Once they arrived, Senja asked for all the plate to be put down on the table and they could leave.

"What kind of book do you like to read Prince Xiao Tianyao?" Senja asked politely and like usual, she was wearing a white dress.

"How about you young miss Senja? What kind of book that you preferred to read?" Xiao Tianyao asked her back while scanned this place.

This was a very huge building that Elder Dam had built for his granddaughter, as many book was there, it felt like all the collection of books gathered there.

"I like history." Senja picked one of the books from shelf of history and gave it to Xiao Tianyao.

"I have read this book." Xiao Tianyao smiled politely and returned the book to it shelf.

"I think Prince Xiao Tianyao must have read all the books here. Thus, feel free to take a look." Senja waved her hand toward the book shelves around her.

"What kind of book in that shelves?" Xiao Tianyao asked the shelves on the second floor.

"Politic, economy and medicine." Senja answered it.

However, Xiao Tianyao asked the same question while pointing at the other direction, he did that for two more times before Senja interrupted him.

"Does Prince Xiao Tianyao is testing me? Whether I know or not about the position of the books inside my own library?" Senja looked at him suspiciously. Of course she knew, she was reading those book for real and it was Gong Xu who always explained everything that she couldn't understand from the book that she was reading.

Thus, it was kind of funny for Xiao Tianyao to ask those questions toward her.

"Did I make it so obvious?" Xiao Tianyao was no longer pretending as he sat down on the chair and looked at all the food on the table. "All of these foods… will you eat them all?"

"Whether I will eat them or not, that was none of your business." Senja was trying to be calm in front of him, she didn't want to feel more intimidated by him.

However, this conversation was only running around the bush, she felt alert and uncomfortable with each second that pa.s.sed.

"Or do you want to give these foods to another person?" Xiao Tianyao looked at the porridge on the bowl, he doubted Senja would be able to finish that, not to mention with the other snack and cookies.

"To whom should I give this food? There are only Prince Xiao Tianyao and me, here." Senja feigned innocent.

"That's why I want to know…" Xiao Tianyao mumbled as he ate one of the cookies.

"Prince Xiao Tianyao, Senja doesn't understand, but I feel like Prince Xiao Tianyao has suspicion toward me, may I know what this is about? Or do you have a doubt because I bring many food inside the library?" Senja shook her head. "I don't understand."

But, Senja just smiled and said lightly. "All of this thanks to the physician in this mansion."

"Right." Xiao Tianyao nodded. "But, why do you need gauze and bandage when your legs are fine? Or someone else is injured here?"

Subconsciously, Senja's hand flew to her waist, trying to conceal the bandage and gauze from her pocket dress.

"Just in case." Senja replied, trying to be as calm as possible while her hands were fidgeting. "Just in case I need to change my bandage."

"So, it is a wound. I thought young miss Senja only sprain your ankle." Xiao Tianyao stood up and walked closer toward Senja. "Because I didn't see any wound on your legs when the physician checked on you."

Senja's expression turned rigid when she heard that, she felt like her tongue froze as her heart skip a beat.

"Why don't you say anything?" Xiao Tianyao asked, he stared down at Senja. "Or my suspicion is correct?"

"What is your suspicion? Why it has anything to do with me?" Senja tried to act brave, though her body started to shudder out of fear.

"You help the man, who wanted to kidnap my son, don't you?" Xiao Tianyao blurted out.

"Why should I help someone to kidnap your son? We are not that close and I will not get benefit from that act." Senja said matter- of- factly.

"That's what I want to ask, why did you do that?" His voice turned rigid as their conversation turned very tense.

"I don't have motive to do anything that could harm your son." Senja took step aside to avoid being cornered by him.

"But, you know that man, don't you?" Xiao Tianyao was squinted his eyes.

It was weird enough for Senja to suddenly interrupted their fight and then being caught, if it wasn't because of Senja, that man wouldn't be able to escape after they managed to save Xiao Mugi.

Afterward Senja's strange expression when Xiao Tianyao saved her, added that to the gauze and bandages that she brought.

However, Xiao Tianyao couldn't find anything suspicious inside this library, neither she could hide someone inside this place without being noticed, thus where was she hid that man?

"Why do you a.s.sume that I know that man?" Senja took one of the books and held it as her protection.

"You just asking meaningless question Young Miss Senja… the question that you know the answer." Xiao Tianyao stated.

"How can you think a thirteen years old girl, who was rarely appear in the public and will always spend her time inside a library, reading books, has anything to do with kidnapping and mysterious man?" Senja walked toward the door.

"That statement only make you less suspicious, but doesn't mean you can't do that." Xiao Tianyao said rigidly.

"If you have solid evidence of my involvement, you can find me again here, but before that, please leave." Senja opened the door and held it for him. "You are not here to read a book, Prince Xiao Tianyao." She said politely. "I hope you don't mind for me being honest, but your presence disturbed me."

Xiao Tianyao chuckled as an animosity shone in his eyes when he walked past Senja. "I hope you can be honest with me for another things, Young Miss Senja."

And with that being said, Xiao Tianyao left the library as he felt more convinced that Senja had something to do with the intruder from last night.

After all, Senja was still too young and inexperienced to lie to someone like Xiao Tianyao, whose life was filled with schemed and ploy. It was too early for her to be able to deceive him.

After Xiao Tianyao left, Senja told the servants and the guards that no one allowed to come inside before hastily locked the door. fortunately the library only have one big window, if someone tried to take a look inside and couldn't find her, they would a.s.sume that Senja was in the other side of the library.

She made sure that no one would disturb her before she went to the secret room.

The door cracked opened and immediately Senja could smell blood in the air. She gasped loudly and almost screamed by the scene that she was seeing now.

Gong Xu was laying on the ground, pooled in his own blood with pale face and lips that had turned purplish.

Someone poisoned him!

At first Gong Xu didn't have intention to sneak inside the wedding party, just like what Senja had said, it wasn't safe for him to linger too close with those people from the palace, however, when he saw the child in Qianru's lap.

Suddenly he decided to stay for awhile.

He was hiding at the place that no one could see him, but he was able to observe everyone moves. The first hour, there was nothing weird that happened.

But, when he saw Qianru was about to leave the party with Xiao Mugi, he saw someone suspicious was following her.

Thus, he decided to go and take a look of the situation.

Halfway, Senja caught up with Qianru and offered to walk her to her courtyard, even so, the mysterious man was still following her to the courtyard and hid behind the building.

And the rest was a chaos.
