work with you, CEO Mu."

I reached out my hand for one last handshake.

"No, not at all," Mu Yi grinned, grabbing hold of my hand straight away. "It's actually my honor to work with you, Yun Anong."

Goodness, he really wants to put it out there that we do know each other by calling out my full name. And... He's also not letting go of my hand, again. Don't tell me he wants me to walk out of this building holding his hand!

"Hui-" I couldn't finish what I wanted to say, out of nowhere, there was a sharp sting in my chest. It felt as if someone took a huge needle and stabbed right into me.

Instantly, I clutched my chest and bit my bottom lip, trying not to show I am in any sort of pain. I unclutched my hand and moved it towards my necklace to make it seem like I was trying to grab my necklace initially. Fighting through the pain, I muttered but in a clear voice for Hui Yin to understand me.

"Hui Yin, take the others and leave first. Have the rest of today off."

"I understand," Hui Yin obeyed, without questioning Yun Anong.

All of Yun Anong's employees' eyes lit up with excitement to hear that they were getting the rest of the day off. They were expecting to get very busy since the contract had been signed for. At least now, they have half a day to rest before all the craziness starts again.

Mu Yi made the rest of his employees leave too. Leaving only Yun Anong and him in the meeting room. If anything Mu Yi was surprised that she didn't take this chance to run out the doors.

I watched as everyone started leaving the room one by one. The moment that door was closed, I also collapsed to the ground with one hand still holding his hand.

"Anong!" Mu Yi exclaimed in shock with her suddenly hitting the ground with her knees.

He almost let go of her hand to check if she was alright. Then he stopped himself after remembering what happened this morning. Was she faking it again so he would leave and she would disappear?

"Mu Yi, t-take me to your office room," I gripped his pants leg, causing his fine ironed suit to wrinkle up. I took in a deep breath to control the pain, but it was even more painful.

He was taken back that Yun Anong voluntarily wants to go to his room, especially after what happened last time.

"I-I," my breathing was starting to become short and rapid. c.r.a.p, why does this have to happen right now! I have to do it now, or it'll get worst. Twisting the crescent moon ring on my finger, I pierced the sharp end into my palm.

"Anong, are you alright?" Mu Yi lifted her face up, only to see that she was extremely pale with tiny droplets of sweats on the side of her face. If she didn't wasn't wearing any lipstick right now, her lips would be paler than her face.

She wasn't lying or acting.

Without further hesitation, he lifted Yun Anong up and carried her to his office room.
