Steve was burning with rage. He had never thought that Martin would really call the police!

Looking at the faces of the two police officers, it was likely that they believed what Martin had said. But, it was not surprising, as he was indeed not dressed like a pharmacist!

"These serums were all cultivated by me, but how do you want me to prove it to you?" Steve said coldly.

"Look at yourself! How could you be a pharmacist?" Martin sneered. "Fine, take out your pharmacist certification then! Even if you're just a junior apprentice, you should have an apprentice certification from the guild."

"I just learned pharmaceutics by myself, so I don't have any certification," Steve said.

Martin laughed and mocked him, as soon as he heard that. "Hahaha, do you think we're idiots? Learned pharmaceutics by yourself! Do you think you're a genius or something? Moreover, being able to cultivate such a high quality serum by yourself! Did you think that we'd ever believe such a blatant lie?"

This time, even the two officers could not resist mocking him, as anyone with a bit of common sense would know that Steve was lying! Besides, this type of lie was simply foolis.h.!.+ Even Jasmine was shocked, as she never thought that someone would come up with such an idiotic lie either!

"I'm speaking the truth, whether matter you believe it or not," Steve said coldly. "Also, you guys have no evidence, so how can you prove that I'm a thief?"

"Hmph! Not shedding tears until you see the coffin, eh?" Officer John said coldly. "Miss Jasmine, please give us those bottles of serums as evidence."

Jasmine was put on the spot and said, "The serums are already on consignment and cannot be taken off the shelf during the consignment period. Unless…"

"Unless what?" the officer asked.

"Unless the manager approves and agrees to pay the penalty fees. Only then can they be taken off the shelves," Jasmine answered.

After the two officers discussed this for a moment, Officer John said, "In that case, could we please trouble you, Miss Jasmine, to call for your manager?"

Jasmine nodded and called the manager's phone. Martin saw this and laughed out loud, then said, "Haha, the thief's done for now! You can only blame your own foolishness, since you dared to go against me! You'll go to jail now!"

Even though he wasn't able to acquire the serums, just seeing Steve caught was enough to make Martin happy. As such, his expression turned even more arrogant and contemptuous.

"Hmph, we'll see! Let's see who gets caught in the end!" Steve said, not fearing anything.

The commotion had drawn quite a lot of attention from the customers, who had now all gathered around to watch the show. Once they understood what was happening, their eyes were filled with distaste and contempt for Steve. In their eyes, Steve was just a foolish thief.

On the other hand, the mall's manager, Duncan, was receiving E grade pharmacist Kenneth, when suddenly, his secretary walked in and reported the situation at the mall to him.

"What? Someone pretended to be a pharmacist and is selling their stolen goods at our mall?" Duncan was furious. "Don't let him go! Take his goods off the shelves immediately and hand him over to the police."

"Manager, we're just suspecting that he's a thief. There is no evidence yet," the secretary named Hailey said awkwardly.

"Aren't those four bottles of high quality serums evidence?" Kenneth suddenly interrupted and said coldly. "Fancy pretending to be a pharmacist in front of me, and even daring to sell off high quality stolen serums! Foolish thief! He needs to receive a severe punishment!"

Duncan did not expect Kenneth's reaction to be so intense, especially as he was in the midst of negotiating a business collaboration with Kenneth. It seemed very unprofessional!

"To think that Masa Mall would work together with a thief to sell stolen goods! Mr. Duncan, shouldn't you explain this matter? Our team needs to reevaluate Masa Mall's honor, if this is correct!" Kenneth said coldly.

Duncan's expression soured then.

Of all times, this had to happen now?! If Kenneth were to feel that Masa Mall is a place for thieves to dispose of their stolen goods, he might terminate our collaboration immediately!

"Mr. Kenneth please don't worry, we shall treat this matter seriously," Duncan a.s.sured him.

"No, I want to see how you handle this matter personally. If it is not satisfactory, we have no choice but to cancel this collaboration," Kenneth said severely.

In his eyes, a pharmacist was a n.o.ble occupation, and he would not allow anyone to sully its name, especially a thief, who pretended to be a pharmacist. It was unforgivable!

"Well then, Mr. Kenneth, please follow me and take a look for yourself," Duncan said calmly.

In his heart, he would like nothing more than to rip that d.a.m.ned thief apart. The both of them quickly reached the consignment area at the top of the mall.

Martin and Jasmine's faces immediately changed upon seeing the manager coming over personally. Martin went up to the pair of men with a polite smile and said, "Mr. Duncan, you came personally. You could've settled such a small matter with a phone call."

"Look at what you've done, as you've even startled Mr. Kenneth," Duncan said, as he glared furiously at Martin.

He knew of the things that Martin had done over the years, but he had decided to turn a blind eye on these matters, until now. But, since the situation that blew up today, he was sure that Martin was behind it.

"He's the E grade pharmacist, Mr. Kenneth?" A look of respect and fear flashed across Martin's face, as he looked at Kenneth, who was standing beside Duncan.

Normally, F grade pharmacists were considered to be very important people. E grade pharmacists were even more distinguished than F grades, which is why they are the ones that even the n.o.bles tries hard to please.

But, Martin smirked gleefully in his heart, as now that even Mr. Kenneth was here, Steve's charges would be even worse! The others bowed their heads in reverence and their expressions turned respectful, once they realized that the E grade pharmacist Kenneth had arrived.

Kenneth nodded towards the crowd and said coldly, "Where is the idiot thief, who dares to pretend to be a pharmacist?"

"Mr. Kenneth, it's him." Officer John pointed at Steve.

Kenneth's gaze turned towards Steve and, upon observing his attire, he believed the accusations immediately. Pharmacists were high cla.s.s people, after all, and would never be so unkempt!

"You're the one pretending to be a pharmacist? Do you know that pretending to be a pharmacist is a serious crime?" Kenneth said coldly.

Steve was not afraid at all and replied, neither haughtily nor humbly, "Firstly, I am not a thief, as the serums that I've consigned I made myself. Secondly, I did not pretend to be a pharmacist."

He was quick to clarify this, as he knew that pretending to be an acknowledged pharmacist was a serious crime that carried a minimum jail time of 10 years! However, Steve's explanations only sounded like excuses to them.

"You still refuse to admit to your crimes at a time like this?" Martin said coldly. "You can cultivate serums? Those four bottles of high quality serums are clearly stolen goods…"

Steve raised his brow and said, "I created those four bottles of enhanced Subatomic Serums, which are two times as potent as normal Subatomic Serums. There is no one else in this world who can cultivate anything like that!"

Steve then turned to the two officers and said, "I'd like to ask the two officers if anyone actually reported a loss of enhanced Subatomic Serums, anyway?"
