"RAIKEN!"
A beastman with his face covered jumped from the stands and pulled out a steel katana. Lightning wrapped around the blade and the beastman sliced the blast in half. The s.p.a.ce-attack was destroyed but put a lot of strain on the one who jumped out.
The beastman took off his face wrap to reveal he was a human in disguise. "I'm taking this human and draconian with me."
The Collector looked down and asked, "you and what army?"
Hiro smiled and pressed a trigger switch. Over one hundred explosives all over the stadium and colony exploded at once. Disappearing in the smoke, Hiro grabbed Leo and Itmen under each arm and escaped. Outside the stadium, he jumped into his getaway vehicle and raced off.
Two hover-s.h.i.+ps came out of nowhere. "Fire at that s.h.i.+p!" A beastman driver yelled and then maxed out the speed of the craft.
Plasma blast started bombarding Hiro's craft. "d.a.m.n beastmen. They don't know when to give up." Hiro held up a bomb and threw it into the air.
As the two crafts were speeding up, the explosive caught them off guard and blew up both their vehicles. Each transport crashed off to the side.
"I guess we are free."
Pulling up to his s.p.a.cecraft, Hiro saw three hovercrafts and several beastmen searching it.
"d.a.m.n it. I guess I have to clear out some pest."
Hiro jumped out of the craft and walked towards the group of beastmen. ~Reporting fleeing human who destroyed most of the colony~ The beastmen looked over and saw Hiro walking towards them. A beastman asked, "Is this a coincidence? Unit 1355, is this escaping human?"
'Beastmen leave now, or I won't show mercy." Flickers of lightning started to pop around Hiro.
A bear variant beastman was p.i.s.sed. How dare a human talk to him like that. The pudgy beastman in grey beastmen armor barked, "Units get him."
Five Mana Fighters charged at Hiro. He unsheathed his sword and mumbled, "Riaken," under his breath. A thunder slash swept out and sliced all five of them in half with the one slash. "You over there, how do you wish to be cut?"
"Bear Release!" The beastman jumped into the sky to Paw Strike Hiro.
Hiro smiled and responded, "down the middle it is." Channeling a new type of mana into the blade, Hiro yelled, "Kaze Slash," and unleashed the attack upon the beastman. A mana blade of wind cut the beastman directly down the middle.
Hiro walked back and drove his hovercraft onto the s.h.i.+p. Once the craft was loaded, he grabbed Leo and the draconian out and put them in a recovery room.
Hiro's s.h.i.+p floated up and took off. Flying over North America, Hiro received a message.
~Incoming Messge~ "Captain 1st Rank Nak.u.mura respond."
"This is Thunder Knight. I have completed my mission. The beastmen home base was successfully infiltrated and sabotaged. I also found a human warrior with strength on par with a Mana Fighter. Also snagged a draconian prisoner."
"Good job, come home immediately. We are sending you the coordinates of the s.h.i.+ps now."
A handheld computer received the coordinates, and Hiro punched them in. The s.h.i.+p flew across North America until they hit the Pacific Ocean. Then they sailed across the ocean and some islands until a fleet of five metal boats in the sea came into view.
Hiro landed his s.p.a.ces.h.i.+p on the carrier and walked out. He told the aircrew on deck about the two inside and went in to report to the Fleet Admiral.
"Reporting for after mission brief, Sir," Hiro said staring at Fleet Admiral Nightingale.
"Vice Admiral Reiner is currently away on his mission, so just give me a brief story for now."
"Well sir, I was a.s.signed to infiltrate the beastmen stronghold two months ago. In that time, I killed a beastman and replaced him in his day to day operations. While undercover, I placed explosives around the base. Then I heard reports of strong prisoners being forced to fight to the death in the arena. Using their grudge against the beastmen, I was going to cause a revolt. Then a warrior by the name Panthera Knight was unmasked, and he was a human. A human Tempered Warrior fought almost a month against Mana Fighters and a Few Core Builders and still survived. In his last match, he killed Unit 1's son and the beastman in charge of the arena attacked him. Somehow a Tempered warrior blocked an Avatar's full attack and still live. So, I jumped in and saved him. I ignited the bombs and escaped."
Fleet Admiral Nightingale pondered if this was the right call. An inside man was useful in this war, but a new human knight could also provide a boost in strength.
"Since Reiner is out, I will a.s.sign the boy to your team. Lucy has been waiting patiently for your return. You may train and recover until a week from today. Then I will a.s.sign your team a new mission."
"Yes, Sir."
"Oh and Hiro. a.s.sign the Captain 3rd Rank and the alias, Panthera Knight to the boy. I like the name so let us keep it."
"Yes, Sir."
Hiro walked down the corridor and Lucy was leaning against the wall. The girl wore an old naval outfit that made her blue eyes sparkle. Her long blonde hair was tied up in a messy bun. She looked at Hiro and smiled.
"Welcome back Hiro. I heard you brought back a human. That is a first for you. You normally only leave bodies where you go."
"Well, I saw a little myself in him so I couldn't help myself. Oh, and he looks about your age Lucy. It looks like you might have some compet.i.tion," Hiro jested.
"Like anyone could be my match. Well except maybe you and Mr. Reiner." Lucy responded with a wink. "I think I'll go see this boy for myself."
"Well don't do anything weird to him. He is our teammate now."
"Don't worry. I won't do anything that causes permanent harm," she replied. She then turned and started skipping down the hall.
Hiro shook his head. Even though she was always mischievous and the Fleet Admirals daughter, underneath was a Peak Stage Mana Fighter. Hiro decided to head to his room to recover until dinner.
Lucy walked into recovery bay and stared at the boy on the bed. "Miss Nightingale, it is not ok for you to be in here."
"Move, or I will make you move," Lucy responded with her sweetest voice possible. The doctor trembled and backed up.
She looked down at the boy. His black hair was short and messy. She touched his tan skin that was baked by the sun. She traced his beaten and bruised body with her eyes. She then looked at boys wrist and saw a broken watch.
To herself, she thought, "this is a G.o.d artifact! Where did this boy get something like that?" She thought for a bit and decided to ask him when he woke up. "Doc, if the boy wakes up to notify me right after you tell Papa. Ok?"
The doctor shook his head. "Yes, mam."
Lucy smiled and walked out of the recovery bay. Thinking to herself, she whispered, "I think I'm going to like this new teammate."
