Did... did the brat treat Lu Yi Feng as a suspect?! The old man felt the sweat on his back and quickly smacked Officer Li's head. Officer Li was surprised by the sudden smack and looked at his boss feeling wronged. "Boss... what are you doing? What did I do wrong?" He smacked the back of his head in front of the civilians and it made him feel embarra.s.sed!

He was only interrogating the suspect calmly, despite his nervousness. So why did the chief suddenly smack the back of his head?!

"Quickly say sorry to Young Master Lu!" The old man reprimanded Officer Li which made Lu Yi Feng feel slightly better. He thought to himself, 'Hmph! Serve you right!'

"Ugh... Young Master Lu?" Officer Li asked in confusion. Truthfully, Officer Li was only a village boy who was able to become a policeman due to his persistence and hardworking personalities. He didn't know who Young Master Lu was.

The chief whispered softly, "I will tell you about him later, but you have to remember his face. We can't afford to offend him!" This was truly a case of having eyes, but failing to recognize Mount Tai! Fortunately, he came out of his office just in time.

Officer Li obeyed the chief's order while scratching the back of his head. He saw how the chief flattered Young Master Lu and he felt indignant. They were the police but they had to lower themselves to the people with power, but there was nothing he could do.

Feng Xiao Qing felt the same as Officer Li because 'that man' was able to evade the law because of his status too! She took a peek at Lu Yi Feng and she thought that she would see the same smug smile on the man's face due to the flattery --- just like 'that man'. However, she didn't see that expression on him. Instead, he felt uncomfortable.

Lu Yi Feng indeed used his status and power from time-to-time when that was neccessary, but he always tried to minimize to do that. After all, during his childhood, he saw firsthand how the power would inflict people to do disgusting things. That also increased his hesitancy to grow closer to new people and because of that, he felt uncomfortable with the excess flattery.

Feng Xiao Qing's lips slightly curled up and his expression made her feel calmer. After the appearance of the chief, everything went on so smoothly and Officer Li promised that he would give her an update when there was one.

When she finally stepped out of the police station, she was able to breathe at ease. "Where will we go now, Boss?"

Lu Yi Feng looked at the masked-girl beside him and answered, "To the company. We haven't finished talking about your schedule. An Ran is still waiting for you."

"En," Feng Xiao Qing nodded in agreement.

"Do you have anything else that you should take care of?" Lu Yi Feng asked.

"Like what?"

"Insurance?"

Feng Xiao Qing shook her head sadly. "No... I never apply for insurance. It was only a humble house, besides I don't earn that much money so I couldn't afford it back then," she explained softly.

Lu Yi Feng looked at her expression and it didn't seem like she was lying. However, his report said the opposite thing. Someone applied for insurance and it was under Feng Xiao Qing's name a few months ago. If it wasn't her, then who did that? It was only small insurance, but it could become a motive for arson.

"Do you have any other family members?"

Feng Xiao Qing's body slightly stiffened and Lu Yi Feng didn't miss that movement. "I don't have any," she answered softly, but there was a slight contempt in her voice. Lu Yi Feng decided not to push it any further, only nodded in response.

Hmm... Lu Yi Feng pondered over it for a moment. He couldn't find out about Feng Xiao Qing's background even with his best personal investigator -- Zhang Jie, it was like her records were hidden or erased by someone. He sighed but didn't bother to think about it anymore. He would just let Zhang Jie work harder then. A certain fellow suddenly felt the chill on his back when Lu Yi Feng thought of him. He almost cried when he felt the chill because he knew that it was the premonition that his boss would demand an unreasonable thing to find out once again.

They went back to the company. When they arrived in front of Lu Yi Feng's office, Lin San quickly stood up and stopped them from coming inside.

"Boss... I'm sorry. Someone is inside. I wasn't able to hold her back," Lin San said in a grim voice.

"Her?" Lin San nodded and Lu Yi Feng seemed to know who the woman was without being told about the woman's name. "I will handle her. Feng Xiao Qing, you are coming in with me, but it's better if you stay quiet and follow my lead."

Feng Xiao Qing was flabbergasted. 'Huh? Who are they talking about? Follow his lead? What is this about?' She thought in confusion.
