That night Varsha wanted to talk to Akash but due to the way she acted in the evening, she felt it out of place to start a conversation with him at the moment. Akash also wanted to ask her how is she feeling or what made her feel listless. But he could not ask her because he did not wish to feel awkward like evening when he talked to her but she did not respond.

Akash thought of party when she played Mahat Pawar in her words or when she talked and laughed with Swati or when she ran to hold his arm. He smiled thinking of that and wished she will recover from her gloomy mood and they can have another chance to go out and be open with each other. He did not wish to make amends at home and lose his self-esteem and pride in front of the whole family.

On the other side of the bed, Varsha is also thinking of their happy memories of the party and she wandered why is he so aloof at home. Slowly both of them drifted away in the dreamland.

When Varsha came down in the morning for breakfast, there is another guest already present in the hall who is chatting and laughing with Grandpa and Grandma. Varsha has wanted to inform Grandpa and Grandma for their outing plan but it seems now she does not have to do that.

Varsha walked over and smiled seeing Swati happily chatting with Grandpa and Grandma and asked: "When did you come?"

Swati just laughed seeing Varsha and Grandpa replied on her behalf "Varsha Dear! You have made a good friend. Haha. I and your Grandma both like her."

Varsha also sat beside Swati and then asked Grandpa curiously "Grandpa! How can it be? She just met you and she has already won you both. It is unfair to me."

Grandma laughed and said "Haha. It is not just a few minutes. She has been here already for more than 1 hour. You were busy preparing up in the room and we were outside most of the time. Your Grandpa showed her around the property. We just came inside 15 minutes back."

Varsha made a surprised cry "And you also showed her around. You certainly love her more than me."

Grandma looked lovingly at the Varsha who is trying to be playful and said "How can anyone in this world compare to our Dear Varsha in our heart." then she laughed and asked Grandpa "Tell her how Swati came in the morning." Varsha also became curious and looked toward Grandpa waiting for his response.

Hearing Grandma, Grandpa laughed and said "Around 6:30 AM we were doing our morning walk and when pa.s.sed on the footpath in front of the gate, she was standing there outside the gate. When she saw us she knocked on the gate. When we looked toward her she said 'Grandpa, Grandma! I am a friend of Varsha. She has called me to come. We have made a plan to go out today. Please open the gate.' Haha." And then he laughed more and said "And this girl, she also pulled out her ID card and said 'Here is my ID card. My name is Swati.' Hahaha."

Even Varsha and Grandma laughed. Swati made a face and said "What would I do if Grandpa and Grandma did not believe me and asked me to go. Wouldn't it be a waste? I was so excited to visit Patel family house that I woke up at 5:00 AM and begged my roommate to drop me so early. Now I have come early so we can also start early to go visit Singhgadh."

Grandpa and Grandma both asked in unison surprised "Singhgadh?"

Seeing the surprised expression of Grandpa and Grandma, Varsha felt a bit guilty about not telling them in the evening itself. Singhgadh is about 35 kilometres from Pune and of course, Grandpa and Grandma might feel it is too far for girl's outing. She smiled embarra.s.singly and said in a meek tone "Grandpa! Grandma! I am sorry for not telling you earlier. We also just planned for this yesterday evening itself."

Before Grandpa and Grandma could say anything, the Voice of Akash came from behind "Is Ira also going with you? Take Akshay as well along with you."

Swati turned her head to see Akash and asked "Of course she is going. And what about you? Don't you want to go out with your wife?"

Akash walked and sat beside Grandma on the sofa and said awkwardly "Who wouldn't like a holiday? But I have some crucial work pending which might need me to be regular in office for at least 2-3 weeks."

Varsha was hopeful to hear his reply but she grimaced listening to his reply which felt like evading. She looked toward Swati with her dull expression. Swati gritted her teeth and said "Excuses. You are good with excuses."

Grandpa and Grandma smiled seeing Swati fighting with Akash for Varsha. Akash felt helpless due to Swati's words and said "What I am saying is correct. No excuses." Then he looked toward Varsha who has turned silent and said "Varsha! I am not making excuses. Okay? I promise after one month I will take you wherever you want to go."

Varsha felt elated hearing the words of Akash and it seems it is hard for her to suppress her smile. She avoided looking toward Akash and turned toward Swati and smiled and said "Okay."

Although Varsha is trying to hide her smile Grandpa and Grandma could feel it from her word. Akash felt like he got played by these girls. But before he could relax, Swati said "What okay? You just said 2-3 weeks but you are promising for after 1 month. Where is logic in that?"

Akash felt like it was the wrong decision to come down for breakfast today. He felt helpless and looked toward Grandpa and said "Please Grandpa! You explain what is there after 3 weeks. I am really lost now."

