Hiro seeing the warrior dive at him, he unleashed his The Yellow Flash: Lightning Zone. This technique allowed him to create a 10x10 meter zone that amplified his electric attacks. All the mana that was in the area changed into lightning mana.
The Avatar struck out with his spear. Hiro blocked it with his sword infused with electricity. The heat from this one exchange made those low-level warriors near them back off. Hiro was shaking from the power of the avatar warrior and was barely hanging on.
The draconian activated a point-blank Dragon Art: Dragon Inferno from the tip of his spear. The result caused an explosion blasting Hiro away. Hiro slammed into a nearby crashed aircraft and spat up a bunch of blood. This one blow broke three ribs and burned most of his armor. He knew fighting a warrior above his realm would be difficult, but he didn't think he would be this strong.
Hiro wiped away the blood with his arm and stood up, looking around. In the last attack, he lost track where the Avatar warrior disappeared too.
"HIRO! Above..."
Another Dragon Art: Dragon Inferno rained down upon Hiro. He swung his sword launching a Kaze Raiken only for it to be swallowed by the giant fireball. The fire mana attack engulfed Hiro and exploded.
As the dust settled, the draconian smiled at his inevitable victory. When the smokescreen vanished, two silhouettes were standing in the blast radius. The draconian's frown quickly replaced his smile.
The fire burned Hiro's body, but he was still alive. At the last second, the new arrival saved him. With what energy he had left, Hiro whispered, "Thanks, Reiner..."
"Rest for now, Hiro." The Blood Knight placed Hiro upright on the ground. He looked over to Lucy, "My sweet niece, can you get Hiro out of here?"
She smiled despite exhausted and nodded. Grabbing Hiro, She and he escaped.
"Now...for hurting my people you shall learn what it means to anger me." A black and red engulfed the two warriors separating them from the world.
"What is going on?"
"This is my blood domain." Reiner's dark-red armor made him look like the king of h.e.l.l at this moment. Reiner pulled out his artifact weapon that was a scythe. His ancestors, who wielded the weapon in the past were called the Grim Reapers.
The peggian disguised as the draconian soul was starting to be affected by the domain, and his technique was beginning to come undone. The warrior attacked with his spear to kill this new enemy before the area devoured his soul.
The two weapons clashed, and sparks flew from the scythe and spear. Reiner was the only human to train from a kid in the ways of cultivation and scythe techniques. His foundation was steady, and his technique was reliable. The peggian was having a difficult time landing a single strike.
If he couldn't defeat the human with spear movements, then he would use his mana attacks. "Dragon Art: Dragon's Wheel." Spinning with his spear extended a circle of a serpent made of flames formed and sped towards the Blood Knight.
The foundation of Reiner's abilities was in controlling water and death elemental manas. Reiner quickly created a barrier to block the a.s.sault, and once the fire serpent smashed into it, steam expanded outward. Leaping out of the steam, Reiner used a move the first guardian of Lilith's created.
"River of Souls!" Shouted Reiner. The scythe moved like a swan dancing on a lake. Each movement was slow but precise. Once his scythe got near, the warrior felt its real power. It was a physical and mental a.s.sault in one technique.
The enemy tried blocking the attacks only to receive a backlash on every repeated slash. The death mana from the scythe attacked his body, making it sluggish. Seeing his technique working, Reiner executed the finisher, Phantom Slayer. The user becomes an illusion and attacks from the rear.
Before the peggian knew what was happening, he lost his head. Reiner's finis.h.i.+ng move sliced off the enemy's head from behind. Reiner released his domain as he exhaled. Activating and holding his area took a toll on him. He placed his scythe on the headless corpse, and the artifact began absorbing the blood. The scythe and it's draining function was what allowed past guardians to train in cultivation even when there was no mana in abundance.
Reiner looked at the scared forces before him, and he gave them an eerie smile. Lifting his scythe, the blood knight vanished and started a killing spree. In no time at all, he slew the entire left flank. After absorbing each soldier's blood, the scythe began to look dark red.
Seeing the entire left flank obliterated, the commander sent some of his guards over. The three Avatar warriors arrived quickly to see ma.s.s or corpses before them.
Reiner looked up and knew this was going to be difficult. He started to channel his mana when a familiar voice yelled out to him.
"Blood Knight. We are finished in the north. We will take on two of them."
Reiner turned around and saw an airs.h.i.+p with the old Team Blood and Zodiac staring at him. He smiled and yelled out, "Renegades, get them!"
Paulus, Martta, and Tai Sun attacked the Avatar warrior on the right, and Ka Ling, Du Yi, and Zi Xin attacked the one on the left. Reiner followed after and attacked the middle warrior. The three warriors sensed they were in trouble, but it was too late to escape.
The peggians didn't know that the north was settled because the beastmen learned the truth. The fake draconians had tricked the beastmen into attacking the Divine Kingdom. Now they had moved into behind the draconians closing off their escape.
With the humans from the Divine kingdom and the beastmen attacking from both sides, the pretend draconian force was finished. The commander of the peggian army fled before Charmaine and Paziel could team up and entrap him. The two powers agreed on a temporary truce while they gathered up the wounded, and the beastmen army departed.
