His luggage is already packed and formalities to leave hostel is complete. He will say goodbye to some friends in the hostel and He is also going to meet some friends at the railway station. He and his 3 friends are planning to go to Pune together where they will visit his home before going to their home cities.
He walked down the stairs and pa.s.sed the group of girls where she is standing with few of her friends and family. Her parents have also come. They are talking and laughing.
He wished that he was the one being introduced to her parents now. He could make her parents proud and make her happy. He felt pain in his heart. He hastened his steps to leave toward the boy's hostel.
She did not understand his reply and also did not give him a chance to explain. Although he did not say 'No', she took it as 'No'. She just turned and left while he was immersed in his own sadness.
She also did not ask why he said what he said. She did not even see that he was sad and depressed that day.
After coming back from vacation, she showed her engagement ring proudly to her friends. He felt like she was mocking him and showing it for him to see.
Only he knows how was this last year for him. He saw her talking on the phone many times and smiling. Her smiles were not for him anymore and he felt sad about that.
It was a fact that he was a failure and lost his first love. So, he never responded to the jeering or comments from her friends or whenever anyone made fun of him. He just smiled and kept silent on that.
Although it is painful, he has to say goodbye to his first love today. He can not trap himself into the feelings which were never reciprocated.
He ridiculed himself and those who mocked him silently. What if he lost his first love? It was not only his mistake. She was equally responsible. If she is not sad, he will also not be sad anymore. He is happy that he still did his best in academics and made his family proud. He is a gold medalist and record breaker.
He pa.s.sed her group and left them behind. He thought while walking on campus road. He is only 23 this year. He has enough time to meet a girl who will be innocent and beautiful, whose laughter will feel like music. That girl will love him more than anyone else. She will understand him and support like his grandmother understands and supports his grandfather. He can still have a beautiful love story of himself.
Arus.h.i.+ is too prideful. If she would have joined his family, she will definitely hurt the feelings of his mother and grandmother. Now he will find a girl which will suit his thoughts and will be loved by his own beloved grandmother and help in keeping the environment in family harmonious and happy.

Akash is again back to his proud, confident and arrogant self. He is Akash Patel and his aim is as he says for himself 'Under the blue sky, I will be the tallest.' This catchphrase of his is famous among his fellow students and teachers and no one doubts it.