Grandpa laughed and said while looking toward girls "Dear! There is really an important deal."

"Is it really that important?" Swati asked.

Varsha looked helplessly and felt like Swati is being too meddlesome but Grandpa smiled and said "Of course, there is nothing more important than making our dear Varsha happy. But the time and date of this deal signing are already decided. This deal we have been trying to close for the last year. I started the discussion with those people of hotel business But Akash is going to take care of the final proposal and deal signing. If we could close this deal, our Patel family can start into the hospitality business and that too in famous tourist destinations of Thailand, Singapore, Cambodia and Maldives."

Varsha nudged Swati to stop and said apologetically toward Grandpa "I know Grandpa. Sorry."

"Why are you sorry? Everyone already knows the chatty nature of your friend." Akash murmured and everyone laughed. Swati looked scornfully toward Akash which made another wave of laughter.

Suddenly Ira came out from her room and ran to sit between Swati and Varsha. She laughed and said "Sister-in-law! I really like your friend. The one who is making everyone laugh and can fight brother is definitely an interesting person."

Swati also looked at the bubbly girl and said: "You are really adorable."

Akash muttered, "Be with her for some time and your adorable will become a handful." Now it is the turn of Ira to make face toward Akash and everyone else to laugh.

Slowly everyone came and sat on the breakfast table. Many people are seeing Swati for the first time who is sitting beside Varsha. Grandpa looked at everyone's curious gazes and coughed and then said: "We have a new person here." He looked toward Swati and said, "She is Swati and she is the friend of Varsha."

Many people including youngest uncle and mother and aunts of Akash looked toward and smiled at Swati in acknowledgement. Eldest uncle looked toward Swati and felt like this girl is really close to Varsha. He felt strange seeing Varsha sitting between Ira and Swati. He looked toward Swati and said, "And how did you become a friend of Varsha?" Then he looked toward Grandpa and said: "We need to be cautious of people before making them join our family events."

The way the eldest uncle asked gave not a good vibe to Swati. She looked toward Varsha and then Ira and from their expression, she understood many things. Grandpa wished to respond but seeing Swati willing to say something, he held back.

Swati looked toward eldest uncle and said proudly "Of course, it won't be some simple meeting. I was presenting my business idea and she liked it. She wanted to invest in my business idea and of course, the person who likes my thoughts will be liked by me. And she is such an innocent person. So, I decided that I have to be her friend and protect her."

Grandma laughed and asked, "Protect her?"

Swati laughed and then she looked toward eldest uncle and said "Of course. She is investing in my venture. So, of course, I have to protect her. This way I am protecting my investment." Then she laughed and winked at Ira making Ira also laugh.

Even Varsha laughed at the reply of Swati. Almost everyone on the table laughed hearing the reply of Swati and Eldest uncle and Arpit made a look of contempt at this chatty girl. Everyone almost ignored the eldest uncle who asked the question.

Everyone continued their breakfast. After sometime Grandpa coughed to get everyone's attention and said while looking toward Varsha "Akshay will accompany you girls. He will look out for you if some problem arises." And then he looked toward Akshay.

Akshay is already a fan of his sister-in-law and his bike is still pending which Grandpa has promised. He looked excited and nodded the moment Grandpa looked toward him.

Chatty Swati commented "To shoo off the boys, right? Haha. We definitely need that." And then she looked toward Akshay and said "You boy! Remember, this is your duty."

Grandpa laughed and looked toward Swati and said "You girl! I like you more and more. We really need someone like you around Varsha. Visit us more often. It's good to have you around."

"Well, I have already decided that. Food is so tasty. I will try lunch next time. Haha." Swati said making everyone smile.

Arpit gave his warning gaze toward Akshay but got ignored. He tried again but Akshay made the excuse to prepare for the trip with the girls and left the table. Ira giggled seeing this. Akash looked at this but did not say anything. He only needs to look out for that naive girl who is laughing foolishly sometimes and eating unaware of what is going on in everyone's mind.

During the breakfast itself, girls decided that they will take the bus to the Singhgadh because the scenery on the way is also beautiful to look and it feels extra pleasant travelling by bus. After breakfast, everyone got ready for their work and girls got ready for their trip. Akash dropped them himself at the bus stand in his SUV.

Akash advised them and especially Akshay to give him a call if anything urgent and he can call his acquaintances in the area to provide help if needed.

Akash felt complicated because he also wanted to go out and resolve whatever issue he has with Varsha. But he also needed to finish the pending things in the office and then sign hotel deal to make Grandpa happy. He saw Varsha and others off to Singhgadh and then he drove to the office.
