In Leo's mind, he saw out onto a vast mountain range. All around he viewed everything. Instead of exploring, Leo sat down and enjoyed the scenery.
"This is a first," Aarav said while staring at Leo. "Most people are usually rejected by now."
Lucy smiled at Leo and decided to find her own pillar to check out. She looked around and walked over to the only other pillar with someone not at. It was the Death Pillar. Lucy instantly touched it and was accepted by the post.
Aarav couldn't believe his eyes. In the time it took to burn a match, Lucy was accepted and was teleported to the next domain.
"Aarav tell Leo, I will see him when he catches up." Lucy winked at him, and a vortex swallowed her up, and she was gone.
Aarav wasn't the only one stunned. Everyone there including the mermanians lined up for the Water Pillar was amazed. Not even one of them were ever accepted that fast.
"These two are going to leave me behind. I guess it time to test my luck at the Water Pillar myself." Aarav couldn't believe how easy Lucy made it look and even Leo was giving a good go at it himself.
Aarav got in the long line for water element. He wouldn't even get a good go t it until probably late in the afternoon.
In Leo's mind, Leo was still sitting in the same spot. He watched as new mountain came to be and old ones destroyed. It was almost as time was sped up and he was watching the forming and erosion of earth. The gave Leo the feeling of when he attended the buffalo with joe. It was peaceful.

Lankani was watching as each one of them tried each trial from the sky above. Two other figures floated up beside the guardian.
"The new girl that just arrived was already accepted. She seems fierce," the woman figure said.
"She actually could have pa.s.sed any pillar test she tried," the guardian said with a smile.
"She is a paragon! Since we have been here, we have never seen one," the male figure said. Then the male figure noticed a boy at the earth pillar. "Oh finally someone taking on the earth pillar. He seems to be doing pretty good too."
"He came here with the Paragon. He is not very strong law comprehension or talent wise, but he has patience and a calm mind for how young he is." The female looked on with praise.
"You two look." Lankani pointed to Aarav. "The boy blessed by the law of water finally going to tackle the pillar. He will be accepted just as fast as the paragon was too."
"Lankani, you got pretty lucky. These three haven't been here even a year yet. They are going to shake things up in the 2nd domain."
"Good. The partic.i.p.ants in that domain need a little motivation. The pressure these three will provide might allow some to find a path to advance," Lankani responded. He felt so disappointed in the humans who had entered in the last 200 years. Very few made it the 3rd domain, and even less than that are in the 4th. As of now, not a single human or mermanian pa.s.s all the trials to leave.
--------------------------------
No one in the first domain knew they were being watched, especially not Leo. He was unbeknownst to the world. Leo slowly started thinking that to pa.s.s the trial he would need to form his own mountain. He was just about to start when other elements were introduced to the scenery.
He watched the rain wash away the soil, the wind carve at the mountains, the sun bakes the rocks, and cold cracks the stones.
Almost the entire day went by, and Leo was still at the pillar touching it.
Aarav was even amazed by Leo's tenacity. It was almost his turn to try out the pillar.
Goutheesh walked over to Aarav and put his hand on his shoulder. "Don't worry about your friend. If he doesn't pa.s.s the trial, we will take good care of him." The elder gave Aarav a rea.s.suring smile, and the mermanian in front of him failed his trial.
"Thank you, Elder." Aarav walked forward and touched the pillar. Even faster than Lucy, the pillar accepted him. He looked over at Leo and wished him the best of luck before he was teleported away.
A man walked up to Goutheesh and asked, "is the boy, Leo, going to be ok? No one has ever been at any pillar that long."
"Don't worry he give off the aura of a tiger. Nothing is too big or too small for him to challenge. Let us wait till he finishes."
In Leo's mind, Leo stood up from the spot he was sitting at. "I have watched these mountains for what felt like a millennium. Now, I will try to create my own."
Leo started to circulate all the mana he could muster. All of the mana in the area flew to him. He spread out both arms and yelled, "Earth Control." This was the first time Leo was using the technique without the metal orb.
The ground started to shake. All the land around Leo was cracking and moving. Leo couldn't correctly use this much mana and let alone use Earth Control without the orb on this scale.
Sweat was pouring down his head, and his brain felt like it was trying to do too many things at once. Something snapped inside of Leo's brain, and he fell unconscious. The forceful disconnected of his mind caused a rebound in the real world.
Leo was repelled from the pillar and sent flying. Goutheesh was scared witless. Never in his life had anyone been hurt in the trials. "Men hurry and tend to Leo. I am afraid he injured himself.
Several men ran over and looked Leo over. Besides looking drained of mana and exhausted, Leo looked fine on the exterior.
--------------------------------
"Lankani! What happened to that boy?" the male figure asked. He was worried the first person to have the pillar disastrously rejected such mighty earth mana user.
"I don't know. The trials are not supposed to do any harm. It only tests your affinity with elements." Lakani looked on with amazement. He had been running this palace for years, and nothing like that had ever happened.
"I think the boy will be alright. He has the blood of a lion and stubbornness of a rock. He will wake tomorrow and attempt the test again." The female figure said this as she had known the boy all his life. Really, it was a gut feeling.
The boy reminded her of her someone she used to ride with into battle all her life. She knew this small set back wouldn't stop him.
