After Akash and Varsha are decided to go to the party which is being held on 15th October which is just more than a week away, Grandpa and Grandma will occasionally point out few things for Varsha to learn and remember.

One day at the dinner table when everyone is eating, Akash saw Ira being mischievous and said "Your sister-in-law will be going to the party next week. It is her first time attending such type of gathering and she might be feeling nervous. You should be telling her what type of people she might see and how to interact with them. Stop your childish act and do something serious."

Ira pouted and said "What is there to be serious? I feel like high-cla.s.s people are all show-off and no one acts genuinely. I believe sister-in-law is way better than them as she is."

Akash looked at his sister calmly and then said after a few seconds "Then teach her how to act fake. She can be herself with family but she should also understand those people. This way no one will be able to take advantage of her."

Varsha is looking and listening to the interaction of Ira and Akash. Akash has taken initiative and talking because he thought about her which made her happy. She has rarely seen Akash talking this much and she is enjoying their conversation which seems more like bickering.

After sometime Grandpa said in a stern voice "Stop." and looked toward Ira and said in the same tone "You have to teach Varsha few things about how to act in front of those people and discuss among yourself which dress will suit her to go to the party."

Ira saw the serious expression of both Akash and Grandpa and replied timidly "Yes Grandpa."

Seeing the meek appearance of Ira, even Varsha felt bad and looked toward Grandma who has also noticed. She laughed and said, "Only our darling Ira can make both Akash and Old man lose their cool." Then she nudged Grandpa and said, "Now you stop acting so strict."

"If I don't make that expression, will anyone be able to stop her? Haha" Grandpa suddenly changed his expression and laughed.

Ira pouted and said "You almost made me cry. I won't talk to you."

"Okay, okay. Don't talk. But accompany your sister-in-law and tell her the things I said." Akash said.

"Okay, okay. I will do the same as you have wished." Ira copied the same expression of Akash and said making Varsha and other ladies smile.

Now the topic of learning etiquette has become a focal point between Ira and Varsha. Even Akshay will join them in discussions in the garden or at breakfast or during dinner. Girls are very sly, they will jest and make fun of things outside but will become serious about etiquette learning in front of Akash and elders.

One day, Ira and Varsha are doing the cleaning and tr.i.m.m.i.n.g work in the flower garden. Varsha is collecting the fallen leaves and petals into the basket while Ira is concentrating on pruning and tr.i.m.m.i.n.g work.

Varsha looked at Ira and said while laughing "Miss Etiquette Teacher!"

Ira heard Varsha and looked toward her with a twinkle in her eyes and said "Yes, my dear student. Are you suddenly in the mood of your next etiquette lesson."

"Haha. How about revision today." Varsha said.

Ira made an expression of thinking and then said: "How about you tell one point how socialites behave and I will add another."

Varsha started pondering and before she could say, Ira said "Wait, wait. I will say first. Keep your nose high and never admit your mistakes."

Varsha almost dropped her basket which she picked up to move to another row of flowers. What did Ira just say? She remembered the topic is about how socialites behave. Seeing mischievous expression of Ira, Varsha laughed and said while picking a few leaves "Find someone to take blames for you."

Ira giggled and added, "Start shouting if you feel like you are going to lose an argument."

"Use English while scolding people or any show-off. Use bad English to make them speechless. Haha." Varsha laughed and added.

Ira laughed "Ha ha ha. Defy common logic by never using common sense. Always use the money to solve problems."

Varsha thought for a few seconds and then said calmly "Humanity and kindness are the things used by cheap people."

Both girls looked into the eyes of each other and laughed heartily after this. Ira left her scissors and pruning tool and ran to Varsha and pulled her to sit in the gra.s.s. Both girls are feeling breathless after laughing too much.

Ira took a long breath and said "People are stupid and always do annoying things. I don't want my sweet sister-in-law to learn those things. Just be yourself and be with brother and he will take care of things."

Varsha looked toward Ira and then extended her hands to remove few straws which were stuck in her hair and looked into her eyes and smiled and said "Yes, I know. This high-cla.s.s thing is very absurd to me. I will just follow your brother."

Ira looked toward Varsha and her lips curled up a bit and she said "Oho, This high cla.s.s is too low cla.s.s for my sister-in-law. Have you been reading web novels nowadays." She asked persuasively "Tell me, Tell me. I am curious. Did you like romance in those novels? Is my naive and innocent sister-in-law also becoming naughty? He hehe."

The cheeks of Varsha turned red and she said "Stop your nonsense. Did you not tell me to read those novels to understand things. If you have learned from those stupid stories, then it's better to be the way I am."

"Ha ha ha. Didn't I say before? My sister-in-law is the best already." Ira laughed and said.

Varsha looked at the cheery girl beside her and said with a sigh "But most of these romance stories are emotional torture. The leads never talk out their heart with each other. They hurt and ridicule each other and stay with other people but never open up to each other. These writers just believe in making hundreds of chapters by stretching the logic out of the reach of human mind. Better to die than be the main lead of such type of romance."

Seeing the expression of Varsha, Ira nudged her and said with a smile "Aren't you and brother behaving the same way? Don't blame those stories or story writers, all people in love automatically become stupid."

Varsha fell silent for a few minutes and then said with a sigh "No, I am not stupid. I know what I want. I am just being cautious and waiting before your brother stops feeling discontent. We are already married to each other, So it will only get better." She then patted Ira's head and said: "Never compare me to the female lead of those stupid novels."

Ira giggled and then hugged Varsha and said "Okay, okay. I won't." Then she turned her face toward Varsha and said calmly "What about food and drinks? Have you thought how would you say 'No' because you can't eat food as it is prepared and served together with non-vegetarian food? And you also do not wish to drink an alcoholic beverage."

Varsha smiled and said "I am lucky. This party is during Navratri. I will be on fast during those nine days. So, I can only take water, nothing else. It is good that no one in our family eats non-veg or drinks alcohol."

Ira laughed and then said "My dear student! You are quite observant and you have also learned how to make excuses. I confirm that you have graduated in 'Etiquette education for high cla.s.s'. Ha ha ha."

Varsha also laughed and then she sighed and said "I also feel like this etiquette teaching is of no use, we are good as we are. I hope your brother does not scold me."

Ira stood up and dabbed off the straws from her back and ran to finish her work and said: "Let us not think of useless things and finish the work before the dark." Varsha also laughed and stood up to finish her work.
