"Scott wake up..." she said

The man woke up with no expression on his face, he got up from his chair and step out of his office to the kitchen.

"I saw Angelique today..." she said

"What did you say?" Scott expression drastically changed

"Don't worry, I did nothing to her. She invited me to follow her to her radio show and then we went out for dinner," she explained

Scott then calmed down hearing things everything went fine, "So how is she?"

"She looks fine, she was bright and smiling as usual. She received a bouquet of flower today from one of her admirers," she said hoping Scott would react.

"Oh-" he said

It surprises Joe to see Scott not care at all, she then continued to pester him hoping to get some answer, " She really liked the flower that she received."

"I see..." he said

"The person even wrote her a nice poem," she added

"Okay..." Scott said as he got himself a cup of coffee, "Want some?"

It dumbfounded Joe to see Scott not reacting at all, she rejected the coffee he offered and continued to observe him. "Are you alright?"

"Why should I be..." he replied

"Well, you seem kind of off right now. I just told you someone was courting Angelique yet you seem to not care." Joe said

"As long as she is happy then I'm fine with that, I'll be heading back to my office. I still have some work to do..." he replied as he walked away.

Joe was completely speechless from what came out of Scott's mouth. Could it be that he has let go as well, has he given up on her too? What the heck is going on? Joe was completely confused that her head was about to explode.

Scott took a quick glimpse at Joe who was looking crazy, he smiled seeing the girl so confused about the situation. Once he got back from his office, he quickly grabs his phone and called someone.

"What do you want now?" The person on the other end said

"I just want to thank you..." Scott smiled as he seated on his car.

"b.l.o.o.d.y h.e.l.l, the almighty Scott actually said thank you for once."

"Stop exaggerating, anyway, thanks again..." He said again.

"Scott I know I'm helping you but let me ask you one thing. Are you sure you want her back?" he directly asked him

"I do and I won't let her go again..." he replied

"But what if she decides to be with Jordon or Jamie, what will you do then?"

"Toby don't worry, I won't kill them... I want to play a fair game to see who wins her in the end, plus, I'm sure I'm in the lead already after my surprise last week," he replied with a bright smile whilst sipping his coffee.

"Just because you cooked for her doesn't mean you're in the lead, Jordon has been with her this entry time when you were away," he explained

"Don't worry, he can't be with her..." Scott said as his expression changed

"Can't be with her, his always with her...." Toby replied

"Trust me, he can't ... just don't ask... Anyway, I need to go..." Scott said as he ended the call.

Scott then sat back on his chair as he thought of the reason why Jordon couldn't be with Angelique, but he wonders what if Angelique still choice him in the end. He sighed as he thought of the possibility it could happen, it was something he was too afraid to face.

He then opened his laptop, on the screen was the flowers he orders for her earlier. He did not expect that Toby advice could actually be helpful. He then started browsing at a different site to find a simple gift for Angelique, he smiled as he recalled Joe telling him that Angelique liked the flowers.

Whilst he was browsing the site, he then received an unexpected message. His expression change as he read the content of the message, he clenched his fits as he slams the phone onto the table.

"Who the f*ck do they think they are?" he yelled

Scott was furious after reading the content of the message, he did not expect someone would actually dare tell him that. He then left the room to cool off and calm himself down.

On the table was Scott cracked phone, the screen was still on and the message content was on display.
