When Vivien's lips touched Steve's lips, the soft feeling shared was different from when he kissed Lucy and Sofia. After a while, their lips parted and Steve frowned.
"What's wrong?" Vivien asked.
"Can we try it one more time?" Steve recalled his previous experience and said, "Then say, 'lucky kiss!'"
Vivien bit her lower lip, tiptoed up to reach his lips again, and kissed Steve warmly. She then quickly separated from him and said, "It's a lucky kiss! It can bring you good luck."
Steve licked his lower lip and sighed. "Still no response..."
"What reaction were you looking for?" Vivien asked him with a frown.
"Let me be quiet for a moment..." Steve said as went to sit on the bed. He was frowning as he thought.
Seeing Steve's reaction, Vivien sat down on the bed next to Steve, then took his head and put it on her lap.
She then asked, "Why don't you lie down and think about it for awhile?"
She did not know what Steve was thinking, but in order to not disturb him, she just watched him quietly. As Steve lay on Vivien's lap, he began to think.
Why there isn't a reaction this time? Was it just a coincidence that the Star of Hope was heated up the last time? What else could have possibly triggered it?
Steve was filled with doubts. He first kissed Vivien last night, and the Star of Hope did not respond. Their second kiss was just before the PK battle, and he clearly remembered every word Vivien had said at that time. It was that kiss that had triggered the reaction from the Star of Hope!
Though the reaction was only for a short moment, Steve had felt it clearly. Even Judy had sensed the rulers of the past! Moreover, during the battle, a very strange scene occurred...
A wisp of white gas had flown out of Steve's lips and merged into Lawrence's body. Then, Lawrence failed in the second stage of transformation, which led to the frantic weakening of Lawrence's power.
That battle was what had triggered the Star of Hope, and that was the "lucky kiss" battle! But, the Star of Hope did not respond to the two kisses just now, even after Vivien had said the exact same words as she had before that very battle...
"Why..." Steve wondered aloud. He then asked the Heart of the Universe, "Can you decipher this?"
"Master, from the data I collected, I found that there is indeed a mysterious force that is attached to you, which suddenly left your body at that time. As for what kind of power it is, there is no specific record of that detail in the database," the Heart of the Universe responded.
Steve frowned. He had probably merely provided an opportunity for the Star of Hope to hatch. Unfortunately, there was no clue or evidence to prove this.
"Master, perhaps you can ask Miss Judy, as she lived through the invasion of the rulers of the past.Maybe this sort of thing was recorded in the database of the Apollo Battles.h.i.+p," the Heart of the Universe suggested.
The last time when it was in the Apollo Battles.h.i.+p, the Heart of the Universe constantly collected its data. However, the Apollo Battles.h.i.+p contained an entire civilization of a whole era. Thus, the data compiled within it was so huge, even if the Heart of the Universe collected the data consecutively for three days, only less than one-hundredth of a percent of it would be collected!

Steve sobered up and said, "Yes! Judy can sense the power of the rulers of the past, so maybe she knows!"
Thinking of this, he immediately called Judy in his heart. "Judy, you said that you could sense the scent of the rulers of the past. Do you have any new discoveries to share regarding this?" Steve asked.
Before she could even answer, Steve explained to Judy about his kiss with Vivien, as well as everything that happened in the PK battle.
"Hmm… So you kissed again, without any reaction?" Judy asked for confirmation.
"Yes!" Steve said.
Judy was silent for a moment, then said in a solemn voice, "It's very likely that there's a ruler of the past lurking within her."
"What? There is a ruler of the past inside of her?" Steve asked in shock.
"Yes. The rulers of the past are strange. Every ruler controls different forces," Judy said, "Even if a ruler of the past is attached to her, it's normal that you could not sense it."
Steve listened to Judy as she talked about the rulers of the past. Anything that existed in the universe, whether it was time, s.p.a.ce, water, fire, love, greed and so on, a corresponding ruler of the past would be born to rule over it.
For instance, when living things felt hatred, a ruler of the past, who would be given the duty to control hatred, would be born. Similarly, the existence of water in the universe gave rise to the existence of a ruler of the past with the power over water. Whether it was tangible or intangible, even if it was just a feeling, as long as it existed, there would be a corresponding ruler of the past born to rule over it!
The existence of these things was very strange and nearly indescribable. Hearing this, Steve had to wonder…

"I don't know. And remember, we still don't know if Vivien even has a ruler inside her. It may be some other kind of power," Judy said. "As such, it's impossible to confirm whether Vivien is safe or not."
Steve was nervous, so he asked, "Is there any way to check on the state of her body?"
"There are instruments in the Apollo Battles.h.i.+p that can detect rulers of the past," Judy said.
"Please, examine her immediately!" Steve said.
If the hidden ruler of the past was indeed in Vivien's body, Steve wanted to know if it would be a danger to Vivien, and if so, Steve would certainly do something about it!
"Are you sure you want to examine her?" Judy asked. "After all, that is tantamount to telling her the secret of the Apollo Battles.h.i.+p!"
Steve's heart sank as he asked, "If I had to take her there to get her checked out, would you stop me?"
"You are now the successor of the Apollo Battles.h.i.+p, as well as the caretaker of the Star of Hope. If you have to bring her in, I won't stop you. But, you have to know that it you will be taking a big risk..." Judy said.
The more people that knew about the secret of the Apollo Battles.h.i.+p, the higher the risk of it being exposed would become. This was what Judy was alluding to.
"Maybe we find another way..." Steve said, clearly taking her warning under advis.e.m.e.nt.
After a while, Judy responded, "Well, on second thought, your approach is feasible. However, there are still several unpredictable risks."
"Never mind about them! Just do it," Steve said.
"As you wis.h.!.+" After Judy said this, she broke off contact with Steve and began to prepare.
At this time, Steve looked more relaxed. As the conversation just now was carried out in his subconscious state, Vivien was unaware of it.
