"Yes, I do. Do you want me to bring its carca.s.s to you?"
Charir-Dar was surprised by its directness. It seemed like this metal man was astute and guessed at what he meant when he asked about the Deicide.
"Yes. I will await at these coordinates." Charir-Dar handed him a draconian communication device. "If you bring me the corpse of the Deicide, I will present you the jungle territory, and none of my men will attack you.
Seeing that this machine man was a peak Avatar Establishment warrior, it was better to win them over then destroy them especially since these other races seemed powerful. It wasn't a bad idea to have a new ally. The only thing was Charir-Dar was not going to grant anything out of the kindness of his heart.
"I will meet you there in 33.5 hours," Zero responded.
---------------------------------
"You killed the Deicide, Master?"
"Of course not, Jira. I train in the way of life. I found an ocean creature's corpse and gave it to Charir-Dar at the appointed time."
"What happened to the Deicide?" Leo understood where the android was coming from, but this creature is a threat to his planet.
"I know it landed nearby, but it disappeared after hatching."
"You let a monster that destroys civilizations go free! What is wrong with you?"
"Leo, it is not right to question my Master."
Zero was curious at this human's reaction. Why was he mad suddenly? "Human, I do not kill aimlessly. Those beasts came here just like the other races. You don't see me trying to kill them."
This reply just irritated Leo more. He calmed himself down knowing that this machine just gave him new arms and he owed him after thinking about it calmly, Leo kind of understood the androids side of things. This ma.s.s of rock wasn't even his planet after all. He was just here to study the event that happens.
"Well then, I a.s.sume Charir-Dar has left you alone since."
"For the most part yes. The draconian king sent a messenger a while back to inform me. He would like a report on the beast and terrain in my territory. He is building something and needs this planet's natural metals."
Jira nodded his head. He was that very draconian messenger. After being rescued by his Master, Jira delivered some notes Zero jotted down to the draconian legion. To Zero's surprise, Jira returned and asked to become his apprentice.
"Well then, Human Leo, do you have any other questions?" Zero waited, but it seemed Leo didn't have any. "Since you don't, lay down real fast." Zero arms slammed Leo back down on the table more than gently lay him back down. Before Leo could even respond, his eyes started to burn.
"Ahhh what are you doing..." Leo paused and looked up. He held both arms up to look at his bionic hands. He could see.
"Zero nodded his head in satisfaction. "Alright. You said you would work off your debt to me. Good. Take this communicator and head to these coordinates. After talking about the Deicide, I want to study its rock and sh.e.l.l that it left behind."
Leo was thrown for one loop after another. This android was all over the place. Now, his eyesight had returned, and he felt at awe. Leo nodded his head to the machine and got off the table.
"Jira, go with him to help carry more back."
"Yes, Master."
Jira went over to grab a knapsack. Leo, on the other hand, was adjusting to his new eyes and arms. Jira placed his hand on Leo back and said, "we need to hurry before it gets dark."
Understanding the sooner he repaid his debt, the sooner he could leave, Leo nodded and followed Jira.
The two of them moved through the forest quickly. Jira using life mana, he was able to detect monsters before they ran upon them. This trick allowed the two of them to get to the destination without any problems.
Climbing up a ridge and across a river, Leo and Jira looked upon a large crater. At the bottom, there was a puddle of water with several crystals in it. The outer casing of the Deicide egg is made entirely of crystal.
A group of mammals was drinking from craters water. These animals used to be the capybara. After mana returned and drinking the Deicide's egg water, they evolved into some new carnivorous creature with purple fur.
These new creatures actually preyed upon the same predators that once hunted it.
Sensing how powerful these creatures were Jira motioned Leo to back up. The mana fluctuations told Leo they used a law of Mana he didn't know, and he didn't want to find out as he just awoke from his last fight.
Jira accidentally stepped on a twig which alerted the group of Deicide Capybara. All the beasts executed a teleport movement technique, and Jira and Leo were surrounded.
The purple rodents slowly started to encroach on them, and Leo prepared himself for a fight. All of a sudden, a horrible screech bellowed out from the jungle. The howl made Jira and Leo fell terror all the way to their bones. The Deicide Capybara decided to scram. They all scurried off in a hurry.
"I don't know about you, but I don't want to find the monster behind that howl."
Leo nodded but activated his earth control. A Deicide crystal flew into his hand. "We can't return empty-handed."
Jira smiled, and the two of them headed back to the s.h.i.+p. The entire way again it felt like the two of them had a shadow following them. This feeling was something they couldn't shake, and they turned around almost every five seconds.
To their left, a giant anaconda slithered out of the bush and came face to face with Leo and Jira.
